Ian and Nat are the most amazing hosts. Incredibly friendly and beautiful people. It definitely shows in their Motel and Restaurant. Moore Park Inn is stunning and the rooms are spacious and most inviting. The food and wine at Archie’s Restaurant was to die for. Highly recommended. Well done you should be proud.

My favourite place to stay! Over 30 years, much of it as a commercial traveller, I've stayed here over 100 times! The motel is close to the southernmost end of Armidale, about 1km north of the bypass roundabout. The "Old House" which contains accommodation, Reception and the Restaurant was one of the first grand houses built when Armidale was in early development. Two extension wings allow you to stay in contemporary motel rooms or in rooms themed in tune with the Old House itself. In winter, a roaring wood fire in the restaurant and bar makes everyone feel cosy. The service is wonderful, the food is great and the wine list is extensive. If in the area, stay there!

We booked online and it said $159 — and when we rang up they advised for the room we wanted it was $189 so we agreed and paid… YET — When we check-out! they want $229 and apparently because they put us in the wrong room which was more expansive?! It is a shocking case that we had to pay and no exuses they would not let us go. It ruined our enjoyment of the venue as besides this occurrence it was pleasant situation. BUT — there is no exuse for this over charging practice. So we will not recommend or travel here again in future.

Mouldy shower and last guest toothpaste still in sink hole didnt get us off to a great first impression (photos uploaded showing mould toothpaste) Also a drainage issue in our shower meant our feet were covered in mouldy water. Also the shower head was a shocker and spirted everywhere. Soap dish caked with old soap so hygiene overall not great. Restaurant was good but very expensive and no place to kids/families… Upon checkout we were told we hadn't paid although upon arrival we were told we had paid. When questioning I was insulted and belittled in front of other guests making everyone very uncomfortable and even threatened me when I asked 'why are you insulting me' she said "I'll do more than that" I don't know what she meant or what she can do. I'm assuming charge my credit card for some random thing they try on. It's a shame the service at checkout was so poor and unapologetic as we had planned on another stay however with the hygiene issues and the extremely rude service at the end we could not not knowingly expose our family to this place with the behavior of female owner. I had to tell my kids to stay in the room so they weren't exposed to her abusive manner. Overall it was a $30 discrepency. Which was not our fault, not an issue with the booking agent. All she wanted was her money and didnt care how she made us feel even bringing my wife to tears. What a shame.

Poor communication between 3rd party booking agent (our Commbank rewards agent) Rudely told at check out we owe more funds after being told at check in our bill was paid! Beware. Cold room on check in on a cold winters eve.

Nice place just outside Armidale. Great views of horses in the paddocks next door. Good restaurant, for serious food and wine. Rooms are not spectacular in decor, but clean and comfortable, with good — hot and strong and clean — showers. Better than average toiletries too.

Had the work Christmas party here, food was great, the two younger servers were fantastic, very friendly.

Cozy, quaint accomodation. Good restaurant, desert was overpriced. Owners were attentive and friendly.

The room is very comfortable with an electric blanket on the bed ❤️️ — so nice for winter in Armidale. The view from the patio doors over the property, dam and horses grazing is picture perfect but I really missed not having a clock radio to go to sleep to. Archie's was a gorgeous experience — the food was impeccable and the atmosphere warm and inviting with a roaring log fire and grand piano setting the mood perfectly. Attentive friendly and professional wait staff making sure your dining experience is everything you desired. Friendly welcoming reception and overall a lovely place. Will definitely be back.

We love the Moore Park Inn. We've stayed here several times with our puppy Belle and always feel welcome and well cared for. We make travel arrangements to be able to take the New England just to stay here because it's the best option on our way.

Great motel built around a heritage listed property in beautiful grounds 5 minutes out of Armidale. Spacious well equipped refurbished room overlooking the quiet property. Very close to Armidale airport but not a problem at night! Very friendly proprietors; would be happy to stay again!

One of the best est Western Motels I have stayed in. Very comfortable stay. Nice cozy beds, clean room and toilet, Friendly staff. I definitely will stay here when ever I am in Ariadale.

Just had an excellent meal — Sage and parmesan crusted pork cutlet with parmesan and a delicious jus. A very pleasant atmosphere. I'll be back.
