No where near a 3 star hotel. No shuttle to airport, no phone in the room so no wake up calls provided, don’t even offer a continental breakfast. Small, no tiny, rooms made for sleeping only, showers are ridiculous with sink in the shower no door and water runs around toilet outside shower, shelves for towels inside the shower. Clean is about the only positive thing I can say and I am a positive thinking person. I bought this from looking at the stars and don’t think others should make the same mistake.

For the price paid it was good for the one night stay. Extremely basic hotel — and breakfast is simple — tea / coffee, cereal, fruits and ham and cheese toasted sandwiches. Tea and coffee facility and only soap provided in the room.

It's an ibis hotel, don't expect anything ultra luxurious or anything. If you plan on staying a few night before using the airport (5 minutes walk away) then this place is quite ok. It has a McDonald's and a kfc next to it and it serves it's own meals on the ground floor. I had a queen room whilst I stayed here, it was comfortable and quiet, consisting the location. But the only thing that bothered me was the bathroom layout, when the shower is running water can spill out into the room due to the poor water control system implemented on the floor The bad points is that it's in a bad place for touring Sydney, you do have the metro not too far away but that station (domestic terminal) will charge you extra to use it and the closest station that doesn't is in mascot. I'm not too sure about buses I didn't see many and those I did see was near mascot station.

You pay for what you get. It is a nice location if you plan to have a day or 2 before going to your flight. Quick food options are Kristy Keene donuts, Macias and KFC. The room I got was nice, but not a 5* resort. If you want a better option, the Mantra is just next door. But I feel the price difference was good enough to put for the cheaper option. The bed was nice, you have a TV and the shower was a bit small. Like I said, you get what you pay for. Normally a 3* resort but I'll put for 4* based on location and price for it.

24 hour reception, great service and located + — 700 meter near sydney domestic airport. Good for short stay while you wait for your connecting flight.

Okay place. Very small rooms. Staff is not very courteous. Good option only if you want to stay closer to the airport.

Motel was functional, biggest issue was so many people making lots of noise at night, thin walls make it hard to not get bothered (especially high traffic areas like a room near the lifts)

Good place to sleep and retreat after a long day of roaming around Sydney CBD. I wish they had better menu next time and cleaned the rooms a tad better. Our room had too much dust from day one.

Great value for money. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and the shower was hot. Friendly staff and great location to the airport.

A dreadful experience with appalling customer service. It took a total of 30 minutes to be in a room due to a number of problems. The assistant manager did her best but one of the staff was just a joke and so unhelpful.

Hotel very close to the domestic airport and shuttle to the affordable international airport. The room we rented was outdated, but newly refurbished rooms were available at little extra charge. Adjacent to McDonald's, PFK, dinner and easy access dinner.

It's perfect if you have to catch a plane early in the morning, in 12 minutes you're at the domestic terminal, however it's right on a bypass, so noise even in the rooms. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all.

Great value for money and the rooms, although on the small size, were super quiet! Bed comfy and there are some fast food places within walking distance. Good for a transit. It's budget but in a good way!

Friendly, helpful service. If you want a hotel that's close to airport and cheap, then it's okay. Kind of hard to get here on foot from the airport, there's a shuttle you can use.

Bed looked like it had already been slept in, photo demonstrates how it was when we pulled the duvet back. Cleanliness and maintenance needs some attention. The only thing that wasn't budget was the price.

Clean and convenient to the airport. The staff are helpful and friendly. They also have options for a buffet breakfast and an airport shuttle.

Budget hotel in a great location. Very small, but comfortable rooms with a baffling shower/wetroom setup… The entire room gets wet! The hotel is perfect for the night before an early flight, there really isn't another reason why you'd stay. There is a shuttle to either the domestic or international airport that runs on the half hour from 5am for $7 per person. The shuttle runs direct with no other stops… Very convenient.

It was clean, and the bed was not too bad, the bathroom when we came in was smelling like bleach. Compared to the other Ibis hotels Ibis in Europe, the price is too high for what you get. Breakfast was really basic. Friendly personnel though. And the hot chocolate was good.

Good Rooms and ammenities for a reasonable price. Shower would leak water into main room however. Buffet was good but mantra next door offered much better food and drink options.

Pleasant helpful staff, nice ensuite, breakfast starts early enough for international travellers. Relies on heat in bedrooms for warmth — no blankets provided. Good bus service for short distance from airport.

You get what you pay for at this hotel — the rooms are incredibly small, just enough for the essentials. The beds are very comfortable for a good night's sleep. If you are looking to spend more time in the room though, would recommend looking elsewhere.

This is definitely a budget hotel. The room was smaller than our ship's cabin. The bathroom floor would never need to be washed by the cleaners, as the shower flooded the entire (small) room. No glasses in the bathroom — not even disposable ones. Two very thin bath towels, no hand towels or bath mat. No bin in the bathroom. About 15cm to squeeze on one side of the bed. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was certainly close to the airport — but not much else.

Pros: Sheets and towels were clean, bathroom was small but it was clean enough and served its purpose. There is a cafe near the reception, and there are fast food restaurants nearby. Staff were very polite. Cons: rooms are a bit dusty. (The floor, the furniture, etc. ). The elevator was also a bit unclean. Overall it was a good experience. Will stay here again should I find myself near Sydney airport.

Staff are great and will offer travel advice to any tired traveller. Cafe and restaurant is small and offers a few home cooked options. Rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller but for a nights accomodation before a flight or after a flight it is more than enough.

Friendly desk staff greet you warmly. Quick and easy processing. My room on the 5th floor was well presented being neat and tidy. No top bed cover but you don't need one. Comfortable bed and pillows. Only coffee & tea provided with the small milk sachets in the fridge. Overall better than I expected after reading previous reviews. If you want to stay close to the domestic or international airports without paying super expensive prices then this is the place for you. For only $7 each way you can get a shuttle from the hotel to the airport or vice versa. My recommendation — definitely worth the money and you're saving heaps.

Lovely and clean rooms. Lovely staff. HAM and cheese toasties, coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice. Eggs, Honey. Good breakfast. Cost $15 each. Comfortable beds. Will stay again in future. Highly recommend this place cheap too. We paid $120 (twin share).

This accommodation is close to the domestic airport (~10min). Fastest check-in I've experienced for accommodation (maybe 15sec), while the guy was not rude it was not a warm welcome. As the name suggests; the rooms are on a budget, it was pretty much a small room with beds, bathroom, fridge, TV and coffee/tea making facilities. The room was clean. Only problem was that only 1 towel was supplied (room booked for 4 people)

Very happy with my stay. Stayed overnight because I had to pick up someone early the next day. The price was right, $150, and I got pretty much what I expected. Clean, reasonably modern room. Comfy bed. Well functioning tv. Hot shower. Checking process was impressively fast, took about 1 minute. Would happily stay again.

Most incompetent staff I have ever experienced. Our flight arrived early in the morning around 8 am, and we indicated when we booked the room that we intended to arrive around 9 am. Upon arrival, we were told not only that we had to pay extra to check in early at 9 am, but that the room was not ready even though it was past 9. We waited in the lobby for 20 minutes. Later that night, we tried to sleep early as we had an early flight the next day and we're awoken by rude loud knocking at our door. After yelling at the person, only then did they indicate that they were from reception. Apparently some other guest mistook our room for theirs and there was some misunderstanding with reception, and therefore they needed to ask our last name? Instead of checking their multiple records that they should've kept track of, they decided to disturb us and wake us up. How does a hotel not know or keep track of the name of guests in each room? Only thing good is their selection of wine.

Booked so we would not have to travel early in morning to the airport. But it's not really "at the airport — a 30 min did is needed. Next time, I'll stay elsewhere are train it in. The hotel is very noisy, rooms tiny, beds of questionable vintage and walls covered with smudges. I've stayed in better highway motels. On the plus side, it's relatively inexpensive and the (too few) desk staff are doing their best. But I'll not be back. Addendum. This morning, the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport was overbooked, meaning some people (not myself, luckily) would be delayed getting to their flights. As a hotel that touts itself as being aimed at air travellers, meeting the paid commitments to get patrons to their flights should be a priority. Dropped review to one star. Avoid.

The rooms are clean with small bathrooms. Great for overnight. The fast food outlets next door are convenient. Very close to the airport, within walking distance and barely any plane noise in the rooms. Soap was the only toiletries provided in the room.

Convenient, clean, basic. Bring ear plugs. Not overly environmentally friendly with disposable crockery at breakfast.

Great service. Staff were incredibly friendly. We were upgraded to a larger room on arrival with a complimentary breakfast. Beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. Rooms were spacious and had a great view. Bathrooms were a little small but other than that, there's nothing to complain about.

Woken up at 4am each morning. Slamming doors. Kids running around screaming for over 20 minutes. When we complained the guy at front counter did not even say sorry. No phone in rooms. No hairdryer. We had to ask twice for breakfast vouchers. Never again This place brings down the great name and reputation the Ibis has.

For a family with quite a few bags l seriously wouldn't stay here again. Wanted to sort out luggage but other than the beds to lay things out there is absolutely no room. Felt like the original room was halved to fit more paying guests. Room for beds and an ability to walk around it was all, and a caravan sized bathroom. For two people passable, did have meals on-site, takeaways right next door and location of course was excellent. And clean.

Appauling: That when I booked, I booked double & bunks. I got one bunk on top of double. When I told receptionist, he said no but if u want a room like that you'll have to pay extra $20. THEN: They have renovations going from 9am — 5pm all day & it was loud & really close! This wasn't on the website when I booked, but if they want something on there they'll put it. Felt deceived by them not telling me on website. Couldn't rest my head properly! I don't trust that big blue sign as u walk in, looks like it's not enough support to hold it up. If there's no fridge, room, ironing board, iron closet etc. Why charge over $100, it's basic. Then they want $22 night for car park.

I stayed there for one night with my partner & his kids & had the interconnecting rooms. It was a room with beds & bathroom only. I was horrified that there is no coffee/tea even in rooms — no kitchenette. If you just want bed, Rv & bathroom then it's fine for you. Over priced for what it is, the room was clean but not nothing like other simple hotel rooms I've stayed in.

Well what can I say, for $160 a nite it's basic, no fridge in room, no kettle. I have stayed all over Australia and the Nullarbor plains offer better. Ibis think smarter and do the right thing. If booking look elsewhere there is better for less and just over $160. Shuttle just as axle dive as taxi. No Wi-Fi. The list goes on.

I'm glad I'm heading out to South America and not back as this was surely booked by mistake. Room ok — extremely basic, but $160pn — no way! Torn carpets in the hallways, paper thin paint on the walls and this should be removed from the Accor group before it affects membership.

The price was right and the room was very basic, but exactly what we expected. It is perfect for staying just a night or maybe 2 before catching a flight. It is very easy to walk to the domestic airport too.

This was truly a budget hotel, in every respect. While clean there were half St the to of the walls so you could hear conversations from the next room. This accommodation was paid for in our case but we wouldn't have chosen it.

Unfortunately, Jetstar forced our hands into finding cheap accommodation near the airport, so we picked this place for a bit over $220.00 as it was significantly cheaper but turns out they are purely price gouging! Hopefully I'll get the refund off jetstar but seriously it's a rip off. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is more backpacker then hotel. I've stayed in backpackers that were much much better. Do NOT stay here.

Rooms were small and the bathroom smelled really bad, but the fact it was cheap, very close to the airport and the checkin checkout service was very fast made it ideal for the one nighter looking for a simple bed to get through the night.

Exactly what it is called, A Budget Hotel. Small room, small bathroom. Simple bed but adequate. Nothing fancy at all. But for one night it met my needs. No problems. It is close to the Domestic airport so if you only have one carry-on you could easily walk.

Good budget hotel if you are staying only for a night or two. Rooms are really small and just meant for sleeping. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Location is good, plus a 10 minutes walk to Sydney domestic train terminal, from where you can catch trains to the city. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are available which are not very expensive. Overall a good place to stay for a night or two.

Simple and clean, but mostly convenient for the airport. I was annoyed that the carpark was Aus$18 and there was a charge for paying with a credit card, but mostly angry that on Agoda the price was $137 but while booking my credit card was declined and we were then quoted $199. Sydney was busy that night (rugby world cup, etc), so we had no option. When we arrived we paid using the same credit card and it was not declined. Apparently, according to Agoda, the hotel is responsible for this system. It's a ripoff in my opinion. We have Post Office Travel Cards and I tried to pay with a Halifax Clarity card too, both rejected on line. To me it smacks of a "they are foreign tourists so let them pay more" attitude. For this reason alone I can't recommend it and I would certainly prefer to stay somewhere else another time simply because the place is just too depressing.

Do not take the shuttle from the domestic terminal. It costs $6 per person each way and it will take you less time to walk than to wait for it. Also, there are two Ibis hotels. So be careful when searching for phone numbers. The other ibis will not answer the phone. This ibis does if you know to call them. Neither will tell you it costs money unless you explicitly know to ask. If you are like me and chose this hotel because it is $10 cheaper than better alternatives, pick those instead, and be sure to ask about the cost of shuttles.

Family and I stayed for 2 nights at the price of $278, checked in early before 12pm and got charged $20 fee. Room was very small, window does not open, bathroom was very small and the shower is right next to the toilet. The water from the shower goes all over the floor and there's no bathroom mat. The vent in the bathroom is too small. If you are clostraphobic I would not recommend this hotel. The fan in the room is noisy but didn't mind it. Reception were nice.

Good only for one night if you are travelling. Disliked the only two pillows woke up with a sore neck. No coffee making facilities. Would not recommend for a long stay!

What a dump. Port-a-potty bathrooms, crap lighting, beds horrendously uncomfortable and I could go on. Pay a bit more, stay elsewhere.

Price was $109, pre-booked for two single beds, got queen single upon walking in. Gave them an extra star for the nice staff on the front desk. Room conditions: Clean, two small bars of soap, makeshift coathanger for 2 items, makeshift table, bed has wheels and will move unexpectingly. Room is almost completely sealed apart from the front door. The intense smell must be insect spray of some sort. Sound insulation is non-existent. $5 per shower item, late checkout is extra charge as well, parking is $18 per day. You get only 1 card, needed to keep the room electrics on.

Damn, I cannot give them — 5. Its a prison cell, but filthier. This is worse than Skid Row Mission. Protein stains on the carpet — I will be sleeping with two pairs of undies, just in case. Walls thinner than cigarette paper so I can hear my neighbours two doors down. Passengers in the planes taking off are clearly visible and the noise is measured on Richter scale. Park bench looks like better (and cleaner) option.

Enjoyed my stay there. No dramas and the dayshift people rocks.

I cannot actually give a 0 Star rating, so it will be a single star. My parents stayed here over Friday and Saturday nights. However due to some incompetent staff and management here, a $300 excess fee for their booking mistake and then refusal to admit the mistake has been a very misleading experience. Will not being recommending or ever staying here again.

Just a quick taxi ride from the airport, and we were at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, and check-in was a breeze — took literally 30 seconds. The room was nice and contained all that we needed — air conditioning, TV, shower, and comfortable bed. Trying to use the hand basin was difficult because the shower curtain blocked it (and was wet from our shower), but its a minor niggle. In the morning, there was a good cheap continental breakfast, check-out was as easy as dropping off the key, and the taxi phone allowed us to return to the airport with ease. A good stay overall, for a good price, and would come back again.

Absolutly horrible. We booked there for an overnight stay since Sydney was a stopover; and this would have to be the worst Forumle1 we've stayed at and I've stayed at a couple in Brisbane and Sydney before. When we first arrived we checked in and went up to our room to realise our card/key wasn't opening the door to our room, we tried a couple of more times when we heard a knock from the inside of the room! A little freaked out I went back down to reception, in which they swiped the card so it would work for that room, I walked back up and the card worked and open the door only to be yelled at by someone who was staying in that room. Slightly embarrassed we went back down to reception in which they apologised and gave us another room, low and behold the EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED! Opening the door on other's who were staying in the second room we were allocated. Stunned we told reception and they finally gave us a room that wasn't occupied. Very poorly looked after and had a smell about it, poorly organised and managed and very unsafe considering other's can walk in on you. Whatever you do don't stay here.

Super small room. Nothing except toilet paper, cups, and a couple small bars of soap. Mildew smell hit me as I entered the room. Shower could actually spray the bedroom floor. $12 to and from the airport. No Wi-Fi or internet in the room. Only good if you expect the very least in a place to stay. Was told about bars at nearby hotels by the staff and had to use the nearby McDonalds and KFC Wi-Fi to communicate with home for free.
