Thankyou would love to give a review of the Palazzo Versace. The motel is exquisite, the staff friendly & menu perfect. Lucky to visit once a year. My boyfriend was a stonemason in 1992. Pools magical.

Palazzo Versace was the best motel I ever stay in door staff make me feel welcome and the staff was friendly and helpful and the manager could not do enough to help me out and porter was great carry my bags to my rooms and the rooms was fresh clean and clean fresh towels and the restaurant was fresh and delicious to eat for BLD and I got no fault at this place I be back.

It was amazing. Best staff, beautiful atmosphere & ammenities. Food was 5 star. They treated my darling daughters birthday with elegance & generosity. Absolutely recommend 💕

Our room was filthy nice on outside but filthy on inside I would not recommend staying here There is nothing luxury about it.

The bad …Furniture old outdated and well used dirty and scratched.
Occasional chairs were ripping from wear, skirtings needed cleaning and repainting, scuffs on wall need cleaning off, room aircon noisy & toilet not working properly,
For such a high room rate and the supposed lux stigma and high star rating it carries I was left underwhelmed 😩
The good …staff friendly and helpful foyer is beautiful bathroom was lux and comfortable bed.

We’ve been coming here for the last 6 years for our anniversary & wouldn’t go anywhere else, we love the place & awesome staff.

What an amazing hotel, so friendly, just an amazing place to stay.

We were stay at this hotel last night to celebrate my birthday but it was very disappointed for the room and receptionistas service.
The pool make the hotel look nice but the room is terrible for the 5star hotel. The bedding were look so old and dated just like the fifty style. The TV unit and table are chipped. I was really don't want to stay once I walked into the room.
It not worth to pay $505 for a night at all. Plus we found two long brown hairs on bath tub while I using it. I normally don't like to use the spa at hotel as I m worry about the cleaness.

The whole place is one giant piece of luxurious art! Fabulous 😍

Quality, style, glamour. This place is beautiful. The marble, mosaics, artwork, chandeliers, quality of food, beautiful bathroom products and friendly staff. It’s all wonderful.

Just stayed there last night would definitely recommend it and the staff are so friendly got upgraded to pool view from the lovely receptionist after telling her im leaving Australia after living here 11yrs ive been visiting the versace for 10yrs for food and drinks but never stayed there its everything I was hoping it would be and more thank you for making it memorable for me.

Stayed for 4 nights in a two bedroom Condo. Everything was perfect food and service Exceptional. A great experience.

Very run down and over rated. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condominium and the tiles in the private pool were falling off, pool dirty and slippery. Service was good and friendly but the hotel needs lots of work considering what you pay to stay!

I love staying here, wonderful friendly staff. Always relaxing atmosphere. Positively the best luxury resort in Australia. Everything was perfect, from lush ambience to attentive staff. The restaurants are amazing. Our suite was just spectacular overlooking the pool.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, fantastic service, clean good location. Beautiful pool only downfall is we couldn’t swim as the water was too cold and it isn’t heated. Amazing pool, would love to of swum but just tooo.

Always go here for cocktails when over from England. Very disappointed today with the lack of service.
Had to ask the bar staff for a cocktail menu and waited 40 mins with empty glasses for a second drink but no one came so we left.

We had a seafood platter dinner at one of the restaurants. Was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Old! Broken lock in women restroom, no soap, swimming pool beds very damaged. Christmas dinner ordinary. People at the service are very nice but I am sad for them as they have to compose with the reality of a too old hotel with no renovation. Certainly the last time for this hotel as it is empty for Christmas. This is a big disappointment as I am very fan of Versace brand!

A fantastic high tea experience in a very well kept hotel. It is in a great location, with easy access as you get free parking. The pool area is to die for. I could spend all day lounging on the beautiful sun beds that are on offer. This hotel is right next to the Marina Mirage shopping precinct for any shopping or dining desires.

Very tired desperately in need of comprehensive makeover. Too expensive for what you get. Service is poor. They take a bond on your credit card of twice the room price which I found to be a bit of a rort and check in is later than most hotels at 3.00 pm. My room was very noisy from constant traffic being right on a busy road near street level and you could hear people in the room above walking around on the timber floors. The hotel was fairly empty so they could have given me a better room I thought. I stayed to attend a conference and also found the morning and afternoon teas and lunch the first day to be exceedingly average. However the breakfast (sushi in particular) and lunch the second day somewhat redeemed the place. Other plus which made me alter my initial one star review was that the bed was comfortable.

Gorgeous room with fantastic service, food was delicious! Felt like royalty! The pools and spas were just amazing and then there was the room service, just brilliant! Had so much fun and was always well catered to by the wonderful staff. Made my stay so worthwhile and one I will remember :)

We visited for High Tea which was served in the bar area in the main foyer. The service was impeccable and our waitress was attentive and gave a detailed explanation of all the items included. The food was beautifully served and delicious. The surroundings opulent and elegant. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and felt very pampered. We stayed several hours and never felt hurried. Highly recommend.

Exceeded expectations — despite being renowned as the best. Rooms are large and exceptionally maintained. Serviced daily plus nightly turn down & tidy up (and they were like ninjas in that we only every saw them do it once over 5 nights). Toiletries, robes and bedding were all exceptional quality. Pool area was lovely too — although not heated, but swimable. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants, gym well appointed and parking included is a nice touch.

Absolutely beautiful location and amazing staff. I hosted a three day conference at Versace and the events staff were immensely accommodating and helpful. The food was first class and delicious, the rooms were beautifully styled with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The pool area was divine at night and your function room was perfect! The personal gifts in our rooms were also a perfect little touch. Thanks for such an amazing experience.

Excellent establishment — food is first class and the decor is brilliant. Reasonably expensive but you get what you pay for and therefore the price is well worth the experience. The staff were extremely helpful and professional.

In my 10 years of travelling experience, this is by far, service wise, the best hotel I've stayed in. The rooms were amazing, the breakfast was insanely good and the staff was very professional.

More of 4.5 stars. It’s a beautiful hotel in the over the top opulent way, but starting to show its age. Carpets starting to fray a bit and the pool area looking a bit dingy in areas. Beautiful lobby. Well appointed rooms. Great bed and it’s dead quiet in the rooms with heavy curtains blocking out any outside light. Nice turndown service with chocolates on the pillow and aromatherapy oils burning. Beautiful tiled bathrooms. Water a bit slow going down the sink though. The staff are lovely and friendly. Some of servers at the bar look a bit confused sometimes though and some drinks have been missed. The bar has lovely cocktails with music and entertainment to enjoy in the evening. The high tea is delicious and quite filling. The spa is lovely. The massage itself is average. Breakfast is nice with a wide selection.

By far the fanciest place iv ever stayed. The entrance is amazing with its chandelier and the rolls Royce in the drive way. Rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated. Pool area (private beach) is a great addition and full gym area is awesome not to mention the day spa! Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. Oh and it has a whole room for pooping! Like a whole room the size of my entire bathroom!

What a joke… ok I will say one waiter was great, open happy & very friendly outside of that the rest of the staff where rude my bags were misplaced and 1 of three rooms were delayed so they offered to move our room to another wing and when we complained reception told us that we bought these rooms on luxury escape and that they wouldn’t make any money from us anyway followed by a very blank stare. To be honest this sort of thing doesn’t really bother me, I travel a lot and the opportunity for a comfortable cheap bed is always good and if occupancy rates are down there’s a reason and its there for the taking. Palazzo … If you were killing it you wouldn’t be selling cheap rooms.

I don't know where to start… The room was amazing and very homely, the beds were amazing. Best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The food there is amazing, we ate at another hotel the night before and it topped it without trying. Similar dishes but so much tastier. I was on crutches with various fractures but found it easy enough to get around and staff only to helpful.

Nicely positioned 5 star resort (which I will rated 4* when compared with other resort) due not many amenities in resort and areas which is ready for renovated. My frustration for 3 stars rating was dining and lunch experience — we have in our package 1 dinner and 1 lunch which we could not use due restaurant capacity and as we try 2 times early morning in 3 days to book dinner restaurant was booked — if we know that we will book 1mts prior arrival to have dinner there. Because we was losing 25min under building trying to find parking we was late 2 min after 2:30 and we been told chef not taking more orders even if is lunch up to 3pm then we went to swimming pool bar trying to order 2 pizza for kids and we been told they running out of pizza base (OMG 5 star resort running out of pizza base? ) We feed kids and our self in MC Donald next door. Shame on you 5 star resort Versace you let your guest to leave resort hungry and angry. Generally Australia has one of the worst hospitality services in the world beside this hotel.

Yep it's expensive. But well worth it. Rooms are beautiful the service magnificent and the decor to die for. It's something special if you're looking to be treated something special. Thank you to the staff of Palazzo you are wonderful.

In addition to the appearance and brand, here is really bad! Even live four days, the last day does not clean the room, the omission of the guests to use the toiletries and water, reception and customer service is not polite, we travel around the world, stayed many five-star hotels, this bad to want to curse! It's a nightmare. Accommodation experience! F**k versace!

Beautiful room and bathroom. Lovely staff. Too noisy outside to open the balcony doors which was a pity because the weather was perfect. The pool area is great with comfortable daybeds a lots of shade. Breakfast buffet is sumptuous and delicious.

Absolutely everything has the Versace logo on it. You'll feel like you fit in more if you're dressed up like your going to a wedding. It's old style flash, if that's your kind of thing. The restaurant staff were lovely.

In terms of food and service the Plazzo Versace is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The fine dinning Italian restaurant is the perfect spot for a long lunch with amazing views of the pool and top quality food. The tiger prawns were the best I’ve ever had. The breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent and the service is of very high standard. The pool area is great for children with a man made beach and shallow area. Some areas of the hotel could use a little touch up, but the service makes the hotel shine. Nice little touches like live music in the lobby area each evening and beautiful daily flower arrangements put this hotel above the rest. I would definitely recommend.

At the north end of the tourist mecca that is Gold Coast, located away from that strip, lies The Versace. Marble overload and grandeur like no other, the place speaks volumes of what its core purpose is. It envelopes you in the most luxurious of suites, it feeds you in its lavishly appointed restaurants with food to match. It spoils you endlessly and helps makes you believe you are not out of place there. The staff are trained to deliver the service expected of The Versace and are always helpful and courteous without being to regimented. All the dining options are superb with faultless service and the highest standard of cuisine. At breakfast, Gina, who has been present on our many visits runs a great service with well trained colleagues. Go on, give it a go! Your worth the spoil.

I'm unsure if these people are criticising Palazzo Versace because they're all critics (congratulations if so) or just plain annoyed because they could only stay for an hour. Keep doing what you're doing Palazzo Versace! I highly recommend this location to any couple who wish to take their relationship to new heights! Even to a family with higher taste. Palazzo Versace never ceases to amaze me!

I've been to the Versace a few times now, and all I can say is that it's sadly getting worse and worse. When I first came here, the place was so classy (and worth your money), to the extent that people were not allowed to wear singlets, beachwear and thongs into the restaurant for breakfast. I'm into Day 2 of our stay here, and it's extremely disappointing so far. Soon after we checked in, we were berrated by one of the service staff when trying to take a lift down, and he was going up. I let it slide because it was already around 4pm and we just wanted to get to the pool and relax a bit before dinner. When we arrived at the pool, I proceeded to the pool house to ask for some towels. They didn't have any, and told me to go back up to our room to get our towels. No worries, we didn't need to swim. We decided to order a couple of drinks. We placed our order, and were asked where we are sitting. I replied that we hadn't chosen a place yet, and they said we needed to choose one and give them the seat/table number, so they could place the order and bring our drinks to us. Despite searching several times on the seats we eventually chose, I couldn't find any numbers. Their response was to keep refusing assistance to us, and sending me back to look for the number again. This happened 3 times. I eventually found the seat numbers, by which time the pool fellow told my husband he could "just wait and take the drinks from the bar" himself. Great service.

Champagne prices for beer service. We upgraded and frankly we shouldn't have bothered. It's missing the things that basic accommodation has. E. G. No coffee maker. Even the holiday inn does a coffee machine and pods. Breakfast is basic with pre cooked poached eggs sitting in cold water. Jason in the piano bar provided excellent service and attention to detail. That's one out of many who fell short.

Nice restaurant furnishing. We had seafood buffet which have crabs, shrimps and oysters. No lobsters. Hot plate options also available. Delicious desserts.

Sure enough, the old five-star hotel has been established, although for some time now, but everything is maintained very well, so that tourists look at the eyeful are luxurious expensive gas, praise!

Only one Versace Palazzo in Australia, attention to detail is impeccable. We loved our time here. Staff very polite and helpfull.

We were at Palazzo Versace for a high tea in the Vanitas restaurant, during the week it is only $65 per person which is excellent value given the amount and quality of both the food and drinks. Would highly recommend.

Love this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant Vanitas is just superb. It's expensive but if your looking for designer high class on the gold coast Versace is definitely world class. Highly recommended.

Palazzo Versace is a great place not only to stay but also to relax. Helpful staff and very comfortable rooms. Staff is knowledgeable and personable. Can't wait to go back! Will be looking forward to trying the amazing breakfast buffet they have in house. I can't think of anything that went wrong or was below my most optimistic expectations. I can't think of any place I would rather stay Gold Coast. Housekeeping is above and beyond any expectations. One of the best hotels in the world. Recommend this to everyone.

Service and staff friendliness was outstanding, certain parts of the hotel are very dated. The food was excellent, desserts was amazing another key feature was the best equipped gym I've been to in a hotel however this was let down by a lack of towels or toliet. All in all a pleasant experience.

Attended Versace for a wedding and it was just a perfect venue. Beautiful photos were taken at the pebbled driveway and the interior is just as glamorous. It was really nice that the ceremony and the reception were able to be in the same venue. In the break between events, my partner and I had Devonshire tea at the cafe/bar and it was just perfect. The ballroom for reception was incredibly done up and the staff were attentive during the night. Small thing that could be improved was that drinks were not topped up as often as I would have liked. Food was excellent as well. Overall would recommend as a wedding or event venue.

The Medusa Ballroom looked fantastic. The entrance and lobby is fantastic and feels very expensive. This, along with the room, makes events at Versace very special. Food was average.

Great night out, attentive service matched with good quality food. We never felt rushed. All topped off by a great live band performing at the bar.

Dining is bellow average. Tables were not set properly. Felt more like some bar and grill restaurant at surfers paradise.

I would not recommend staying here during the school holidays (or other busy) periods, as hotel does not adequately carter for near full occupancy — long queues at the restaurants, slow room service, not enough lounge chairs by the pool, etc. In general, the level of service has gone down over the years. Our last stay in late December was disappointing.

Everytime we come for a short break we come here our first 2 times were phenomenal I couldn't recommend this place enough service and the food was exceptional we didnt mind paying premium because thats what you got. Unfortunately our last stay was very disappointing while the service still being great the food was terrible. Room service expensive and tastless, the buffet our most favorite thing was horrible it was obvious it wasnt about quality any more its about cutting costs forgetting quality charging the same. So disappointed unfortunately we will be looking for a new place to regularly stay.

I loved the costumer service and the rooms were WOW! I also loved the pool and the restaurants. Everything about this hotel was perfect. Suitable for everyone. Also very hand having the shopping centre so close by. Overall this hotel is like heaven.

Stayed for BMW work launch. First trip to Gold Coast and what a way to experience my first visit! All staff I encountered had the friendliest & best care factor ever! Nice to get service from true sincerity! Goes a million miles! Also lost my wallet and cleaning staff handed it in! Goes to show what calibre of honesty that comes with this Fine Establishment! I will be coming here again that's a definite! I highly recommend Palazzo Versace! You will not be disappointed! Oh have I mentioned the quality of opulence that comes with it…

Excellent service at the lounge bar. Very busy day with a wedding party and baby shower of 25 people plus kids. Thank you to Archie, for making our move from high tea to the longe bar so smooth. He really went above and beyond to accommodate a large group, coordinating arm chair moves and creating a space where the gathering coudl continue, even with a packed bar.

Not the happiest customer. I had an incident where hot water was spilled on me due to the fact that the waitress left the tray in the corner of the table. I got burned and I was in so much pain but the hotel was more interested in charging me for a cup of tea rather then looking after to see if I was ok or not. For a hotel of this caliber very poor service. Other then that the rooms and the atmosphere great.

Probably the best hotel i've ever stayed in, I recommend the Palazzo Versace to anyone who likes a touch of class, they also do a great full English Breakfast :-)

Staff are superb. But alas our room is not 5 star. Very disappointed. The curtains are broken. The bed sheets feel like they should have been retired a year a go, plus our bedside lamp does not work. We also asked to change rooms due to a loud bogan next store. Our mistake as that room was far better with a much bigger tv. We are booked in for another three nights. Let's hope they improve as we have always been big advocates of Versace. I think our money would of been better spent back in the Barossa at The Louise.
Update. After bringing our concerns to the duty manager, we have been moved back to a room that we initially had (less the bogan). Also offered a invitation to high tea at Versace's expense. So we can increase the rating to 4 stars. To get 5 stars Versace needed to be like The Louise, where from arrival to departure you feel relaxed, at ease and in luxury. But we thank the staff for trying to make up for the first day of our stay. We thank Ondrej for looking at future QA checks on the rooms to meet 5 star standard.
UPDATE 4pm and having to sit by the pool on our last afternoon because our room is just being cleaned. When we saw the attendant in the hall we asked her at 2.30 when would it be serviced… said she would do our room now (which is late by any standards) came back and she had just started. So much for improving the service. 4pm what a waste of our time. Very over Versace.

Went there for our honeymoon, Pros: Stunning interior decor in the lobby area, quiet and peaceful hotel. Cons: We have a deluxe king room which was quiet mediocre, no wow factor to it at all, the seafood buffet was ok just like any other gold coast resort as there was not many varieties and selections, the pool area has an adult section which was not very private at all, you can see and hear kids and families everywhere as they all have to walk pass the adult pool area to get into the lobby, very slow service to serve food and drink in the pool area, astonishingly staff has not much ideas of hotels facilites, so overall I wouldnt go there again as its not worth the price at all, I'd rather be in the Gold coast Marriott if I am given a choice. I cant see how so many people love this hotel as I travel a lot worldwide and enjoy staying in many 5 star resorts, this one didnt really do it for us at all as we were very dissapointed with the room which was very basic, the marble design was gorgeous but the rest needs an update, it felt very old and plain and my opinion didnt really reflect the Versace brand.
