Reviews of Shearwater's Explorers Village 3*
Amazing time in SEV. Stayed one night in the doom tent. Beds were quite comfortable for what they are and I had good sleep ;) the showers and bathrooms for the doom tents are communal a d a few meters from the tents and clean. Spent the second night In their chalets and absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and chatty and always there to help when need. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Vic falls.
What an amazing place to stay. Camping in style felt like another country. Highly recommended.

First, you're deep in the heart of Zimbabwe if you stay here. You're walking distance to all the best local shops, but be careful as some might appear a little overbearing while trying to get a sale from you. As for the staff, they couldn't be more helpful and willing to make the best experience for you. They have many packages for adventures and excursions, they are very knowledgeable, and it is easy to get excited when they describe the experiences to you. The bar and restaurant is a little different than what I'm used to, being a New Yorker, but I respect and admire the relaxed environment and the comfort of the staff extending their efforts to help make my meals the best they can be. I stayed in the camping grounds area, which possibly one of the nicest I've been in along my journey through Africa. The shower areas were always being cleaned, there was an outdoor kitchen area with outlets, and the general camping grounds were of a very safari-chic design/modern with an accent and take on the culture. If I'm back around, it will be among my first thought when I'm looking for a place to stay.
