Nothing like the photos and it’s old and outdated gross mould in bathroom and very small bed no mattress protector sheets don’t fit it’s lumpy the place is nothing short of disgusting broken doors poor lighting I can go on but read other people’s comments all the negative ones are all true don’t waste your money here.

Absolutely disgusting. Mouldy, stinky, stained, dusty, and useless unhelpful staff. We are actually forfeiting our paid room and staying else where. It is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I’ve stayed in back packer hostels in 3rd world countries that are nicer than this!

Rooms — need a really good clean, aircons were disgusting and in desisted need of a clean, walls dirty and ceiling was half patches, half paint.
Carpark is insanely inadequate. It might be less than a lot of other places but still not worth it.

The most disgusting room I have ever stayed at in Canberra. I would travel 10 times a year to Canberra.

Great location. So convenient. Bus stop out front and a block from light rail stop.
Recently renovated rooms are very comfortable, much better than I expected from the exterior. Bed so comfortable.
Liked the common areas with a large table and chairs so small groups could socialize outside their rooms.
Free undercover parking if early and lucky enough, otherwise free parking across the street.

Fantastic location, wonderful clean newly renovated room. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay. We have put in a formal complaint and of course, no response.
The worse was the mould, great to be on holidays interstate, with 3 children, all with chronic asthma.
Tiles were broken, mould everywhere in bathroom, vents disgusting and full of dust, broken door handles, and holes in the wall. List goes on.
Would highly recommend GOING ELSEWHERE.

We checked in to find our room filthy, actually filthy is an understatement. Dishes on the sink, food on the sofa bed, dirty sheets on the Queen bed, dirty tissues in the bed along with wine bottles and plates from the cupboard, dirty towels in the bathroom. Upon speaking to reception we were moved to a room that didn't accommodate our guests. We asked if the original room had been fixed which we were told yes but of course not! No manager available to talk to of course so an email has been sent. Hopefully we hear back but given all this trouble so far I'm guessing we won't. If you are thinking of staying here please do yourself a favour and don't.

Stayed here a month or so ago Reno is great super. Clean room comfy and best location for Canberra nightlife. I must have missed the previous non Reno era because we were super happy.

Knock it down. No saving it. My room had not been renovated since 1970s. I was dilapidated, broken, filthy, stunk and was gross. No where to sit in the lounge. No way I'd bath in the shower.

Cheap and convenient, no frills.

Finish the renovations & fix the spa's, 2 spas both out of service, restaurant onsite closed for refurbishment & carpet in hall pulled up with underlay showing with smell of construction site emanating through hallway, shrugged off by staff when I complained. Do not recommend ever. Even on Wotif with their rating system, they only reply to people leaving3 or above stars & ignore the negative comments. Total lack of managerial skills / professionalism.

Great, clean room. Super friendly staff. Amazingly comfortable bed.

Old rooms but clean. Too expensive for what you get. The place needs an uplift. Poor lighting throughout. Taps were too hard to turn on & off. Also noisy taps! Plumbing! The only thing new was the pen.

Good access to city and plenty to see in walking distance, a bit dated but in process of being renovated. Needs a window you can open.

I walk in around 11pm after a few beers and whiskies. My stomach can't handle too much beer anymore how sad… I get the keys to my room (not a swipe card but physical keys). I walk in and the air con is set to 16 (wow) and get a big whiff of cumin, cardamon and coriander seeds as if they were toasting away for a while (as I wrote this at home I can smell it — seeping from my pyjamas). I carry on and wash my hands and realise someone already opened the guest complimentary soap packet and used it (I thought I was expecting unexpected guests so ignore and assume it was the cleaners washing their own hand.

Reasonable price, nothing fancy. Good location, handy walking distance to restaurants and bars etc.

Conveniently located apartment hotel with simple rooms, great place to stay when staying in Canberra for work. Great price and closer to restaurants and bars in Mort and Lonsdale streets.

Our room was very tired with mould in the salmon coloured tiles in tne bathroom, complete with blue shower curtain. It also had these odd metal shutters over the balcony doors that only let light to the room via a single panel that led to the overall dreary ambience of the room… while the bed was comfy, there was an absence of a doona (in Canberra in winter! ) Additional blankets had holes in them… All this luxury for $180 for the night… would not recommend.

This place is a dump. The outside is an eyesore, inside — worse. Don’t bother staying. One bed didn’t even have a protective cover on the mattress and there was long hair on the bedspread and the rug. No fan in bathroom. Entire place is in DESPERATE need of an overhaul, from the reception to the lift to the whole room and old falling a part bathroom. If I could give it a big thumbs down, I would. Don’t waste your money, no value here, a disgrace to our nation’s Capital. Even the location is not worth it. Find somewhere else.

Nice room with kitchenette, bathroom, TV and a nice table. Staff. Its location is very close to the center and however you can also take a bus to the center or the tourist line that makes the tour of Canberra. Parking space. Cleanliness to be perfected.

Rooms are clean, but dark, not a place that you can spend a lot of things in. Open shared areas are nice, found that this was the only place the internet worked well. Location of hotel close to trendy places to eat. Appeared that business travelers stayed there. Depends on what you are looking for, elegant it is not.

An okay, cheap alternative to some of the other places in Canberra. A little run-down but comfortable enough to spend a few days. Near the trendier cafe area and close to public transport I had no problem finding a good coffee or getting around the city.

Convenient location to city able to walk Canberra Central. Difficult to park on site and facilities are quite old. Very noisy pipes when taking showers. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and very very helpful.

Dirty and dirty no way I will be back here! When we arrived we had a serious problem to find the parking place because there is a little carpark with tight spots with a quite limited number of spots.
The room is dirty and disgusting! Bathroom with hair and stain, ventilation fan full of dust, mold in the tiles of the bathroom, the bed is uncomfortable. When you pull the water some bad noise from the pipe is coming out! I just couldn't wait to check out from this motel!

The service is excellent, parking is free. The location is convenient for public transport.

Very basic/budget level room but it was comfortable and clean. No fresh air in room as windows didn't open (we didn't have a balcony room) so a bit suffocating. There are hotplates there for cooking in kitchenette and as there is no ventilation, a stale cooking odour smell was present. The Italian Restaurant downstairs was lovely for dinner and breakfast. Squishy underground parking was great if you were driving a mini!

We had the cuddle and bubble package great value. Only complaint TV didnt work spa to hard to climb into should have a step. Shower kept running cold Food in the restaurant is fabulous. Staying in another room tonight much nicer room TV works shower is great.

Worst place I have ever stayed. Mould in the bathroom, paint peeling everywhere. Dank and dirty. Musty smell throughout the whole place. Dirty dishes and grotty appliances.

It's an average hotel. The place is really dated and the building and the furnishings could really use an update. The rooms are really dark with no fresh air (unless you have a room with a balcony). There aren't enough lights in the room and the ones they have don't do a great job. The matresses, linens and blankets seem like the same ones they've been using for the last 20 years and need an upgrade. The shower had so many grime stains on the tiles and it too was really old. When I checked in the guy at the front desk was pretty slow and not very helpful however the female staff worker when I checked out was great. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The rooms have been very nice. It's not the most polished, but it's got plenty of space and I cannot hear my neighbors through the walls — and I walked into the hall and heard a screaming toddler, but inside the room I could hear nothing, especially since I brought my own kids, it means I'm not disturbing my neighbors either. As a parent, this is the best possible outcome for a room. There is covered parking, with a closed gate and staff by 24x7. In the room I'm in there is a kitchenette, which is great so I can get groceries and keep costs down. As far as I'm concerned this is the perfect place for a week-long trip.

Not a friendly reception and Internet connection is terrible. Told by reception been having trouble all day. I would hazard a guess it never works.

Even though this place is not officially rated 5 stars, they do have some of the traits. What matters is that they've got hard working staff who will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Then again don't expect a luxurious experience but it's good enough for a quick stay.

Very old and run down hotel. Found broken glass and several pills behind both of the bedside tables. Advised reception staff (who were lovely) who put in a request with housekeeping. Came back a few hours later and half of it was still there! Housekeeping was quite poor as mugs and plates were dirty along with stray hairs found throughout the bathroom. Parking is appalling! No where near enough spaces. Rooms are also not soundproof. Can hear the kids jumping in the beds in the room next to us plus kids screaming and running around all morning out in the hallways. Not to mention having to turn the Tv up loud to drown out the sound of water running through the pipes. Best thing they have going is their free kit Kats lol.

Cleanliness of this place was atrocious. Hair all over the bath and sink in bathroom. Frypan not clean. Room had a funky smell and tired fittings with a TV that didn't work! Bed was worn out — had to sleep diagonally to avoid back pain. Was given free breakfast vouchers — went to atrium at 7.30 in the morning and no one there with nothing set up. Suppose you truly can never trust a motel that sells a 'cuddle n bubble' package. I am sure this was by the hour when Fyshwick was in its prime, looking at the place.

Generously sized and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Kitchenette, attached restaurant, and parking provided. All you would need for a short stay without frills.

I was simply picking up an item left by a friend who was a guest, one front desk attendant seemed like he was on work experience (don't think he was though) as he seemed a little too casual, hands in pockets, etc. The other attendant was very helpful, and professional however.

The location is great. The check in was seamless and staff were very helpful. Rooms are clean and the bed very comfy.

Older style accommodation. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Room was comfy and very clean. Great location. Easy access to good food places. Short drive to major sightseeing places. Would definately stay again.

Room clean but dated. House keeping is appalling. Found a KFC milk shake. In the fridge and used glad wrsp from previous guest when we areived. Reception staff okay. Not impressed that they took an imprint of my credit card and insisted that I sign it with a blank monetary value on it. I refused but my husband. Assured me that they would rip it up the next morning but no, apparently it has been sent to a data company… God knows why! The restaurant staff were lovely and the food reasonable. Won't be back because of the credit card deposit debacle and I won't recommend it either. $300 security deposit is obsurd.

The 'woman' on the front counter who was the apparent 'manager', would have to be the most rude and unreasonable person I have ever come across in customer service. She provided absolutely no assistance & any requests were met with 'that's not our problem'. Luckily the lady on the afternoon shift had some idea of customer service.
I hope the 'manager' makes a significant career change in the near future.
You'd be better off staying in a hostel than this place. Disgraceful!

Simple rooms perfect for nights stay. Within walking distance to the CBD which is excelet if you dont wish to drive in city traffic or pay for public transport.

The capital executive apartment hotel is a modest little place. If you are looking for a cheap Canberra cbd location look no further. But bare in mind: some rooms are fairly noisy, dishes in my room were dirty from previous tenant, The double bed offers no back support (extremely soft), The room does not feel very secure (I worry for my belongings, Bring your own soap (my room is not stocked with soap (washing my hands with the several conditioner bottles provided) Wifi is patchy (not guaranteed in room) Shower floor is sharp hand on a slant making it very slippery With all that said I will stay there again because you can't beat the price.

Loved the room it was spacious clean and tidy bed very comfortable and bathroom was a good size nice strong shower pressure enjoyed my stay.

Went to book accommodation and had a Terrible experience with the bloke on the other side! Was extremely rude and obnoxious which was highly unnecessary! Actually quite pleased I knew what I was in for before I even got the chance to book! Maybe yous should look in to better communication skills!

Affordable and decent place to stay close to the centre.

It was located on northbourn in the city near to parliament. Overall experience was good. Its room was studio type and neat and clean. Services was very good. We can stay again there if we'll get any chance.

Good basic business trip hotel.

Good value for money and the staff were nice. It is very noisy if your room is on the main road, the noise of buses and trucks outside was annoying, it would be great if they had double glazing. Car park is good, but a tight fit and a pipe was leaking in the roof all over our car. Good location though, easily walkable to wonderful cafes and bars.

Neither "executive" nor "apartments". The rooms are slightly bigger than a hotel room, but not by much. Not anything like other accommodation I have had to take in the Canberra.

Disgusting service staff so rude and disconnected. Our room had upon entering smelt of urine the pillows had cigarette burns in them, the bedding was stained, the cutlery had scaley food left on them and worse when the kids went to have a spa not only was it not clean there were pubic hairs in it! Female night staff manager had personality of a brick and seemed completely unfazed at the state of the room. Will never stay there again and would NOT recommend to anyone …

Walk in booking. Very reasonable rate. Really nice rooms with kitchenette. Very comfortable. Highly recommend. However: Wi-Fi at $10 was very crappy even by crappy hotel Wi-Fi standards. Slow, dropping out. Dont bother with Wifi. Use your own. Breakfast: Eggs not well cooked and make your own tea with cool water and a tea bag for $2. Recommend going elsewhere for breakfast.

We turned up reasonably late at night after making a booking online while on the road. Wasn't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, everything worked. My room overlooked a side street and there was a little traffic noise but all in all not disconcerting. All in all this hotel represented great value for money.

Excellent place for a business traveller on a budget. Large comfortable rooms for longer stays, everything you need to make an extended stay away from home as pleasant as it can be.

It was okay for the fee they ask, but I'd rather stay somewhere that has nicer amenities.

Great value. Really comfortable for large groups. Staff really understanding and helpful. Lots of rest linen and towels available. The tub was a bit old and needed a really good scrub — Probably not dirty, just a tad old. I'm just a bit fussy. Overall good stay.
