I believe the price may have to do with location because I would never pay that much for a place like this. I only did because I was working in the are and I wanted somewhere near my clients. The room was small and hot. The bed was a bit too soft for me. Shared bathroom was fine but the shower wasn't great. I thought it was going to be noisier being in a busy road but it was fine. It is basically a big old house turned into a backpack. I would only stay here again if I had to. It is not bad but for the money you pay, it is not great.

Cheap price, correct rooms, but incredble location, if you want to go to the center of Sydney using a ferry that drops you at the Opera.

Great value guesthouse especially for the northern Sydney area. Some on-site parking and clean tidy rooms with a few squeaky floor boards as it is a grand older house. Some free on-site parking 6 spaces which are available on a first come basis. The parking is the reason for not giving 5 stars as they didnt make it clear on the website that parking isn't guaranteed.

I came for one week with my son in October. I was so happy to stay in this accomodation. I traveled a lot in my life and I Ve been in many lodges and hotels. This one is so far the best place I ever been.! It is really clean, and having our room next to the kitchen, I was a bit worried about cockroaches. But we Didn't see any at all. The young woman doing the cleaning put so much effort to make all the rooms super clean and tidy. And she was always smiling and so nice. We had the first day a light globe broken, so I went to the office where a young man straight away gave us a new one! All the staff is fantastic, very welcoming, and they always have a smile to give. The Internet is good. The kitchen has everything you need. We loved this place and we will definitely come back! Sylvie.

They really need to change their carpets and bed sheets. They were dirty and had a strong stink. On a good side I like the location of hotel. Easy to catch a ferry or bus.

Excellent value for money accomodation that has a fantastic location. It's an older style property with shared bathroom facilities but it's very clean and I found the staff very helpful.

The room was basic but pleasant and had everything we needed. The location of the room was fantastic with a small verandah straight into the front courtyard.

Stayed a couple of nights here. Good sized room with a fridge. Clean and pleasant place to stay. Bathroom is small but modern and clean. There is also a laundry and we'll kitted out kitchen for cooking in. Right beside the Neutral Bay Wharf to catch the ferry into town.

Friendly staff, cozy rooms, great location close to ferry.

Nice old place could have bigger rooms and the stairs are a Killer.

Two stops on the ferry from Circular Quay. Stay is good for its price. Easy access to the city and Luna Park. Rooms are clean. (Shared bathrooms)

Perfect location to park your car and take the ferry to the city. Clean but rustic accomodation and very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great stay. Will use again. Thanks Monique, it was a pleasure. Ed & Lisa.

Feels like a home, so comfortable to stay!

Booked via Agoda without knowing anything about it. Became clear very quickly that staff were friendly and helpful. If you are the sociable type then the communal kitchen is an easy way to make new friends… :-)

It didn't mention on the booking website and it's a shared bathroom.

The soap for shower was used and put back in the packet again. The room was smelly and humid. Very disappointing.

Bad experience with this place. Made booking for 1 week — my credit card was debited immediately for the full amount. I then had to cancel — they would NOT give me a refund, although they had more than a week to rent out the room. Stay away from this place.

Small rooms. Nice and clean. Soft bed. Perfect spot for wall to ferry port and transport in a beutiful location.

We had a family group stay at the Lodge last weekend. We found it simple, clean, comfortable, with friendly efficient service all for a great price. It is close to the Neutral Bay Ferry and easy walk to shops. Highly recommended.
