No teaspoon for making tea and coffee.
No WIN TV channels.
Lost power, so picked up room telephone to speak to receptionist but the phone was dead.
No microwave.
Only one bed light worked.
Balcony covered in mould and very unclean.
Definitely won’t go back!

Too much dirty full of bad small.

Lovely friendly staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome.

Lovely experience and kind staff. Everything you need for a quick stay. Staff were kind enough to let late bookings come through so was a help when your on the road.

Great location, close to amenities and beach, well priced and warm reception. Room was clean and comfortable.

The room I stayed last night (room 209) is not very clean. I found one cocroach on the floor. Usually they give me a room at the top floor.

I was staying in room 414 for 8 nights and there were bed bugs/insects that bit me. Informed hotel all they did was to pass us a bottle of dubious looking 'mint water' to sprinkle on bed. Room was damp and musty smelling. The room service staffs merely rearranged the bed without changing the sheets on some days. Fresh towels given were damp on some days. Hotel management seem to focus on huge volumes of Chinese tourists transiting for one night. Staff were polite and professional.

Not a 5 star hotel but definitely a 5 star receptionist. Nelly has an exceptional personality that makes you feel welcome from the time you walk into the hotel. Watching this young lass handle the front desk on her own when it was so busy and still manage to smile and help out however she could just to make her guests feel comfortable on there stay was simply amazing to watch. From what my husband and I saw was she holds this hotel together without any question. Hotel is very out dated but clean. Breakfast was a good bargain but avoid evening meals.

This has been a disappointing experience starting with the online booking and payment getting lost requiring we wait in reception for over one hour while it was resolved. Finally getting the key we found there was only one lift working so we had to wait for several loads before we could enter. The corridor for our floor had a strong mouldy smell. Luckily the room was was slightly better but did require a few squirts off air freshener. Yet again I have been caught out with hotels that advertise free Wi-Fi only to find you have to be sitting in the lobby to use it. Overall a disappointing experience, I am sure there must be better value for money hotels in Cairns.

Worst hotel we've ever experienced. 1 lift broken the other teaches one to fear. No light in the bathroom, was also not repaired because there was no craftsman over the weekend. Coffee maker and cigarette vending machine out of order. Stuff from the room was stolen. Very dirty terrace in the breakfast area. Dirty cutlery. Connoisseur skinny coffee. In general, no one cares about anything here. Overall very unpleasant stay which you do not want on holiday.

Room was large enough. Had "banquet" one night, $70 for two. Food was luke warm and we ended up with food poisoning. Breakfasts were cold as well. The food warmers are not hot enough and it"s a surprise more people don't get ill. Free Wi-Fi but only in lobby which has no desks or chairs to sit on.

This place is pathetic. There was very little food and nothing fresh …

Dirty filthy place with just about everything broken. Footpaths gross rooms yuck bathroom just grotty mould in it. Toilet runs thru the night. Air con does not cool the room. Bed on a slant so very uncomfortable. Never again.

Obviously a Chinese family has taken it over and don't have a clue on how to run a hotel… read the reviews… I didnt… silly me!. The receptionist was rude and abrasive and in helpful. The room smells of cigarettes meanwhile the whole hotel is meant to be non smoking. The front doors are broken and now you have to manually open them. The bed is hard as hell and the bath tub had mark's all over it and the toilet bowl is yellow. I think just sell it or stop robbing people of their money as the hotel is not worth the price and the staff were shocking!

In the lobby of the hotel, there is a Hongcheng tour grandcity travel, you can arrange some local one-day tour. I stayed at this hotel for three nights, from December 3, 2017 to May, and the price is a single room with a large terrace with sea views for Hong Kong dollar $890 breakfast per night! It was arranged to stay in room No. 809. The Price is OK! Only the room is a bit old, the strict degree of holding the room is not the top good, because I found that the bathtub still has a hair presence! But the overall cleanliness is still good!
Just the hotel is really a bit out of place, still have to use the door lock key card slot to get the power supply, rather than computer key card!
Hotel room has a free Wifi, 㷛 kettle, shampoo, conditioner, air barrel, coffee, tea bags are available, but no toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers and so on …
And the deadliest point of the hotel is far away from the city center for more than half an hour, so super invincible is not convenient … But fortunately and comforting is that some of the hotel staff are super good and worthy of praise, such as: Jaryd Porteous, he is careful, courteous, everything from the guest's point of view.

Our 5 year old slipped in their car park and grazed her knee, and reception refused to give us a bandaid saying there first aid kit does not have bandaids in it. BS! This place is run down. Automatic doors that you have to slide open your self because they havent bothered to fix them, dirty windows, no wireless internet in the rooms, tennis courts out of service and over grown, an eye-sore to look at. Chinese signs up all over the place with not many English signs. Some staff are rude and make you feel like your just a burden. It’s a very cold and stagnant hotel. We went next door to the holiday inn for dinner. That’s a much much better hotel. We made a bad choice staying here. It’s a great place to holiday if you want to be treated like a trashy second rate citizen.

Great location for the price overlooking the water. But the Wi-Fi connectivity was non existent and the property is very old.

Rooms were all that was needed for a few days. Right across from the water. Staff were very friendly and polite.

Stayed one night very comfortable good views and clean good food was handy to shop's at a resonalbe price.

Well the rooms are dated the service is very good. The $10 breakfast is quite amazing and well worth it's value. The showers are hot and a hot shower is very good. We found the room to be very clean and very good value for money.

Had a great value breakfast. Very tasty. They need bigger mugs for tea and coffee though.

No parking when I checked in. Undercover parking in blocked off for some unknown reason. Norell the Desk check in Clerk was very welcoming and extremely friendly which made a huge difference in my stay. She would have to be one of best hotel receptionist I've ever come across. Very impressed. Room had a beautiful view of the ocean. Location close enough to walk to my destinations so that was a bonus. Some other staff members weren't very helpful when I wanted some soap for my room. But all in all it was a pleasant stay. I will definitely be coming back.

Rubbish bins outside were overflowing. Out of order signs on alot of amenties and equipment. Plastic cups for breakfast one morning. Food was average to say the least. Staff not very friendly couldnt get more than two words from them. I wasnt expecting much but this was hands down the worst place ive stayed. I suggest the owners spend some much needed money to bring it up to passable standards.

It's truly cheap. However, furnitures and equipments in my room are quite old-fashioned. Thus, the price is fair enough. Besides, Wi-Fi is only available at ground floor! OMG! Am I in Australia? I cannot believe it. I'm in the city of Cains, not in a rainforest. Furthermore, Wi-Fi requires password to connect every 15 mins.

Not a modern place. Family rooms will have (rather poor) fold-out beds for the kids, and bug-infestation.

The hotel is a little dated but it is functional. The pool is a bit small. The breakfast is rather limited in choice if you don't eat pork
Some members of the staff are very nice and competent, others much less. The coverage of the Wi-Fi is random according to the rooms and the setup of the TV is sometimes different between the rooms.

Nice place to stay bit far from the city though.

This place has a decent buffet dinner. Staff can be a bit iffy but good food and decent atmosphere. Worth a try at least once.

Cold showers. Dirty place. They wanted to photocopy my drivers license. Like hell they will why not my birth certificate. Speak English?

Had to move rooms 3 times… no aircon working in 3 rooms. No one came to clean room. Add said free breakfast __ no breakfast… Wi-Fi didnt work. For a non smoking hotel I found a dirty cigarette butt in my bathroom sink… totally disgusting. Never again.!

Not bad… the structure is dated but well kept… clean rooms… negative note. A morning found ants near dishes buffet.

Rooms are neat and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. If I had to raise an issue, it will be the lack of a microwave in the room. Otherwise all good. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were clean. Could not smoke on verandah even tho other hotels you can. Could not sleep as people were calling my room from another room at 3am drunk looking for thier friends. Breakfast was average.

Our room was great, the view looking south out to Trinity Inlet was great. Room was clean, everything worked, only complaint would have been the bed was very firm, but great overall. Have stayed before and will stay again. Price was right too.

My stay with Comfort Hotel Acacia Court was disappointing, to say the least, for a number of reasons as follows: • The aircon was so loud it was difficult to hear when speaking on the phone while in the room. It also had, on the outside, a very large very active birds nest on it • The ‘free Wi-Fi’ was a joke, it was so so SO slow it was almost impossible to use. When requesting the details required to log on over the phone I was told I had to go to the desk – no offer to provide over the phone or to have it brought up to the room • When I made the booking I specifically asked if there was parking with the room and was advised yes. When I arrive one afternoon there were no available parks. I spoke with reception and was told it was only ‘limited’ car parking. When I asked if I could speak with someone I was advised there was nothing I could do and I wasn’t being charged for it anyway • The man on reception on the Friday and Saturday night needed immediate training in customer service 101. He was short and disinterested during all interactions. Most of the time I just felt like I was disturbing his valuable time and he couldn't care less • One evening I ordered room service. I was not advised to leave the tray outside so when I came back the following afternoon it was still in the room (housekeeping had not removed it either). I called reception who advised to leave the tray outside the door so I did this immediately.

This was my 3rd stay and as always l couldnt complain, the rooms are a good size clea n and compfy, the ensuites large with a bath, house keeping staff also lovely, room service excellent, not to far to walk to the city centre, would of been better if you were aloud to light up on your private balcony though, not over priced accomadation like some, a good place to stay.
