These two cottages tucked away in a garden are just what you might need if you need peace. We spent a couple of nights in the larger cottage’ which suited us after two busy days at a conference, when all we wanted was to pop a ready-made meal into the microwave and sit on the terrace with a glass of wine.
A novelty for some might be the showers, which are open to the light under a cassia tree, though still private and enclosed.
The hosts are hospitable and helpful, there if you need them, but a breakfast of muesli, fruit, yoghurt and muffins is already in your room. We treated ourselves to breakfast in bed! But if you want a cooked breakfast, find another lodge.
