Really bad experience. Ordered a meal that took forever to be cooked, nearly an hour. Had a room booked. The room was hot. Went to turn on aircon but it wasn't plugged in, it was then we discovered the lead on the aircon was short and didn't even reach the power point. Then during the night I had a cockroach crawling on my arm. After killing that one, we found 3 other ones under the bed. There was some food wrapped in glad wrap under the bed. Also the side of the bed was sunken and it felt like I was going to roll out of bed. Then there was the sound of what I am guessing was the water pipes, which sounded like a jack hammer. After having very little sleep, we couldn't wait to leave.
Lovely old hotel with loads of character. Staff are all pleasant, professional and helpful. Meals from the bistro are delicious and great value for money. Rooms are basic as expected for the price but everything was clean and tidy. My parents room had a few cockroaches though ours was fine. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

For $70 we got a closet-sized room, cockroaches, a disabled fire alarm, one working power point, and an unbelievable amount of noise from both guests and outside individuals. Would not stay here again, would not recommend to others.
