Terrible experience. We're group of 7 people booked ticket online. And when we get there they said we've to stay in 4 different rooms. We wanted to stay together but they fixed us in different rooms without letting us know. Staff was really rude he said were fully booked we can't help you with that. And we ask for refund but they didn't refund our money. It's just ripping off people.

My stay was very pleasant. Clean, comfortable. Would recommend for anybody just traveling. Located close to everything. People were especially just great. Thank You ❤️

Great facilities, clean and close walk to the beach. Staff are very helpful and volleyball games were a hit highly recommend.

I stayed here in January for two weeks and I absolutely loved it. The staff were great, it was an excellent opportunity to meet people, and it was very clean and well taken care of. The only thing that would stop me from returning is the fact that there was no air con so I didn't sleep well for the duration. Apart from that, I would recommend. :)

Best price in town for sure. A backpacker location just 2 tram stops away from the heart of surfers. They got b ball hoop, sauna, pool, TV room. As well as all the amenities. You can share a dorm or get an apartment. It's a mint place. Staff are great to have a laugh with.

I enjoyed my stay here at Surfer's Paradise Hostel. It has a bit of a party atmosphere and they engage in volleyball games in the courtyard and have the usual pub crawls. It's close to the beach, but not super convenient to walk to anywhere else. The rooms were clean, but the Wi-Fi was problematic in the dorm I stayed in.

The best hostel I've been so far in the east coast, really nice staff, all the amenities provided and even the offer free uber down to the surfers paradise, which is only a 15 minutes walk, but for the lazy or rushy ones is really handy. Really worth it! Rooms are super clean, bathroom too inside the room and the breakfast is a normal breakfast, but you have coffee all day long in the reception! I couldn't ask for more!

Highly recommendable hostel for all people who are searching for socializing, sport activities and fun! Taylor and his Dad put very much effort in, that your stay in their hostel is as much comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The staff mostly consists of other backpackers, which makes the hostel much more authentic and makes socializing easy. The dorms were super clean, the parties were crazy, the people were awesome — that's how a hostel should be!

Absolutely worth 80 a night for a private room. We had the whole apartment to ourselves! Kitchenette and everything! Worth every dime and great location too! Would definitely recommend :)

Excellent for the price. Share rooms (not co-ed), each with their own ensuite. Solid/comfortable bed. Only attempt the underground parking if you have a small car & excellent reversing skills.

Stayed here for 2 weeks and I tell you, it’s the best backpacker experience I have ever had in my life. The staff here were super friendly, engaging. The facilities are great too. If you expect hotel like features, you’d be best to check into a hotel, otherwise this place was on a great standard for a backpacker! Happy travels!

Loved my stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and the facilities were relatively clean. They organize a wide range of activities, from pub crawls to national park tours. Mix all of that + cheap alcohol = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stayed in room 12, 6 bed mix dorm with ensuite. The room was great, had a ceiling fan and roomy bathroom which was cleaned daily. Swimming pool, TV room and activities to join in every day which is fun. Not 5 stars because the kitchen was never clean, hardly any pots/pans/knives etc. Also music is played outside from first thing until 10pm, which is nice except the volume was always so loud which doesn't suit everyone. Even from your room you can hear the music blaring if you have earphones in and are trying to watch or listen to your own things, or trying to sleep. Also the water in both showers and kitchen sinks would fluctuate so much that one moment you are washing in cold water and next you are being scolded. Very annoying.

Nice staff, spacious rooms, a little away from the central part of the city though. Not a party hostel, very good for relaxing. Do recommend!

Best hostel experience I’ve ever had. Decent rooms, good amenities, awesome game room. But more importantly all the staff were amazing; Taylor, Tom, Steve, and the owner Brad all made an effort to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Fairly clean and maintained. Staff friendly but only issue was having the lock to my door break, staff didn't help out much and there was no resolution or accommodation to having been locked our room. Would not have got back in if it weren't for another guest kicking the door in.

Great hostel if you're looking for a fun time with a young, international crowd. Lots of activities offered, free laundry and cooking options. Two tram stations away from the city center but rides are reasonably cheap and there are free shuttles running every hour. Cleanliness is acceptable but not a benchmark.

Cool Resort. Volleyball Basketball Billard Table Tennis Kicker … Everything your heart desires. Rooms and mattresses are very good. A little far from the centre.

Lovely place to stay With affordable rates and free breakfast. A place to meet new and interesting travelers.

I really liked the rooms and beds. Also the staffs were very friendly and helpful.

Pretty comfy and accessible to the city as well The staff are really friendly maybe I would just love a little sandwich Bar or something smacky which we could grab from the place :)

I had a terrible experience in the hostel. Staff are very rude, they know anything about costumer care! The worst place I ever stayed! Dirty toilets, terrible breakfast, they ofter a cheap white bread with jam and call it breakfast! There is not even a black coffee! Far from everything! I had a very bad time, dont recomend to anyone!

Clean and comfortable toilets. Free laundry. Free breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a Camper van, so I cannot evaluate rooms.

After reading all the reviews I was quite deflated when I arrived. I wondered what all the fuss was about. Clearly, I was wrong or maybe I was there at the right time and met the right people. The rooms are clean and spacious considering most hostels would shove an extra couple beds in where possible. But here a 6 or 5 bed room would have enough room for anyone. All rooms are ensuite, even the dorms. My only concern was that there are no lockers. The building has been changed from a motel into a backpackers so there's facilities all over the place. TV rooms (nice), pool, volleyball​ court (game everyday at 6pm) and the bar. The hostel does put events on. A couple of quiz nights per week. Loved it! And a great laugh! I have to say, for this the people and staff made the night. One guest happened to be a fire juggler/spinner and was happy to give us a performance. Then this lead onto a talent competition. Lots of dancing and then someone climbed a coconut tree for a snack for the group. What a night! Maybe this was a one night off. No idea but I loved it! The hostel also offers a free uber Service to the transit center. Fantastic idea! My only concern was that 90% of the staff were backpackers working for accommodation. While this made my experience great and chilled, I felt that the hostel was getting free work out of many people. I have to question the work ethics of this when there are so many doing this. They clearly don't want to pay staff. Besides that awesome!

Great place, good "ball" events, good location. The only think is the silent hours at night. But defiantly reasonable.

I'm sorry but I did not have a good experience here. I came this place on the last Christmas with my wife. We rent a double-room and share the bathroom with other two guys. The room is very small, just fits the double-bed, and does not any thing else but only the bed. Two pillows and a cover sheet were provided, but not any quilts (that night was quite cold for me). Wifi was too weak to be used.

Must be over 18 to stay here is the only downside. Clean and the rooms of 4 have their own bathroom.

A little outside the town and you can't drink their own alcohol but must always buy something at the Baar, but otherwise it is a nice and cosy Hostel. The staff was also very nice.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, free laundry, free coffee, free Wi-Fi, sauna, pool… Really cool place. Beach/city center 10 minute walk away.

Clean, lots of facilities, and fun! Only downside is no byo alcohol but it's not too expensive at the bar inside.

This is one of my favourite hostels in Australia! The atmosphere is really good especially if you want to be social and meet people. Free Wi-Fi, it's pretty slow in the rooms but whatever. The staff are amazing! Really helpful and they hang out with everyone in the common area and make everyone feel comfortable. They have activities every night so really good for solo travelers to meet friends. This is more of a party place I'd say but not over the top by any means. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

Funny staff, activity all days. I think it's the best backpacker in surfers.

Stayed in another hostel called "Backpackers Paradise" in the city and it was horrible. This one has a familial vibe to it with the kitchen/bar and a volleybal net in the middle of the hostel (so you always pass people when going in or out) Only 3 stars because it is a good 15min walk from the centre, which became a bit irritating after doing it multiple times.

Backpacker located 5-10 min walk hard Center of Surfers, beach 2 mins away, a large kitchen, nice animations, the price is reasonable for the area. So what'else!

We spent 3 days in this backpackers and found this place really great, the atmosphere familiale. Le corner … and especially Thibaut who drives the courtesy bus which helped two French who did not understand what was said the staff and I have already given the details of this hotel to a French man who will bring his family and wanted a nice place!
