Amazing peaceful tastefully restored separate cabins by the river. This time we chose The Chookery. We were married here 4 years ago! Just gorgeous and very easy going helpful owners. Highly recommended for a great relaxing get away!

Different and delightful! Lots of character, old timber buildings converted to tastefully decorated, modern and comfortable rooms. One building is converted to an open sitting area with a fireplace. Walking distance to local pub with very good food. (Even won a raffle there-prize was a round of drinks! ) Cool gardens and enough distance from highway so noise was not a problem. Lots of life around the creek. Very appealing complex. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place to stay. Mandy and Leanne were wonderful hostesses. Very welcoming and helpful. Delightfully decorated cabins and rooms. If you need a place to stay in Chinchilla, this is it.

Quaint little cottages with the rustic cosy feeling. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Host Shara very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

She spoiled me by offering to make me a vegan dinner and I enjoyed both the delicious entree and dinner! The room was beautifully designed and decorated and the cottage was a rustic elegant and romantic getaway. Well worth a visit.

Stayed here with my wife and daughter on a trip to Charleville in April 2018. We loved the place so much we extended our trip to spend another night on the way back from Charleville. A great, quirky and very comfortable place to stay with fantastic hosts, Greg and Shara. We will be back again, maybe without daughter to enjoy a romantic stay when it’s colder. 100% recommend.

This is my third stay at the Laurels. It is a beautiful place, I love the cabins and different seating areas, and the hosts are welcoming and helpful. In the early evening the fire was lit for us, with the bonus of a cheese plate and music making it the perfect place to relax on a very cold evening! I'm sure we'll be back again.

Great place to stay, friendly and welcoming hosts, feels like an old homestead, only thing stopping a 5 star ranking was not being able to access Wi-Fi. Highlyrecommended!

What a quaint and delightful stay. It is as if you drive off the Warrego Hwy into another world. Worth spending more than a night especially if you want a great place to relax and unwind. The food is great and the decor is mind blowing-ly original. Also a great place to meet interesting fellow travellers.

I spoke with Shara to book our room, she let me know someone had previously booked the room but never showed. Although Greg and Shara missed out on the Friday booking, this worked out perfect for my friend and I. There were only 2 rooms available in Chinchilla for this night and this room was perfect for us. Shara offered an unexpected discount and even provided an extra bed for my son!

My partner and I stayed just one night on the recommendation of close friends and we were incredibly happy with our stay. Greg and Shara (the owners) we very kind and gave great recommendations for dinner. The boutique cabins are amazingly well put together and each is beautifully unique and self sustained. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with cereals, eggs, toast juice and tea/coffee etc. Overall a fantastic weekend, we will be back and recommending Laurals of Chinchilla to friends.

Overall atmosphere, feeling of relaxation, quirky but beautiful design, this place has it all. We came by accident, but we're already planning future trips to return.

Cold buffet breakfast is included in the accommodation rate plus we had dinner of huge prawns and perfectly cooked eye fillet steak to order. Shara also cooks Thai dishes on request! I recommend 'The Chookery' which overlooks Charlie's Creek for a romantic couple of nights — with room service dinner! Say no more…
