I have stayed here twice now, the first experience a few years ago was amazing but the second experience recently was terrible. I had booked a 3 bedroom Riverview apartment for a hens party. I had made this booking 4 months in advance. I phoned the hotel a few weeks out to make sure all was confirmed and parking was arranged. The day before we checked in I received an email, not a phone call, AN EMAIL! ; “At the outset, I do apologise for the non-availability of the 3 bedroom apartment for your booking tomorrow. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the apartment allocated to your booking is not available for letting. As we are fully booked during this time, we have arranged for your booking to be split into 2 x 2 bedroom river view apartments on the same level. There is no additional charge. As requested, I will arrange 3 car parking spaces at a nightly charge of $25.00 per car. Jennifer, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries. ” I immediately phoned the hotel to clarify the email as we required a 3 bedroom apartment for the function space for guests. The manager could do nothing about our room and we had to stay in two apartments. The manager was accomodating in supplying some extra furniture and chairs and waived the parking fees however I was extremely disappointed as the room was by far not what we had paid for AND I had to pay 2 x security bonds for 2 rooms when I only wanted the one I had originally booked. The staff were not very friendly upon check in or check out and I will not be returning any time soon or recommending this hotel to anyone. We had a function planned for over six months to have it all ruined the day before by an email. It was very unprofessional.
