Enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Astral Residences at The Star. Booked a three bedroom suite on level 15 and the view is just incredible. Room was extremely, tidy and clean on arrival with a nice welcome note and some complimentary macarons, still and sparking water. Check-in and check-out were a breeze with staff so easy to deal with and a delight to talk to. At one point, requested some fresh towels urgently and these were delivered immediately. A fantastic experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting spacious, tidy, well located accommodation in Sydney.

The staff, from the second I checked in to housekeeping are the best I've ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms impeccable. Just remodeled. Beds very comfortable with pillows better than home. Couldn't fault it. Can't wait to go back. All this with a view of the best harbour in the world. I recommend executive club too. Worth the money. Made our stay memorable.

Would I stay again? ABSOLUTELY! What a treat, travelled to Sydney for a business conference for 2 nights staying at the Astral Residence. Walking distance to the ICC and excellent accommodation (5 star without a doubt). To be honest the views were simply a bonus. I was hesitant traveling to Sydney after past experiences, however, my faith has been restored. Sydney you are beautiful, can’t wait to return.

Really great hotel. Especially that I got upgraded to an amazing suite. The pool area in beyond this world — definitely pack your bathing suit of you're staying here. Room was great, front desk was a bit slow but very nice and entrance is hard to find since they are doing constructions now. Overall good experience and will go back for sure.

Stayed at Astral Towers here for our anniversary and had the most wonderful experience! Reception upgraded our room and even left us complimentary chocolates and house made jellies. The suite was fantastic, modern decor, enormous bathroom and such a luxurious and comfortable bed. We ordered room service and it was delicious! I didn’t want to leave! Definitely will be back, thank you to all the wonderful staff!

Pravin from in room dining needs compensation as has gone above and beyond. Britannia and a couple of people in reception such as Rachael also need a mention as they try to accommodate without complications. However don’t imagine that you as a guest have any ability to ask for anything out of the ordinary with the majority of the rest of the staff — looks like cost trimming and has gone too far and now you only get complimentary bottled water on the executive floor. No toothbrush in the room but you can ask for it, for now?!

Don’t ever allow for things to get difficult, turns to a blame the customer game — it’s not my Fault so how dare you request — some people here try but seriously most are just amateurish at their core. Only reason for a 2 Star is the respect for 2 ladies that looks like are keeping this place in a sane mode and operational. So, if you like complications on checkin, ordering food or asking for water — this is the place for you.

The 2 beds room has renewed to a modern style that 4 years ago when I was here the room design was really old fashion looks.

Convenient location, close to light rail and darling harbor. There's construction going on, so some entrances are blocked. Food court is pretty good, if pricy. Rooms are pretty nice and front desk staff friendly.

Very nice rooms: large, clean, modern. Was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt with a large marble counter in the kitchen and a nice view of the harbour. You'll have the full sweeping view from about floor 8 or 9 and up, below that there's another part of the building blocking and a fair bit of A/C noise. It's a very large property with casino, so common areas and food outlets can be very busy. The location is very close to the waterfront and pleasant. Outside of the hotel it's not the most happening area, though. It's a about a 15 min walk across the bridge into town.

Decent accommodations but the housekeeping staff is far from professional and ruined the whole experience. Pros: The health club and pool was well designed and pleasant. The staff at the front desk was courteous and helpful. The view from our particular room was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Great location near a ferry, restaurants, and shopping. Cons: Housekeeping. They were rude, dismissive, and terrible at their jobs. One girl rolled her eyes at me when I asked for fresh towels after the ones we were given had massive black stains on them. They only came in to clean every 3rd day and openly mocked me because I had to work while they were cleaning. (Note: just because someone has headphones in doesn't mean they can't hear what you're saying about them. ) They failed to take out the trash and restock empty soap bottles. I could have lived with sub-par cleanliness but the rudeness they exhibited is completely unacceptable. There was a weird grinding noise early in the morning that was very loud and woke us up several times. The air conditioning would automatically change the temperature up to 84 degrees F at around 2 am so we would wake up sweating in our bed and have to adjust it. Final impression: Our experience here was decent but I was very disappointed with the professionalism of the housekeeping given how much we paid.

Had a fantastic stay here over the weekend, valet parking was professional and polite, check in was smooth and the hotel staff kindly provided a fruit platter and a bottle of sparkling (water, not champagne! ) in our room with a lovely note for us. We were on the 16th (top) floor, with stunning views. The rooms were immaculate and the kids loved the pool. The lifts are a little troublesome as there was only 1 of 2 working, and without air conditioning, however there were staff on the ground floor to advise wait times and I was taken to the service elevators as an alternative which was appreciated. Deepak (who brought our bags to the room) was excellent and very helpful in offering information on the area. Hotel management take note — great work from the whole team. I rarely give 5 stars as anything from housekeeping to front desk staff could be lacking, but here I believe 5 stars is genuinely deserved.

Astral Tower and Residences is a wonderful place to stay — particularly if you're wanting somewhere with a good location and easy transport. The rooms were very clean and were serviced everyday if asked, had modern features such as automatic closing blinds and a rain shower. The service was fast and the facilities such as the pool, gym and room service were impeccable. Checking in and out was easy, and the amount of restaurants and shops downstairs made late night hunger cravings easily satisfied. Despite being pricy, it was definitely a good experience. Loved the stay.

I stayed in the Astral Tower nearly few days every week for the last three months. It is too good for me to move out. This hotel had five-star service, reception, concierge, facilities, in room dining as well as the 6-star renovated hotels rooms. Astral tower makes me feel home here, from the concierge and reception to the house keepers. They are helpful and well trained. They remember my name and help me from their heart. Despite the higher-grade hotel (the Darling) owned by the star is next to Astral Tower. Astral is much much better than the Darling which have an arrogant attitude to the hotel guest with ‘answering machine’ style reception. Astral is with a total different world. There is the best. I always had very pleasant stay in astral tower. The room had best view with the most comfortable bedding. And I can wake up with the Harbour Bridge. The style of the room is grand and the facilities in the room are like handcrafted. The room is equipped with the sophisticated lighting system and in room media system. You can the control the lighting style with just on touch. You can lie down on the bed and mirror the phone content to the TV. The bath room had a best toilet installed in the suite. And there is a grand piano in the Mega Suite which I share my time with my family during the Christmas. The 24 hours in-room dining with a full selection of western and eastern food available to send to the room and I just love the food here.

This is the best for family and friends to stay together. Very roomy and luxury in every corner. Also connected to the pool for easy access. Have stayed here many times and will continue to.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Their 24hr room service was awesome offering great choice of food. Close to my work and city.

We stayed here last week and were quite surprised at how pleasant it was. We remember it being quite dated the last time we stayed — 6 years ago. The rooms (superior King) are spacious and have great technology. The TV enable streaming of your Netflix — however ours didn't work great. The service was attentive. Downside: 1. There was construction work near the pool and spa so that wasn't enjoyable. This is only temporary, so call and ask before you book a room. 2. There isn't a restaurant attached and hence no buffet breakfast included — we opted for Sokyo breakfast, just a short walk from our room. would recommend and stay again in future.

Decent size room, quality beds, modern bathrooms and good amenities. My biggest complaint was the illogically configured light switches — control panels by the bed and door turned on/off lights in combination (rather than individually), but none of the combination met our desired lighting. Separately, I mentioned that some of the power switches stopped working to a service person in the elevator, and it was fixed very quickly.

Highly recommended. Absolutely awesome room, on the 12th floor with views overlooking Pyrmont Bridge from the main rooms and views of Darling Harbour from the master bedroom balcony. Apartment was newly renovated and felt modern and luxurious. Staff were fantastic, they even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine and dessert on arrival… a perfect start to our daughter's 21st surprise birthday weekend getaway.

My stay was very brief, but the rooms were amazing and the service great. Highly recommended.

It was ok, the toilet sinls and entrance floor was muddy when we checked in. There was no Wi-Fi code written in the room either.

The room is really nice but make sure you don't forget anything in the room as you won't get it back. I forgot the jacket hanged in the wardrobe and rang the hotel lost property but the staff said nothing left in there. I definitely forgot it in there.

Upon check-in, the lady at the front desk informed us that she had upgraded us to an apartment suite. Extremely happy with the kindness and service, from both the reception staff, and the security. We had one noise complaint against us (sorry), to which the security personnel handled it with such professionalism. The matter was resolved immediately, without incident. And the 2 bedroom suite was amazing. Thank you astral tower. I will be back.

It was a bit of a shame that we were given one of the rooms right behind the huge 'Star' logo/sign because it would have been lovely to see the view from our room. Otherwise, everything else was good!

Good sized modern rooms. If you're here for the casino then the location is unbeatable. If you're here to see Sydney then it's an easy 10 minute walk through Pyrmont to get there. The casino does have some really good food options in and around the area. Whether you're here to gamble or not it's a nice place to stay. Breakfast is especially good!

Dont let them give you an upgrade on your room. Ours turned out to be a smoking room on a smoking floor. When we inquired about the smell we were told it wasnt a smoking room however that proved to be not so. It took several complaints before a humidifier was placed in the room for two hours this made no difference. We were not offered an exchange room untill 8.45 pm much to late. My wife has m. S and was greatly ditressed by the whole thing. It spoilt a well planned event which we had to end early. Ask when you are booking in if you have been placed on a smoking floor.
