Ganda Lodge

My husband and I enjoyed our time at Ganda. It was as we expected, budget accommodation but had everything we needed, rooms were clean and comfortable and the location to the National Park was very close. The staff were very welcoming and attended to our every needs, including providing us ice to keep our Esky cool as well as a kettle so we could make tea/coffee at night/morning. The rooms were warm without AC but managed with the fan.
The property itself was cute and relaxing.
We loved how the animals would come down, particularly of an evening, we came back from the park to find an elephant having around, it was very majestic and on the second night a giraffe came to visit.

We loved being back at Ganda! Our third visit to the lodge and as ever it provided warm hospitality, an incredible spot for wildlife to gather around the water hole and cosy evenings by the fire pit. The staff can’t do enough for you and food was delicious at dinner.

This was our 3rd visit to Ganda Lodge and yet again it provided the ideal base to soak up the wonderful wildlife of Hwange. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. If you don’t have time to go in to the National Park, don’t worry, the wildlife will come to you! They flock to the waterhole every evening — the perfect setting for sundowners. We will be back!

After traveling in a cramped van for hours, it was amazing to be greeted with ice-cold mimosas in the parking lot at Ganda! I know right away that this would be a different kind of stay. From then on things got even better. The food was great, the campfires every night were amazing, and the chalets were super comfortable and came equipped with everything from hot water to mosquito nets. The manager — Kevin — even took it upon himself to be our guide when we went on a game drive! I can’t say enough about the degree to which Kevin, Phati, Tatenda and the rest of the Ganda team went the extra mile to make sure we had the stay of a lifetime. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge and will stay there every time I visit 🇿🇼.

Ganda is in Sikumi Forest, next to Hwange Park (with no fences). It is not far from the Safari Lodge on the road to Main Camp. An easy drive into Hwange Park.
The lodges are being renovated, and very well (see photos). All lodges overlook the bush and Pan. Clean and comfortable. The reception and dining area are beautiful, open plan and cool! It is licensed.
Unlike other venues, it is small so no chance of crowding. The staff are very hospitable and provide lovely meals! Well done Kelvin and Privilege keep the dream alive!
The waterhole attracts animals all day, and lights enabled us to see Spring Hares and white-tailed mongoose and other at night.
In a quandary writing a review. It is great, but selfishly glad not many know about it. Will visit again!

While this camp isn't the fanciest camp. The staff are fantastic and the food plentiful and homely.
Staff couldn't do enough for us and any issues raised were dealt with promptly and cheerfully.
Food was delicious and homemade with lovely starter, lovely main course and a dessert for dinner. With plenty of food.
Gorgeous location just on the edge of a pan so we could watch animals (would be even more amazing in the dry season).
