Love our local pub. Great place for a family dinner.

Just met a bunch of touchies there. Great times, good drinks. We'll be back next year.

Great place and the Manager handled the pub in a professional manner.

Often come here for a delicious pub feed. Rate the chicken schnitzel 10/10 every time. Staff are always lovely and this place has a great vibe.

It's the place to be if you ain't got nothing to see. The food is nice and beer is cold, definitely a great place for the old. Nonetheless, the palace is a local, just like a schooner or pint, you might even get lucky on the pokies alright.

Great pub that has had a bit of money spent on it recently. Good vibes and the sport is always on front and centre. Reasonable drink prices and the food was up to par. Only gripe was the live music, great selection of songs but music was too loud to have any conversations. It's a pub not a rock concert. Will be back.

I love this pub, it is a great spot to watch the football and have a quiet beer with the gang. Lovely old French provincial stylings excellent selection of standard Aussie beers and fun craft selection too! Winning spot.

Good range of tasty simple and gourmet menu items priced accordingly. Comfortable deck dining. Fine hotel bar, even if they had trouble finding the brandy. Waitresses are cute.

My favourite local pub. Really interesting tap beer selection that rotates monthly. Dog friendly beer garden gets you a few quick pints whilst walking the pet. Food is also good across many options. This is neither ritzy or glitzy, a welcome change to the normal " look at me" offerings in Port Melbourne. Foxtel, pool tables and outdoor areas… true pub.

Went there Friday evening with friends for dinner. We waited over 1hr for our meals. I had the beef pie and was not impressed. It was too small, the pastry soft and the pie contents too sweet. However, the chips were ok and I was actually surprised that the side of salad was actually fresh. My friends meals were average too. I would not recommend the palace to anyone looking to have a nice meal.

This my local as I only live 500 metres away, so I love it. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, on Fridays they put on a free sausage sizzle, which is pretty good (although I don't partake, I know it's a win among the patrons) The acoustics are really bad in there. You can hear the conversations from tables four over but not the person sitting next to you. I always opt to sit outside because of this reason.

Disappointed with service and food at the restaurant. The staff need a lot more training on customer service. Waitress's were very uncertain and unfriendly about orders and the dessert menu is very limited 2 options. We decided to try the 2 options only to find that they didn't have ice cream That was included in the dessert. Rather then offering alternative or compensation for the dessert we got nothing, but to leave with a bad taste to this restaurant. I am hoping they can take this review as constructive criticism to work on customer service and the quality in desserts…

A nice old school pub, friendly service and great food from the restaurant. There's quite a good range of food and regular specials. There's indoor dining as well as a large outdoor deck which overlooks the beer garden and a great sports bar at the front. Can get quite busy during the big sports and popular times. If you're driving in parking can sometimes be a bit difficult and a short stroll may be required.

Food is reasonably good. Beer lineup is solidly Lion. Could do with some better beer options.

This pub has a stale atmosphere, its more of a punters den rather than a pub. The staff love to talk amongst themselves when there are people at the bar and don't really put the customer first. You can expect great food though, that's probably the only plus about this place.

I went with 4 other family members for dinner and a few drinks. Carpark was full and it was 7pm on a Thursday night, so probably go earlier if you want a spot. The pub itself was nothing special, and neither was the food, but it had a lot of different beers on tap. We had a good night, and there was nothing really to complain about, but there wasn't anything to rave about either.

Friendly staff, good priced drinks and big meals.

Always head there for steaks on a Monday night. $15 you can't go wrong for a great dinner. Make sure you book a table as it is very busy.

Very happy with our stay here. Affordable, clean and great food. Rooms have shared kitchen and bathroom. Supermarket across the road. Lots of cafes and easy transport options.

The food is perfect, I had salmon on the grill, cooked just as I liked it. It's fresh and efficient in service. Nice indoors and outdoors, a touch of the old world charm makes you relax immediately. Parking area out back is helpful to!

The food is delicious. My favourite is the pork neck with fig and apple atm. Good venue for big games on the TV. Comfortable atmosphere with a beer garden. Great friendly service.

Fantastic pub. Nice decor and clean inside with really really great food. They have large screens for sport viewing, a bistro inside for private sit down dining, you can eat in the bar too though, as well as a a more relaxed outdoor garden terrace. Brilliant.

The location is good for parking because it is all free parking on the street. The restaurant is very good in terms of food although can be a bit pricey. The people working at the palace are very nice and friendly which is the reason as to why my mates and I always return.

Younger staff was friendly, helpful and wonderful to deal with. Though the older staff and management were a pain. Even rude a times when trying to check out or book more days. I have traveled most of the world and have been in better kept hostels in Albania. The showers and washrooms are shared and from what looks like the 1920s (that's a complement), they also were out of commission most of our stay. Most of the washroom locks are broken and are in general disrepair. The only reason why we stayed at this place as long as we did was because of how close it was to our family in the area and the price (around 80 a night). Though if I were to come back to Sydney I would certainly stay somewhere else. One good thing I can say is there were no spiders!

Love the menu in dining room, chicken schnitzel is my favorite.

Awesome local pub in a suburban area, good for groups and young families as really pram friendly and accommodating for feeding mothers. Had my husband's birthday lunch here, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Also have great Monday night specials!
