Booked a deluxe view room and got 803. Was a really good view of city and Spring Hill. Bathroom clean and nice with extra towel rails and hooks which is a good change for a hotel bathroom. Rain shower head really good and hand held massage head good as well. Comfy and clean room with awesome bar fridges with glass doors so you won’t forget anything when you leave. Rooms are super quiet and couldn’t hear any noises from other rooms or hall.
Will definitely stay here again.

The reception staff were amazing, so amazing I extended my stay 4 times! I’ll be sad to leave!

Clean room and balconies for fresh air. That is where my positive Covid experience ends with Pacific Hotel. I was discharged last Tuesday, however, the memory of the shocking food served lingers! All meals were of extremely low quality, however, the dinners in particular, were inedible. All of my dinners were replaced with expensive Uber Eats. Yes, I’m Coeliac but I have never been served sub-standard food before. One lunch I was served a tasteless slice of frittata and was served the same frittata the next day for breakfast. The “fish” looked and smelt disgusting and when queried what type of fish it was, all Reception could tell me was that it was “baked”. Quarantine is difficult enough without being served up slops which is inhuman and humiliating. A total overhaul is needed urgently or removal from the Quarantine Hotel list. Remember Pacific Hotel, one day we will be “normal” travellers and we will remember who took advantage of us in a very vulnerable situation!

As a business owner I clearly understand how to conserve wages on a public holiday. When most staff would really appreciate to work triple the pay, this 4.5 star hotel decided to send them home. What’s disappointing is that there’s no one to refill the ammenities including the free bottled water and tea and coffee. We can fore go the linen service for the day but not the ammenities including toiletries especially when the convenience store is down the hill. Why the hell did we book a 4.5 star hotel if we had to buy our own shampoo and toilet paper. We have also asked to have our in room safe to be opened twice yesterday as it was locked by the previous guest, however one day later the front desk manager said that there’s no maintenance service on public holidays. I wasn’t aware that December 31 was a public holiday! There were many hotels to choose from but we listened to the reviews online. It must be just our unlucky day. We still have 2 nights in this hotel, hopefully the experience may improve. UPDATE! Unfortunately I cannot change the recommendation button anymore, so instead I’ll give my positive review. Thanks to the power of social media and email my complaint was addressed promptly.

Room was very good and air conditioning was great. Nice large comfortable bed. Great shower. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. Staff were helpful and very curtious. Lunch was a fantastic meal. We had fish and chips which was very tasty. Parking was cheaper than Sydney where you paid $35 a day. All in all fantastic stay would definitely recommend. Close to shops with a 10 minute walk.

Everything perfect. Weather food hotel room service and unbelieable buffet breakfast with a bottle of Moët on top. Excellent stay would def come back.

I had to pay $15 a day for four days of parking yet they claim free onsite parking on their website. They took $100 out of my bank account as a security deposit and despite many phone calls and emails they are not refunding. Not happy at all and very unprofessional.

Good customer service from reception on arrival.
On departure was charge $60 for early arrival in which was incorrect so in the end it was void. That's the only downfall to this hotel other than that it was great.

Rooms were of a high standard. Staff were friendly & helpful. Handy to the city. Roma St Parklands just over the road. Buffet breakfast was delicious, & the restaurant meals were divine. Secure parking was a little tricky to maneuver in such a small space but we eventually got there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I recommend this hotel highly. Lovely large clean room and modern bathroom, delicious buffet breakfast and very good price. Easy walk to CBD and Southbank.

Amazing rooms, and couldn't be more happier with the service guru provided, and drink prices at bar were normal not like other hotels with over priced drinks.

Our family stayed here last night while we went to Taylor swift concert, it is central in Brisbane to roma st station, very friendly staff who are happy to help, buffet breakfast was nice rooms are worth the price unfortunately the pool was closed for renovations which was abit disappointing as it was very hot and with 2 girls they would have loved to go swimming but apart from that I would recommend and go back.

Place has been run down from a great little boutique hotel from a few years ago. Rumours of new management soon provide some hope. Bar and food still good. Room TV's 20 years old with 3rd world reception quality — 3 Room changes all the same.

The staff here are the one's that makes the stay. They are extreamly helpful, friendly and kind. They know how to make you smile and laugh. The bar and restaurant gives a nice atmosphere to relax, unwind and catch up with friends. Food is nice, I had the fish whiting with green vegetables and dukkah. The rooms here are outdated and crying out for some TLC. -Room smelt like moth balls -Air-conditioning is loud -furniture old and light shades stained The hotel is close to the city shopping district. Only a few minutes walk down the hill.

The receptionist wasn't really good. She gave me a room that was a guest staying in already. It's really embarrassing when I opened the door. When I returned to the reception she didn't apologize and ask me for my credit card to charge the fee which I have already paid once when I checked in. And finally I got a room that didn't match what I booked, I have booked a room with king bed, but what I got is a room with 2 double bed.

Staying here with my 85 year old brother and his wife, both in failing health and unintentionally demanding, a cushion here, an extra towel there, something for a very late lunch that wasn't on the menu … And NOTHING is too much trouble for the staff. This level of true customer service is so much appreciated by the younger members of the family also staying here. The hotel itself is well situated, quiet but close to public transport and amenities, the rooms are comfortable, well designed and well equipped. Congratulations to management and staff.

Hotel Urban has great staff, beds are comfortable and rooms are decently large. Always enjoy staying at this hotel. Only thing would change is probably the room service menu needing a refresh.

Rooms were pretty good. However refused to let some of our group store some luggage while we waited for our late flights. After seeing the amount of storage space left we realised he was just being a prick. Customer service should be a higher priority.

Welcome, very nice. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We also dined at the restaurant of the hotel and have been very well received and well eaten.

We have stayed twice at this amazing value for money hotel. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are great. They even include bathrobes and slippers, something the Marriott do not. And it is close to the Roma Street Parkland. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Brisbane.

3-4 years ago when I was visiting Brisbane I thought it looked like a nice place to stop and have a coffee. So I did, Almost every morning, until the staff started to display jealousy fueled tendencies like when you go to the zoo and the animals feel threatened. I wasn't working, and didn't need a job at the time. Since then, I have only been in there to use the ladies toilet. And once where I joined a local family for a glass of wine. I wouldn't bring overseas or interstate friends here. The staff have attitudes. The decor of the hall way entrance near the toilets where the rooms are reminds me of what you might see if you stroll past a Korean Love hotel or Brothel. They seem to think they are quite generous with their Hummingbird House charity fund raiser. But the $10, 000 won't house one person for a year, that's without food or clothing in this neighbourhood.

Horrible experience. I checked in today. There are hiddin costs in addition to the room fee. The hotel front desk asked for extra 15 dollars for parking! I have travelled all throughout Australia and this is the only hotel where in-house guest parking is charged extra. I asked for one of the front rooms while checking in. The front desk person asked for extra 50 dollars for that. I rejected the offer only to find that the original room allotted to me was a front room. They were trying to reap out every extra dollar from me! the hotel is a cheater. I must say.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed here the night for convenience, but would this hotel to friends and family for sure. The balcony view was good and the rooms quiet, even right next to the lifts.

Nice place, having the breakfast included was good and the quality was nice. But the bar was expensive! Mostly the staff were nice, but there was some exceptions around the food area! I would return of it was in a convenient location for work again.

Staff are friendly, but it was nothing like I expected it to be as the pictures online portrays. The lobby area is stunning, but as soon as the elevator opens to go to your rooms, the hallways leading up to your room is dirty. Our rooms looked decent, but it was very humid and our blankets felt damp. The parking is also another situation. It felt like a maze with so many cement posts we were afraid of hitting. I was very disappointed.

Great staff, very comfortable bed. Complementary wine, nice breakfast and a very good dinner on the terrace. Pool ok and super convenient location. Free city loop bus outside the front door every ten minutes. Couldn't ask for more.

Hotel Urban is hands down one of my absoloutley favourite places to stay when visiting Brisbane! The minute you walk in the door your greeted with fantastic service that has, every time, make you feel like the one and only person they’re going to care about. I’ve had a couple of problems with the rooms like a blocked drain that caused the bathroom to flood and a toilet that wouldn’t flush but one quick phone call to reception and I’m off to another room in minutes! One time I had both reception AND the maintenance guy come and check out the new room before settling me in to make sure it was fully functioning! Other hotels you’d hardly get a phone call! The food is great, might sometimes over compensate for the size of the meat by overdoing it on the salad or the chips but hey, you’re getting fed and waited on, if there isn’t enough, get dessert! Can’t sit for my next stay!

I like this hotel, but it is flawed. The first impression you get when you enter the lobby with the vibrant colour scheme, lively music and beautiful natural light is welcomed and makes one smile, but you enter the hallway to get to your room then enter your room and the funky uniqueness they pride themselves on is long forgotten. The popcorn ceilings indicate the hotel is older than it portrays and the drab, beige furnishings in the room are lacklustre. The bed is comfortable and the shower adequate, but the missing link from the lobby to the rooms is a let down. The staff are always friendly, which is great, but a little more attention to detail in the rooms wouldn't hurt.

Great hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with our air-conditioning and they organised a room change at 1030 at night no problem. They use WGAC toilet paper and gorgeous Australian owned and formulated toiletries with no nasty ingredients! Bedding was soft and very comfortable. We had room service breakfast — Eggs Benny, and it was delicious! Would definitely stay again.

The bar is nice, the staff were friendly but not very focused. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come up to us and ask if we wanted anything… It was dead quiet a total of 3 people… They just didn't care.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are a little bit small and old, but tastefully refurbished. The little balcony is nice, but only just big enough for two. Spectacular views over Brisbane, the river and the surrounding Hills. Felt more like a 3 star hotel, but the views are probably worth the extra star.

Had a very good week of experience here. The Wifi is having frequent disconnection, but personally I do not mind a lot. Price is reasonable for a place near the city.

I attended a wedding reception at Hotel Urban and have very mixed feelings regarding their Panorama Room and their functions team. The view of the city from this room is simply spectacular. However this is undermined somewhat by windows that do not appear to have been cleaned inside or out in a very long time. This was particularly obvious at sunset when the layer of surface film on the bottom 30cm of the windows was highlighted by the angle of the sun. This was far from the only maintenance issue as the hallways were in desperate need of repainting given the excessive level of impact chipping and dents. The air blade hand dryer in the bathroom was also out of action. However it was the area of customer service that was most disappointing. The room was booked with a cocktail setting under the expectation plates of finger food would be continuously distributed to the 80 people there, half an hour after the open bar began. As it stands the food was 45 minutes late and was barely enough for 30 people. Guests actually walked out to get McDonald's. Requests to the staff to address this were greeted with platitudes but mostly inaction. Management had the cheek to complain to the host about the speed drinks were being consumed when serving food to counter this was what wss actually paid for. Not to mention it is also a breach of the hotel's responsible service of alcohol conditions in their licence. The number one rule of catering a wedding reception is look after the bride.

Hi, I stayed here in this building when it was the good earth and the service was great then way back in early 2000's and even though the name has changed the service is excellent. Friendly helpful staff, good prices, room clean, food in restaurant is awesome. Generally I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Worst car park ever! Very tiny, so many columns and basically no direction for guests! I got lost and had to reverse my car between those columns and the car got scratched…

Hotel Urban is positioned just out of the traffic madness of the city centre at Spring Hill, however positioned close enough to meander into the city in less than 5 minutes walk. The Hotel is a funky renovated 70's building with enough class to ensure your stay is enjoyable, there is a pool and gym for the sporty types but also a very cool little bar for relaxing the afternoon away over a Mojito. The rooms are well fitted out with comfortable beds and crisp white sheets, the soaps and shampoos are of a high quality and tell a story themselves. If you are heading into Brisbane City do yourself a favour and give Hotel Urban a try, you should also opt into their text message marketing for red hot deals every now and then.

Comfy beds. Often have good deals going for accom. Have stayed here several times over the years when attending work functions in city, or weekend getaway.

Great location for city. Lovely, helpful staff. Very chilled bar/dining/reception. Good food and great coffee. A real winner. We'll definitely be back.
