Stayed in a cabin. It had everything we needed. Had the buffet breakfast that was excellent. The park was central to all my travels around Canberra.

This tourist park was the worst experience ever for me and my partner, we had booked a spa cabin 2 months prior our stay. Yet on arrival we were put in these tiny dog boxes that they ever so called decent hotel rooms. Not to mention the room was disgusting, had not even been cleaned. The shower was mouldy, there was prior guests hair all over the beds and bed side tables, the curtains weren't even open. We went to the office and asked to be moved and were even willing to pay extra even though this was not our mistake, the office staff were so rude and honestly didn't care for what we had to say. So we decided to leave and not even stay there, yet all they kept making clear was that we were not getting our money back. Not even worth the $105. Absolutely poor and disgusting service.

Staff were friendly, park had great facilities for children outside. Beds were comfortable. Room was nice and tidy. The buffet breakfast was good but could be improved for the price perhaps more options for children maybe pancakes. Room was attended to each day providing clean fresh towels. The park was very close if you plan on going to GIO stadium. Unfortunately the let down was the shower. Would definately stay again. Thankyou for having us.

Great location, great facilites and friendly staff. Cabin was a bit average with harsh fluorescent lighting, no powerpoints in the bedrooms and very uncomfortable mattresses on the two single beds that had been pushed together to make a double. Only stayed one night but if I'd stayed longer I would want to spend as much time as possible using the facilities and exploring the beautiful area and as little time as possible in the cabin itself.

Our cabin was reasonably clean. We paid $170 for one night (checked in on a Wed, 9pm) which was slightly high. All was fine except we didn't get shampoo and by the time we settled down around 10pm, reception was shut.

We visited family staying in the park, one of the new 3 bedroom villas. It was a huge space, and nice facilities. The family was happy with the stay. Would recommend this place to others.

Top Park. We were there with a campervan. Space is very big, Camp Kitchen makes a new impression. Everything — very clean as well as the toilets and showers. It's only 10 minutes to the city by car.

We were excited for our school holiday adventure to Canberra to see the sights but were let down by our accommodation at Alivio Tourist Park. We arrived at 3pm to check in, dump our groceries and hit the pool and playground we returned to our room after a terrible dinner at the Restaurant, cold chips, carrot on the beef burger and so much greasy batter on my fish I would have surely been ill if I had eaten it. We went back to our room at about 7pm to grab something out of the fridge and it was not working. So all of our cold meats, cheese, milk etc were not cold and had been in the fridge for 4 hours so clearly they all had to be thrown out, so you would think? I went to reception to complain and the Assistant Manager offered for me to bring all the food over and put in their fridge. When I said I am not re cooling it to feed to my young sons, she said that is what they are offering take it or leave it. I had my docket from shopping and wanted to be reimbursed for my lose, after going back and forth with her she offered me 2 breakfast vouchers and $40. The breakfast at $19 per adult and $15 for kids is pricey considering kids would not eat $15 worth of food at breakfast in the form of cereal, toast and juice. The breakfast was below average. To washing machine and dryer tokens at $6 each to to wash and dry that is $12.

Good for families. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was well appointed. The bed sheets and covers were a little dirty (I don't think they were replaced or cleaned from the previous occupant) but otherwise the site facilities were good for a young family — outdoor pool, tennis/volleyball court, basketball, and a foosball table.

Setting is a real deal! One of the best in the state. Though, first time experience was very good compared to my second one. Would still recommend it to friends and relatives.

This a huge tourist park in the middle of Canberra. There are all the facilities that you could ask for and it is handy to just about everywhere. They also have a fully functioning restaurant with good food. The highlight for me is the mountain bike park only next door, with heaps of fun flowy trails :-)

Well run park. Good variety of accommodation and sites. Clean and easy to navigate.

Very good park. Well set out. Caters for everyone. A bit on th expensive side but that's Canberra. The only criticism is the ladies toilets. Great and clean but can't get any paper.

Cabins are nice and clean. Pools big and suitable for families. Reception is manned long hours if you need anything. The hiring of stuff for sports rather than just taking a deposit prevented me from using the sports facilities. $6 for a washing machine cycle is a bit steep.

Great family spot. Clean bungalows. Well maintained barbeques, playground, and pool. Friendly staff. I watched a group of people without kids look sorely out of place. If you can't handle screaming children around every turn, definitely stay away. But if you are looking for a family friendly stay, this is it.

Great value for money. Stayed in 2 bedroom cabin. It was small, but not cramped. Kids loved the pool and playground. Close to the city, but still surrounded by bushland.

One night stay in a drive through powered site. Impressive camp kitchen and amenities. Lots of new trees planted for shade, good restaurant and pool with easy accessibility for wheel chairs, etc.

My team stayed here because of it's walking distance to the Australian Institute of Sports. The cabins are well resourced, the facilities (including various sporting activities as well as pool) are very much appreciated, and it has good access to public transport. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

One of the best accommodations I've ever experienced. Everything was clean and tidy. The pool is not heated but its so clean and my family loved it. There is tennis courts and a basketball court. It's such a clean and peaceful atmosphere. I stayed in the garden view room and it was the absolute best. Highly recommend that cabin with the garden view.

Nice quiet facility. There are also hiking trails around the park.

Good location just outside of town centre, with tramping trails surrounding park; one room wood cabins are the size of a studio, free Wi-Fi is limited to 500mb per day, room serviced every 3rd day only, but no replenishment of tea or toiletries, reasonably clean though. Harsh white lights throughout the room. Thin bath towels; white duvet cover had yellow discoloring where it touches people's faces & comforter in it smelled of perspiration/body odor. Comfortable mattress, but minimal space to walk on both sides of it. No luggage racks or space for them, so must use closet/shelving for clothes, etc. Overall, would not stay here again.

Unfortunately, the worst experience we have made all over Australia. We were sent away, even though we were just going to offer a cabin? We recommended the park epic, which we would certainly like. A pretty bad joke, because Epic is more of a emergency shelter. Maybe our Jucy didn't like it. For a capital city an amazingly small offer of Caravanparks. Still a star for the look.

Great! Our villa was modern, clean and had everything we needed. The park was family friendly with plenty to do on site. The staff were friendly. It was a fabulous location central to all the main attractions. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Not bad for families. Friendly staff who are very helpful. The higher priced cabins are very good. They have several bbq areas and recreational areas. They advertise free internet but its very limited and only a token so they can say they offer it.

Thanks to Rebecca the assistant manager for making our stay really enjoyable and memorable. Stayed with my wife and 4 kids. Everything was great and exceeded my expectations. Will be back again.

Staff are friendly. Isabelle was particularly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed in the Ridge View Cabin. Clean and tidy. Smoking permitted outside of cabin. Nice sized playground. Pool is not heated so to cold during winter to swim. The resturant had great food at a great price, kids under 6 are for free with paying adult. Very family friendly. Cabin bathroom is quite small but fine for a couple of days. Will be upgrading to the 2 bedroom villa for our next stay as we are bringing an extra guest. Happy to recommend Alivio Tourist Park.

Good place for a short stay. Though split cycle air con wasn't working so well. Only seemed to work on one function (all or nothing) and when we went to change the temperature the machine turned off and we ended up with a freezing cabin by 4am (not great in the middle of winter! ). Didn't stay long enough to check out all the facilities, though the cabin had enough to suit our needs (small kitchen, microwave). Need to BYO hair dryer. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Place is easy to find and not far from the centre of Canberra.

Nicely done warm cabins, comfy beds and decent bathrooms in the premium cabins. I stayed here because it was a last minute booking and much of Canberra was sold out, but I enjoyed my stay. I'd def stay again, alivio is only a short drive from civic and it's nice staying amongst the trees overlooking a reserve. perhaps during summer this place would be crawling with kids and the pool looks like it would be very popular.

Cheap, but nice accommodation. In close proximity to the National Convention Center. Only a couple of minor issues with the room, but these would be easily fixed. I love that it's not all concrete, you know you're in the bush with lots of gardens and trees visible throughout the park.

Had a very lovely stay in one of the Villas. The staff were welcoming and the villa was amazing. So so clean, beautifully furnished and big. Have stayed in a lot of places this trip and for the money this has been the nicest so far. Nice little playground, well kept grounds and such a beautiful setting. Will definitely stay again.

Wow! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I accidentally left my glasses in the cabin and Tom found them for me, wrapped them carefully in tissue paper and bubble wrap, and posted them to me. What amazing service. We had a wonderful stay, loved the big pool and spa. Will come back.

This place is awful! Restaurant hugely overpriced and four tastes like a toddler made it. Rooms extremely dirty and smell terrible. Items from my washbag stolen by the cleaners and reception refused to help me get them back! Horrendous experience.

Terrible — belongings stolen by cleaners and staff refused to help. Think twice before booking here. I checked out in a rush and left clothes on my bed. I realised an hour later and called reception to get them back thinking it would be straightforward. It wasn't — they said there was no trace of them (meaning housekeeping must have stolen them, which they didn't seem at all bothered about). They were extremely rude saying it 'wasn't their problem' and refused to refer me to a manager or the cleaning company so I could solve the problem. I've never come across such terrible service, particularly from the manager Simone Mckenzie.

Amenities and facilities were all first class. Pool was large and catered to big and little children. Very clean and staff were friendly. Only used a powered site but catered to our needs perfectly.

This Park was a great find. We had family from overseas with us and then were also very impressed with motel rooms we had. They were clean and furnished very nicely. We enjoyed having the Cafe/Bar for a meal. We DID NOT feel like getting into the car and driving any further! It was great to relax on the deck overlooking the Pool with a drink following tea. While the bathroom was a little dated it too was clean and the shower was heaven. Even though there was a school group also staying here it was quiet and a great nights sleep was had by all. We really enjoyed our short stay and will stay again when we next travel to Canberra.

Stayed in a wattle glen cabin over the weekend. The main bedroom was very small. Not much room between the end of the bed and the wall. There were 3 coat hangers in the small wardrobe in the main bedroom. No wardrobe in the 2nd room. Was disappointed that there was no seating area outside.

Stayed there for one night. All the beds are very filthy. Lots of hair and marks in the bed. Seems like Shampoo, lotion, coffee tea been there for ages. Also feel like it is bit pricy. Heating system is good.

Had a 2brm villa (Wattle Glen). Extremely small, the smallest 2brm cabin I have ever encountered. One 3 seater lounge and a 4 seat dining table in the living area. No bedside tables in the rooms as could not fit. In fact very little room to put anything on. The initial cabins shown on the website are premium and the ones for Wattle Glen benefit from the fish eye camera. Too small for a family of 5 let alone 6. Despite advertising NO FREE Wi-Fi. I could pick it up on my phone but when I asked for a password was told it was out and wouldn't be working for the duration of our stay (3 days). False advertising with no concern. On a brighter note the restaurant was good value for money and the pool area very nice. Cost was very high for the standard of accommodation. Wouldn't go back.

Simple, well priced, organised, and very clean! Would definitely stay here again.

Handy location. Close enough to the city, plenty of bike paths and walking/running tracks nearby. Kids playground is good. Cabin was clean. Air conditioner, hot water, TV all working fine. At time of review, Wifi is heavily advertised but is not working. "Being upgraded, " they say. Misleading, as they know it's not working and continue to have it as a selling point.

I was a bit nervous about booking here after reading the bad reviews but I have to say it was fantastic. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in one of there deluxe 2 bedroom cabins and it was great. The cabin was exactly as described and looked in the photos. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the heating, hot water (shower was divine) and the bed was super comfortable. The cabin was very clean and tidy and I loved the added addition of the nespresso coffee machine with 6 free pods. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was great to be able to order a takeaway meal from the park restaurant to eat in our cabin after arriving later in the evening. I will definitely be staying here again when next in Canberra.

If you have ever watched any movie or TV show that depicts a "resort" and I use the term loosely here in a bad way they may have had this place in mind. Where do I start. No Wi-Fi as advertised so maybe I should have thought twice about booking in before I did (won't make that mistake again). The room was not very inviting and the TV was as big as a computer screen. And not all channels were accessible. There was an air conditioner and a heater (with a sign that said do not sit on it. Too late some one already had before we got there). At breakfast the next day when we went to use the frypan some one had used it before us and it was still wearing the scars from the previous occupants meal (Thankfully Tom the manager gave us a new one). So it was on to the showers and with the weather so cold it would have been a good way to warm up. Unfortunately all I got was 2nd degree burns and then freezing cold water. The water temp took turns to burn and soothe with roughly a 30 second turn around between each one. Eventually after 2 minutes of this I got the picture and fled the bathroom. If my grandson had been in the shower first it would definitely have been a trip to the burns unit at Canberra hospital. The one saving grace for the place was the food. The salmon was great as was the chicken schnitzel. But that's all the place had going for it. Drop by for the food I say but stay at your own risk.

Good: The graphics design of the signs, brochures and maps. Bad: Everything else. Dirty, rusty, heavily used up interior, ants in bedroom and kitchen, loud air conditioner, obviously not cleaned careful enough, Wi-Fi not working. A disgusting and awful experience.
