Disgusted! Will never stay again!
I'm currently staying at the ibis and am disgusted! No parking (2 blocks away) and was told I could park near their reception all night (by the check in attendant) due to current circumstances with my daughter! The attendant asked for my keys, filled out a card and said that it would be safe overnight! They would call me if they needed to move it momentarily! I get a phonecall from the next shift attendant telling me to remove my c…ar and that no one told me I could park there for the night! Implied I was lying and told me it was illegal! I was absolutely dumbfounded! It's pouring with rain, we were on our way out for my daughters bday celebrations! The attendant was completely rude (to which I told her to contact the attendant from my check in)! She was so condescending! I'm a psychologist, yet my tolerance at this time was very challenged! Completely ruined my daughters bday weekend! We nearly lost her a few months ago — and there was no understanding by the second attendant whatsoever! I listening and just plain accusations of deceit! We have stayed in many hotels across the world as well as locally as would never recommend the ibis again! We were looking forward to the weekend at the ibis and my daughter had a panic attack as a result of the poor treatment! Plus! Booked and paid for 4 people — the room had 2 towels, 1 shampoo bottle, 2 mugs, 2 cups! In a room with two Queen beds! Called reception, was told I had to come down to reception to collect more items! Seriously, wish I was back at home with the rest of my family, what's meant to be a birthday break — has turned into the holiday from hell! Don't waste your time! I wish I had of read the Facebook reviews prior to booking!
