Great central location park views, breakfast was scrumptious. Showers co old improve.

Tour was great, room was quiet, staff smoking outside kept coming into our room, bathroom shower need replacing, foos at start and finish of tour was great, in between just frozen supermarket food, Michelle in dining room was fantastic, overall good holiday.

Right from the start the lady at the reception desk was rude to us. We arrived at the room and it was not clean. I wiped over the bedside table and all other surfaces with baby wipes as there was visible dirt. We found rubbish from previous guest (a large bag from a packet of hot cross buns) next to the bed. The water jug that was in the fridge was absolutely filthy. We left to attend a function soon after we arrived and returned home late. We were sleeping at 10 am when the same rude lady from reception knocked repeatedly on our door and insisted that her house keeping enter the room to "clean" it. I explained that we were still sleeping. She was not happy with me and tried looking past me into our room. I shut the door and curtain and left her standing there furious. I could not believe it! We had paid for 2 nights but we left that afternoon. Also there was no parking and it was hard to find a park on the street. There was no internet, the pool looked nothing like picture and was dirty. On the up side the shower pressure was great!

Well dumb blonde for receptionist no kitchen could hear the people next door flushing toilet and hear the alarm going off from the unit underneath. If u wanted reception at 7 in the morning it was not open. If u have a car really hard to get out of the parking. Best thing close to shops. Not a resort motel more like it.

Very nice ensuit rooms for good price. We also liked the pool very much, very relaxing and clean. There is a nice park nextdoors. Walking distance from the beach and shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and allowed us to check-in two hours before the official check-in time. Thanks! The rooms were clean, but we found some small cockroaches, but it is quite normal in tropical countries, so no worries, it was OK.

Nice location near the coolangatta beach and the airport. But the resort is too old. Old toilets and kitchen. Reception is closed most of the times. Breakfast is not worth the cost they charge. I have experienced the worst ever Wi-Fi service here. Gets disconnected every two minutes. Housekeeping must be improved. Duvets and bed covers look like they were not washed for a long time. You will get better places in coolangatta.

If you are a non smoker don’t stay here, the rooms are tightly packed and they allow people to smoke on balcony’s so you’ll find your neighbours smoke constantly wofting in. Additionally our balcony was contained old cigarette butts. When I started the aircon it smelt like smoke because the intake is from a smoking area and had obviously infiltrated the air conditioning unit. These guys need to get with the times and actually implement a smoking policy that addresses the needs of non smokers. Room hygiene was poor: curtains mouldy, I found a cockroach. I realise this is a budget hotel and I wasn’t expecting Buckingham palace but basic hygiene would have been desirable.

First of all the rooms are disgusting filled with bugs secpndly we mov\ved the blanket over and there wasblack things so we slept on the duve witth our own towel as our blankets. Pools dirty filed with bugs and moss which has never been clean. The Wi-Fi doesnt work and the furniture provided looks like it has never been clesn honestly most disgusting place do not stay here.

Quaint older style. Clean and tidy. Pleasant garden and pool.

Very old fashioned motel — type accommodation… however quiet location overlooking Park, Australian style cooked breakfast at the hotel very reasonable price of only 5 dollars.

Don't bother… Police car in driveway on arrival. Hmmmmm.

Nice big room with a large balcony facing onto a park. Quietest good value motel we stayed on east coast.

My Husband and I stayed at the Bombora Resort recently for a Friday and Saturday it was perfect for our visit. Room very clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast the best and great customer Service very attentive. Would visit again.

Very uncomfortable beds. Tiles coming off everywhere. All round bad layout in the bathroom toilet. The only thing that is good is the breakfast.

Cheap for a reason! Very basic room with old and soft mattress. Front desk staff, probably the owner, unhelpful.

Bombora is clean in a quiet spot, but just a short walk to beaches. Shops restaurants.

Slimey critter at Front desk. We made the honest (and big) mistake of booking accomodation at Bombora resort for the wrong dates! (Booked for April instead of March, so one month in advance) We realised this almost instantly and cancelled our booking but unfortunately our Visa card was charged the full rate. Went into the resort to speak to someone in person and explain the innocent mistake we had made. Back to old Slimey, he didn't want a bar of it. Didn't even bother to help us in any way. Happy to take the moooooooney. I do not see how refunding an accidental booking, made for one month in advance would put your business out of pocket in any way. I would like to know what would happen to travellers who genuinely needed to cancel accomodation bookings (in advance) Travellers who had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, illness, emergencies etc? Just a heads up for others thinking of booking accomodation here. Make sure you are 1000% sure you can stay because you will be charged regardless.

Genuine booking error, I was in a rush and accidentally booked wrong dates. Cancelled within hours and charged full price. Little did I know this was a blessing in disguise this place was horrendous. Outdated brick exterior, poor location, rude staff. Conclusion: book correct dates, and stay somewhere on the beach.

When you see RESORT advertised you would think spa, pool, golf etc with the unit with a kitchenette. I should of read the description I know and realised it was only a very basic motel with only a bar fridge and kettle. The bed was comfortable. The shower only has a curtain which allows the water to run over the floor. The view over the park was nice and convenient to walk to the street.

I couldn't fault this resort. The location was superb. It took less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach. For surfers there was a choice of 4 beaches. If the wind was onshore at D'bah, it was off shore at Rainbow Bay, Kirra or Snapper Rocks. It was just perfect for a surfer's holiday. The staff were excellent. Worst place I have ever stayed in my whole life. First, the staff were not polite, there was no air conditioning or internet. However, all of this may have been tolerable if I didn't find cockroaches not only in the room, but in my BED! My friend and I only booked for two nights. The first night we were exhausted and in the middle of the night I felt something crawling on me. When I sat up on my bed to see what it was I saw baby cockroaches crawling on my bed and then a huge one flew on me. At this point I woke my friend up and we both pulled back the covers, as I was only sleeping on one side of the double bed, and under them were twenty plus baby cockroaches. It was the worst! It was disgusting! We called the manager who was somewhat apologetic, but said he wouldn't have believed us if I hadn't filmed a video of what had happened and shown it to him. He moved us to another room, but we could not sleep as every little thing freaked us out. In the morning we were told that we would be refunded one nights stay, not two and that would be it for compensation. We refused to pay to stay there another night and spent our last day in Coolangatta tired, angry and searching for a new place to stay. And on top of all this we were promised a call from the manager after the exterminators had come which we never got. Again it was the worst and will never recommend it to anyone, rather sleep in your car.

I made a booking by mistake, genuine error, wanted to book in Noosa area not Coolangatta. When I realised my mistake they refused to credit the booking fewhich I paid in full. Happy holidays if this there attitude toward interstate custmers.

Me mother and a friend arrived at this dump and then rang reception and owner hung up this was not until the owner was awake at 11pm as the flight didn't get in till late then the owner said pay $80 dollars or piss off in three seconds all the staff are a joke no house keeping nothing internet nothing even if you paid for usage the owner name is TROY rude as hell abusive and nothing worse the package is fraud and the room is not as described and fake this guy is a SCAMMER PLUS DONT BOOK OR STAY THERE EVER WARNING TO ALL VISITORS AND GUESTS! the pool was a joke and then the owner TROY and his partner and two kids and the family dog went for a swim! illegal operations at this resort and not genuine we have all the photos for proof and will be getting the ACCC, and going to Today Tonight and then to ACA on channel nine. Beware don't stay here or visit under any conditions.

No late check in after 5pm and duty manager wouldn't answer phone. Almost two hours before we got in to our room for barely an hour's sleep with no air conditioning. No hot water was the 'icing' on the cake. Don't put yourself through it.
