What an amazing hotel. The room I have is beautiful, clean has all amenities. I really can't fault it. The couple at reception (I'm assuming owners) were very pleasant and helpful
what a gem and bit of paradise so close to the CBD.

Our stay was great, roomy and comfortable.
However, DO NOT STAY HERE! We stayed on 29 September, and we are still waiting for our security bond to be refunded. I have waited, sent several emails, made many phone calls and have also contacted booking. Com. I keep being told that it's my bank that is at fault. I have waited patiently for long enough before posting this review. Hopefully now, Chris and his team might take more urgent action.

Would not recommend bed bugs and terrible service and wall vents are filthy.

The staff make this place what it is, they go above and beyond to make your stay great. They are helpful on arrival, making you feel welcome, it’s like talking to an old friend when you arrive. If you do happen to have an issue they are onto it node and quick, doing that’s best to fix the issue so you can be comfortable. They are onsite and willing to help at all hours of the night. The room I was in was spacious and the bed was comfortable with the option to have a firm or soft pillow. I would highly recommend this place as it’s very affordable and meets the expectations of its rating. I’d definitely stay here again.

Update from last time we were here, rooms are nice and spacious. The food on the menu is great and its not just breakfast now but it a proper all day menue. Me and my husband really enjoyied our stay and we were taken care of by the staff there.

Inexpensive and rooms and staff were great. Nice pool to kick back and relax. Main thing was its close to the city.

Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced and I manage properties similiar to this one. Allow plenty of time to check in as everything is in triplicate. The owner was on site while I was staying there and barged into my room prior to check out time, threw my backpack across the room breaking my glasses. Receptionist knows absolutely everything, NOT! Never again for me. Far more hospitable places out there.

Stayed for 1 night, no toilet paper in unit, dirty sheet in bed, TV remote didn't work, bin in kitchen was full from last occupant, on the positive side airport is close (can tell from the planes taking off till late) and I only had to stay 1 night.

Beautiful and affordable accommodation only a few blocks away from the city, local restaurants and the esplanade! Really good and approachable staff, they really looked after us! Awesome discounts on local adventures and tours. Highly recommended for those stopping through Cairns or just for those who just need a little break from the “home” life!

Amazing place to stay with friendly staff who where very accommodating. Super clean and well equipped. Great location and the pool was very handy after a hot day sight seeing! Great service with booking trips. We were travelling with small children and this hotel was very child friendly. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Owner seems very cheap. Wifi is horrible. Almost everything is an additional charge. Owner didn't even stop talking to the front desk person when we walked into check in. Apparently management has changed many times because of the owner. He's just in it to make as much money as possible not provide a quality service.

I hate to give a hotel a poor review, but this place blows hard The people who think this is a nice hotel are BatS* crazy, I know the bar for hotels is overall lower in australia (that is hotels in Cairns at least appear to globally suck) and while some of the staff were very pleasant others were not and I would certainly not stay here again. My first complaint is the facilities. The first room they gave us was gross, SO much mildew smell, legit PUTRID. Even worse is that they were clearly trying to cover it. The doors and windows were open when we got to teh room. After we closed those and turned on the AC and fans, the smell was overwhelming (their excuse was it has been raining a lot recently, ITS the freakin rain forest man, that cant be your excuse) They gave us a second room, and it was only 20% of the original mildew smell, and we had already paid, so we settled. After the guy leaves, I realize there are like 6 or so used towels in various spots around the room. Gross. The busboy/doorman guy who is younger with jelled hair, questioned me at every aspect of the trip. This room doesnt smell, this umbrella was fine when we gave it to you, etc etc etc. So combative. If you enjoy being treated like crap from a bus boy, then this is your spot I guess Laundry is 8 AUD to run, touch pricey I felt The AC goes off when you leave like every other crap aussie hotel Their complimentary shuttle runs 2 times a day downtown, like 10am and 4pm.

Good location and a night stay. Plenty of parking around. Close to city and easy access.

Sheets were stained, one fan didn't work well, and I definitely saw a cockroach in the bathroom. It was fairly cheap, and they had a free morning airport shuttle — but I'm pretty sure you can do better.

Quite happy with my stay here. Building was old but clean. Was able to check in 4 hours early. Friendly helpful staff. I accidentally left some items behind in the room. All I had to do was send them a pre-paid envelope and they were pretty quick in forwarding my items on to me.

Excellent accommodation, highly recommended. This property is a fresh, clean offering in the tropics that does not look tired or dowdy. Being off the main road it ensures a quiet night's sleep.

Stayed 2 nights (24/10/17) as was so impressed. Good location/parking and tariff. Clean rooms with great kitchenettes. Decent Wi-Fi speed and wonderful pool. Best of all was the friendly owners that were always obliging to help in any way. All stars full and well earned.

Such an amazing place. My wife and I had the best time, had everything we need (and more) and the staff was outstanding.

Friendly staff who attend my needs, also helped with different tours and what’s to see up in cairns. Room service was great and their breakfast meals were delicious. Rooms were kept nice and clean. Definitely a place I would go and stay my next time up in cairns.

Calm and peaceful. We felt the service we received was excellent.

Very comfortable stay. The staff were always helpful. I especially appreciated the kitchenette, and the grocery within 10 minutes walking distance. Took advantage of the shuttles to the espanade every day. I would stay here again.

Great rooms and good price. It is situated between the airport and the city so it's good if you have a hired car. The continental breakfast includes bread, cereal and some fruits and yoghurt. Drinks includes coffee, tea and orange juice, otherwise selection from the fridge is not too pricy.

Me and my boyfriend have stayed there 3 times and haven't been disappointed once. The rooms are amazing! I still remember the first impression when I went around the apartment and kept dragging my boyfriend around to show him how awesome everything was from a supercool balcony all the way to a sailing white bathtub. The owners are more than great and totally lovable. Love it, love it, love it!

A friendly and clean place to stay. The owners Sharon & David are wonderful hosts. They can guide you on the best deals for local yours as well as dining on any level. They have their own shuttle service and its quietly located just on the edge of busy Cairns. Public transport is on the corner for the economy people and an pleasant walk to Cairns Central shopping centre. Coles Express is around the corner for convenience shopping and basics. Had a great week here!

It was very great and good for the price.

Great prices for nice rooms. They have a BBQ outside — so if you want to try eating roo, just go down to the store and bring back some roo steaks to grill up!
