Great friendly staff but don't do it unless you absolutely have to. I had a hallway full of noisy guests opening and slamming doors, swearing and yelling and woke to absolutely no hot water in my room. To their credit, there was a common shower/toilet with hot water that got me going, and I got going as soon as I could. At the end of the day I should have gone to Amelia Hotel a little further around the corner. I'm there tonight and for the rest of the week… Much better!

I guess with budget accom you get what you pay for, but we've paid the same for much better. To be fair, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean. But the walls were paper thin, a LOT of noise. We were expecting backpackers, but it was actually a lot of teenagers and families with kids — kids running around upstairs were so loud, kept us awake late into the night. Actually a bunch of weird noises all night (pipes? ). Pretty awful sleep >.

Love this place. It is budget but clean and an old Manor which gives it a little bit elegance.

Heaps of Cockroaches, no free parking as there is many rooms and 5 parks, small rooms, appalling customer service. Rude, ignorant and appears the cleaners neglect doing a full clean. Mould in bathrooms, noisy airconditioning, office opens at 9 though the sign says 8, I had to bother other people to move cars to get to hospital appt on time, staff were disinterested in helping, will be calling dept of health, disgusting, rude arrogant owners do not deserve your dollars.

Worse hotel ever. My room was playground for cockroachs, I cant sleep because of beeping alarm sound from outside I woke up five times.

I stayed two nights in this facility for a conference nearby, in an ensuite bathroom room. Entry was smooth after ringing an after hours service line, and being given the passcode for the safe containing your keys. My room was situated next to the shared bathrooms and so anyone using the bathroom during the night woke me up. My room smelt strongly of stale cigarettes with many types of Australian bug fauna crawling over the doors, windowsill and over the bed. I'm surprised that there weren't bed bugs present. There is no airflow other than an ancient airconditioner, which needs to be turned on all night due to the suffocating cigarette smell that permeated the bed, pillows and eventually my clothes and belongings. Saturday nights are the worst where families and groups of young adults would shout outside the doors. I cant say anything positive, the kitchen was bare, the microwaves were constantly in use. All in all, I am seriously doubting that $70/night was worth it in a so called 3 star hotel, when a motel would've far exceeded these standards.

A Lovely Manor, Backpackers Hostel… Clean, neat and tidy rooms with your own ensuite bathroom. Settled in nightlife Fortitude Valley, a few blocks from Southbank, Brisbane where Restaurants, Museum and Theatres.

Air con was lousy, took about 5 hours for the room to become cool and it was only a small twin room. Location was decent, outdoor area was chill. Hotel parking was inconvenient as very squishy.

Ok accommodation. Old building but nice comforts added. Limited parking. But great for the price and location.

Peaceful environment! Nice sitting areas and access to a commercial fitted kitchen. Not far from Fortitude Valley Station. Rooms are bland but acceptable for the price.

Nice place, friendly staffs, old and comfortable, its Good to see old historical pictures on the wall. Honesty people need to clean after themselves. I would like to know more about the history of this place. Great Management thanks.

Do not go here! this is the worst accommodation i've ever stayed. Staff were very rude The room was a disaster bugs and cockroaches walking all over the walls and bathroom. I had to check out after 3 hours I couldn't sleep I was itching all the time.

Super Hotel for the Price but is a bit further from the center ennt 20 minutes.

This is a more than 100-year wooden building, the boss personally for the building paint repair work, so that the whole estate into the feeling of warmth and association, praise.

I would not stay here. I stayed in room 35, the staff that we talked to was fairly nice to begin with. The first thing I saw as I walked in the room, was a cockroach running across the bed, and then 1min later a smaller one runs across. I was very annoyed, we went to let the staff know, all they gave was a can of fly spray and said "Unfortunatly, this is all we can do at the moment" with quite an annoyed expression. During our stay we came across 5-10 more cockroaches in that room. On the bed, sink, shower, fridge. I wanted to get a refund for the room because that was absolutely disgusting. When I talked to the owner, he said we planted them! I really don't have time of day to do that type of thing. I did not get a refund. And considering there has been other reports of cockroches in rooms nearby, I would have taken this into consideration. But it's fine, these are German Cockroaches, and they create an infestation… Also, decor needs a good update. Looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s. I've been to hotel buildings older than this one and they've had a moden makeover. If I could rate less than one 1 star, I would have.

Great place to stay for business. Value for money with rooms. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly.

Close to Brisbane show ground, good value for money accommodation and was wheel chair friendly. Staff were very helpful and I will stay there again. Does not have a bar, has a kitchen for guests and common room. Older style building with character.

Its relatively clean and tidy but its not a 5 star hotel.

Not bad for the price. My booking included some stranger knocking on my door at 3am. Why would you do that? Peep hole would be handy.

Old run down! The room wasnt clean and the fridge didnt even keep a bottle of coke cold. Bathroom/toilet was tiny. Communal Kitchen — not 1 fork in it and everything was filthy. Definitely was not worth the the cost/quality as I have stayed in heaps better quality places for much less cost.

Dinner was awesome, pasta deluxe. With sauce. 5 stars.

Fantastic place to stay. I chose this place based particularly on the response to the bogus one star review. Beautiful response by staff member to a clearly untrue review. My time spent here at the manor was PERFECT. Thank you.

I have been here for two days now and will be here another five days. So far I have enjoyed the stay immensely. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and all the other guests I have run in to have been great as well. The Hotel has a nice family feel about it. Everything is comfortable and functional and I am certainly finding it to be great value. The Hotel is in an an excellent spot in terms of access to the Valley and the City. Unless something spectacularly strange happens over the next five days I can only see myself continuing to be happy that I chose to stay here.

I go to Brisbane City Doctors in the basement of Manor apartment hotel. It's a well run practice with great service and practitioners.

Very friendly staff. Value for money. I stayed on a Monday evening and for 65 it's was really good. Had my own bathroom, a big room with a verandah.

Location was close enough to venues. Parking hassles as the hotel has far too many rooms in comparison to parking spaces. The service staff were nice enough but the room had not been set up by the time we got there at 2pm which was a little ridiculous as their check out time is 10 am.

Decent room, good rate, but had trouble finding our booking when we booked online.

The hotel had checked somebody into our room so when we arrived they said they couldn't find our reservation. Being stuck outside calling from a intercom system and getting disconnected at least 3 times we finally, after an hour of waiting and calling back time and time again, got the issue resolved (our room checked in under the wrong name) and got our nights rest. Not too impressed.

The room smells of stale cigarette smoke. The underneath of the bedspread is falling apart. No headboard or bedside table. The room is shabby.

Cheap and accessible. Close to train station and bus stop. Great for backpackers or those who want a cheap but secure place to stay in Brisbane.

Limited parking spaces, but secure and free. Excellent Wi-Fi and free with no cut off quota! How awesome is that? Thin walls, can hear people in rooms. Great industrial like kitchen, clean and tidy. For the price of $80, i'm not too pleased.

Cheap, good location, good Wi-Fi.

Much difficulty checking in after hours, waited outside for a long time while caretaker smoked on the deck and watched us talk to people on the intercom trying to get our booking right. He seemed friendly once we got inside. "Free" Wifi did not work, however we could access Wi-Fi next door. Very loud, dirty, bedding from the 1950's. No parking space. I don't recommend it.

When I first arrived, I really enjoyed the look and atmosphere of the Manor. It was old, but stylish. We walked into reception and were served without any issues, and were straight to our room. Once our bags were down, we almost immediately spotted small cockroaches. A LOT, of baby roaches. I brushed them off the counter above the fridge and though that was the last of them. Nope, there were more in the bathroom. We go out, come back and even more are around, crawling on our things, around the fridge and in the bathroom. And to make matters worse, there were also bed bugs. Asides the insect infestation, everyone else was okay. Standard double bed, fridge, toilet and shower (although the hot water barely worked and would constantly switch between freezing cold and boiling hot. ) Unless the bug problem gets sorted, I doubt Ill be staying again I'm afraid.

Cheap, noise is a minor issue but otherwise great value for what it is, friendly helpful staff. Free Wi-Fi and a variety of rooms. some of the shared kitchen utensils may need updating. suit anyone on a budget. i give it 4 out of 5 as a budget hotel, nothing more than expected, except the history around this old building. nor anything less than expected.

For a young single bloke in town for a week, I found this place awesome for the budget and it fulfilled my basic needs. The facilities available for guests were appropriate for the cost and not in excess to what I was after. The staff were all fairly friendly and made me feel welcome. Although great for my needs on this trip, I would probably not stay here in any other reason if my travelling arrangements are different (ie. With a girlfriend or family or business).
