Gainesville Hotels

I stayed at the Sweetwater Inn for a wedding weekend. The buildings are cozy, have historical character, and are clean. Parking on site was easy, and the location is walkable to downtown Gainesville.

The inn is walking distance to restaurants and shops as well as federal buildings if needed. The grounds are so adorable and the Victoria Cottage was absolutely darling!

We stayed here with three of our children while we were in Gainesville for our nephews graduation.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and truly focused on making my visit comfortable.

This was one of the best stays that I’ve ever experienced out of 1000 stays in hotels I have stayed in. Natashua is most definitely 1 of the top reasons why my stay was so amazing!

Front desk attendant was very nice and accommodating as I was early seeking a check in. The room was spacious and accommodating.

My sister had a liver transplant at Shands Cancer Hospital. Your hotel is right across to the hospital because this is where the families of the patients stay.

My 3 day stay exceeded expectations. Dominic welcomed us at Valet parking with a smile. He helped with getting luggage rack & unloading my car.

I would give this 5 stars except the breakfast was horrible and our showerhead sucked. Took 10 min for water to get warm and the water came out with only few trickles.

My boyfriend & I stayed for just one night 12/20-12/21 at the 1/2 way point going home from our trip. The hotel was very nice, clean & beautifully decorated for Christmas.

On a whim, we decided to break up our trip and stay here. I’m so glad we did. Everything was great from the pre-checkin to the cleanliness of the room, the value, and the provided breakfast.

Location convenient and within walking distance of food and banks! Nice view and extremely clean rooms. The service was quick and readily available.

I’ve stayed at Hampton Inn Gainesville, 4225 SW 40th Blvd, for the past couple of months while traveling on business.

One of the nicest cleanest and most updated Hampton’s we’ve stayed at in a long time and we travel often.

This place is absolutely amazing! The people that work here as a friendliness the kindness is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are cute and they have so much Charm definitely give five stars.

This is the best hidden (hotel) gem in Gainesville. It's really more of a AirBnB compound than a hotel in that there's no central lobby and check-in/check-out is all done via text message.

We recently had a nice stay there. We frequently stay in Gainesville to be near UF Health Shands. This was our first stay in that hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was great.

Nice quiet place that meets our one night stay needs to go to a gymnastics meet at the Alachua Rec Center. Free popcorn and cookies for the kids was a plus as well.

Exceeded expectations for the one night, the price was middling but we had two queen beds, which were super comfy with 4 pillows per bed. There was a fridge and microwave in the room.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on a vacation, but would not hesitate to book a longer stay. The hotel is VERY clean and comfortable, and we got a great rate despite making a night-of reservation.

This property feels magical. We are currently staying in the Gardenia room on the 2nd story of the main house. We are in town for the NHRA Gatornationals.

Had one of the detached u its full of beautiful antique furniture, 2 working fireplaces and lots of charm. Breakfast was home made and delicious.

Charles provided 10/10 customer service. I had an issue on my end and he helped resolve it quickly. He was incredibly helpful, kind, and made the whole experience easy and stress free.

This place is beautiful! Right off the highway and tucked away perfectly. The staff and manager are the best! The rooms are immaculate and smell amazing.

Positive: It is super clean the staff is very nice and helpful. They keep the ground such as pool and hot tub working and clean. Has room service just wonderful.

Come here for conferences every year and always delivers. Monique and Nike take great care of their guests. Easy parking, good location, clean room, no complaints.

The rooms are on the small side, but very comfortable and nice. The bar area seems to be busy/popular at night time.

Clean rooms, decent location and okay price. The hotel is also dog friendly with a small pet fee, so it is worth checking out if you're bringing fido. Overall 4.5/5.

We had the most relaxed and amazing stay here. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and in particular I would like to thank Alice in the dining room.

A beautiful and welcoming upscale-feeling hotel in the heart of Celebration Pointe.

If you're visiting Gainesville this is a great hotel to stay at. Conveniently located off Archer road but hidden back in celebration point.

It’s a great hotel in a great location in downtown Gainesville. Less than a mile walk to the stadium and the arena at UF. Great rooms with a luxury looking bathroom and super comfortable bed.

Location was perfect. If you’re visiting campus, it’s a very close walk right across the street. The rooms were very clean and staff was friendly. The rooms are very noisy though.

We stayed for the weekend while in town visiting family. The hotel was just what we expected.

The rooms are not well serviced. Lots of hairs alone the sides of the shower… around the sink and the counter… if you like using the pots/pans, those were totally not cleaned.

The young man who checked us in was very polite and made me and my wife feel good about staying here. The rooms are wonderful, clean and up to date on style.

The room was big, comfortable, and fairly clean. I wasn't a fan of the layout—the bed faces the shower directly, and while the sink is located outside the bathroom, the counter space is very tiny.

Our family’s stay at the Hyatt downtown Gainesville was next to perfect!

Just got back from a great stay at Hyatt Place Gainesville Downtown, and I’ve got to say… it delivered.
The location is the biggest win.

Sheri has been such a blessing to our family during an incredibly difficult time. We are in town while our daughter is in the PICU, and what should be simple logistics have felt overwhelming.

Friendly service! Clean room and perfect price. We arrived just as the power in the whole area went out due to a car accident down the street. Everyone that worked there were so friendly, so helpful.

Staff were all great, Michael made check-in great, answered lots of questions with a smile, and Daniella was very helpful on check out. Cleaning staff were all great as well.

Excellent stay! Rooms are clean and comfy. Alex and Daniella both provided lovely service with a smile. Checked in late and was greeted warmly by Alex.

The hotel was nice, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was also really nice, and the free breakfast was definitely a plus.

This was our first visit to HOM while in Gainesville for appointments at UF Shands Hospital.

When I was a kid, the Holiday Inn wasn't a great brand. It was utilitarian. This is a really nice hotel and the location is impossible to beat.

Our stay here at this hotel was fantastic. They took our Model United Nations club at school and hosted us very nicely. The rooms and the lobby were very clean and comfortable.
