Lovely quiet place, great staff, good watering hole, saw elephants, giraffe and other antelope from our room. Then the best was having dinner with elephants drinking water right in front of up. Beautiful rustic lodges too. Really great stay. Worth every penny.
The staff is so amazing, your are realy in the African atmosfeer. Good cooking and if you've chance, an African show in the evening.

Our stay at Gwango Heritage was quite amazing. The Resort is secluded, but still very accessible by road and near the Hwange National Park. We booked the Deluxe Chalets which are beautifully furnished while not taking too much away from that "bush feeling" flair. Our only problem was the water pressure in the shower now and again. As for the Gobelo Bar & Grill, the food is excellent with my only real gripe being the amount of food they stock. We went there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they always seemed to have run out of something different or were still out of stock. I can understand that the resort if far away from the next town, but there are always solutions. Last, but not least, the Game Drive we took was probably the highlight of our entire Zimbabwe trip. From being mere meters away from Lions, to the very interesting and informative game drive, I think we got our moneys worth. Roger is hands down the best Guide I've had on a Safari, we even invited him for a drink at Gobelo and spent the evening chatting. All in all, I think Gwango is an excellent Lodge and I look forward to coming back in the future and seeing the development. I admire the work being put in, not just at the resort, but on the entire estate.
