Friendly, helpful, economical, clean room, very close to beach and airport. Bathroom tiny so not so good for plus size people but for us it was fine.

Recently stayed here to attend a family funeral. The owners were lovely and really helpful. The only let down was the weather non stop rain and it’s was a pity because the beach was right on the doorstep. The room was lovely and clean and modern. Highly recommended for sure.

We missed our flight and were lucky enough to discover La Costa Motel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they even picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. With 2 young kids and a heap of luggage, this meant a lot. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and the garden chairs with the picket fence and flowers outside made it such a home. It was really handy to have the beach nearby, a playground 10 mins away, and to be able to borrow DVDs for the kids to watch too. Our breakfast for the following day was so generous too. It was really upsetting missing our flight with 2 young kids, lots of luggage, no car and nowhere to stay. Staying at La Costa Motel was a lifesaver and we were so fortunate to have everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommend staying here x.

Great place to stay at a great price. Friendly staff, breakfast basket included containing cereal, toast, fruit, fruit juice. Also included in your stay 1 free beer or wine per person, bicycles and discount card for local businesses. Would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed there overnight recently with our kids, my partner booked the room so I didn’t get to see any pictures before we got there. Wow was I presently suprised when we were given our upstairs room. Immaculate and modern spacious dwelling overlooking the beach. Spotless and clean. Thumbs up would highly recommend.

We can’t say enough good things about La Costa Motel. We stayed here with a large group for our wedding over the weekend and right from booking through to checkout we felt so welcomed by Di and John and the rest of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The rooms were comfortable, clean and functional, we had everything we needed. Thank you so much Di and John — we will DEFINITELY be back soon! Great motel by Gold Coast airport, Coolangatta. Very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and all mod cons. Friendly and helpful owners.

The hotel was very convenient and comfortable. Excellent seaview and close to the beach!
My phone was left in the apartment which I didn’t noticed until I back HK. The staff was very nice that they sent the phone to HK directly! It was really appreciated!

We missed our flight back to NZ. The lady Karyn told us about this motel. We were even more surprised when we arrived. Such a stunning gorgeous cute motel. It has a 60's look which is beautiful, however amazingly modern inside. Very trendy. Di and John are so cool. They provided us with quaint bikes to ride around on and check out all the amazing beaches. Thank you so much. I fully recommend staying here. The beach is right there! Shops and restaurants so close!

Stayed 1 night because I had an early flight the next morning, so the location was great for getting to the airport by 5am.

Ideal for a night if catching a flight only two minutes from airport… very clean and comfortable. Reception vrry welcoming.

Unit 5 directly under an occupant that stomped around in hobnail boots til after midnight, then started again at 5am, all I wanted was a good nights sleep. Place was clean but over priced at $139

Lovely apartment. Bunks and a double bed. Simple but handy breakfast included. So close to the airport we just walked with kids after late arrival.

Good motel… You can get bicycle for visiting near by places. Even though it is far from surfer paradise (most happening place in gold coast), but still you can get one day bus/tram pass, which is very cheap & affordable. The only thing is it takes 1 hour to reach surfer paradise by bus+tram… And 2hours to reach sea world/wet n wild by bus+tram+ bus. And every thing gets closed by 5pm.

The service is good. The room is spacious and it is very close to the airport. My reserved tax did not turn up and l had to walk. It took only 30 minutes to walk with a big suitcase to the airport.

This was an excellent stay. Close to the beautiful Gold Coast Beach. John the owner, really made our stay comfortable. He was very informative about the area and what to do and where to eat. I recommend this place highly.

We have just reluctantly headed off from our stay at La Costa Motel. This charming little gem had a modern apartment with every convenience that perfectly suited our family of 5 (Bub in portacot). Di and John were friendly and accommodating hosts and a short skip to the beach this morning perfected our trip. Love it! We’ll be back at the next opportunity.

I stayed at La Costa a couple of years ago in an emergency situation with family being admitted at nearby John Flynn hospital. I was on my own and seriously I had one of the best stays in a motel ever. The staff were friendly, the room perfect and I slept soundly. I just wish I could have stayed longer and I know one day I shall return to enjoy it again.

Very nice motel only a short walk from beach, airport and southern cross University. Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Would recommend and would personally stay again.

We absolutely loved La Costa Motel. Originally we booked a studio and for a small amount we upgraded to the apartment which was beautiful. It has a bi level deck facing the beach and it was so relaxing to sit outside and have a drink and listen to the waves rolling in. Inside the most comfortable sofa ever I nearly didn't make it to the bed to sleep. There is a large Tv in living area and also one in the bedroom, also air con for those hot days. Diane & John were awesome hosts so welcoming & friendly & we loved the free shuttle to the airport. From now on this will be our Gold Coast accommodation before any trips we take as it is right opposite the airport. Great location easy walk to Kirra & Coolangatta can't wait to come back and stay a bit longer. Thanks again Diane & John for your hospitality, Ros & Blake.

Nice kitchen facilities and easy to cook meals for those on the run, bed was comfy and I sat in the chair for 3 hours watching a movie and they are quite comfortable. Lovely staff too. Fridge was a little noisy but there is a bit of car noise around too so not bad at all.

Rooms are nice and have a kitchen (at least number 11). The owner is very welcoming. Beach is 200m away. Don't forget to visit point danger when you are there.

AMAZING! We flew in from overseas and had a 10 hour stop over in Coolangatta. The service exceeded all expectations, picked up from the airport, dropped back, included a continental breakfast (which was just what we needed) for only a small fee and was just so friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect for our family of 5 and we all got several hours of sleep. Only 100m to the beach, cafe only a short walk away, perfect! Thank you for making our short stay so homely and comfortable. We will definitely return and recommend you to our family and friends. A great find on the Gold Coast right next to the airport.

The upstairs room is very nicely little out, clean and modern. You could spend a week here comfortably. Staff very friendly. This is close to the airport, which is why we choose it, but aircraft noise wasn't intrusive. If you have a car, parking is mainly on the street. Access to the upstairs room is by stairs only, so heavy/bulky luggage is a minor challenge.

Great place to stay for tourists who just come in and go out through the airport: very close to the airport. The hostess was very friendly to introduce most of must-visit places. We stayed at the apartment on the 2nd floor for the 1st day and move to a small room on the 1st floor on the next day. The apartment deserved to be stayed. The house will serve free lifts from/to the airport. Book rooms through one of reservation sites. You might pay more if you directly contact the place to book.

There are no words to describe how wonderful this place is! Di and John are the hosts that you want to be, always kind and cheerful and caring. The rooms are beautiful, clean and exactly what we needed for our mid-term weekend break! The beach is a one minute walk up the street and once you get there you may be the only people on earth. I can't wait to go back!

February 6, 2016 because the flight while staying at this beautiful hotel. When the boss knows when we just live for a long time from below 100 o 120 Australian knife knives. We stayed in room 7th (lucky number) inside the hotel is very beautiful, bathing supplies, coffee, snacks, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator. Very delicate, very clean.

This is located on the beach near the House looks beautiful, classical and minimalist decoration, barefoot feel comfortable entering the room. Complimentary coffee, tea and milk. Good service and even offered to take our luggage to the Airport (we have 4 people).

What a fantastic little find it! Hotel is beautiful, delicate and old, after excellent refurbished back to life again. Room lovely and spacious, Suite-as well as everything you may want or need. Even coffee and snacks!

The room was presented very nicely. The motel was really accommodating with our late arrival time. And the shuttle to the airport was appreciated as well.

I just stayed at La Costa Motel over the weekend for my Brother's Wedding and have nothing but positive praise for the owner Diane! The look and feel of the place was relaxing and laid back with a vintage beach side motel feel. I would absolutely recommend La Costa Motel to anyone looking for a short getaway.
