Love Sunbird for its ease of use. Clean, quiet, unpretentious. Easy access to the main Harare airport and a decent shopping precinct for a good restaurant and cafe. Staff are great. Also nice and secure and safe. Hot water worked as did Wi-Fi and electricity so decent basics are in place.

I highly recommend Sunbird Guest House — friendly, hospitable host. Clean, comfortable rooms, delicious meals.

Loved the covered porch from which to enjoy a cup of tea and watch the birds in the backyard, bed was big & comfortable, beautiful parquet floors and well-furnished living room, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! We were the only guests that night. Everyone who works here was very helpful and the owner, Ant, is knowledgeable and a great host! We stayed here the night before we took off for a week in one of Manapools. Com camper trucks.

Had an excellent stay at Sunbird. It was recommended to me and now I know why. I had a lovely room in the house. It was clean, bright and comfortable. The lounge area was also very comfortable with a great view over the beautiful gardens. The service, advice and help I received was excellent. And they do a great breakfast to set you up for the day. Ant and the team were very easy to deal with and eager to help. Wi-Fi was also good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sunbird Guesthouse in Greendale, Harare. I stayed for 6 nights while I did a memory lane visit to Harare. I booked the studio apartment which suited my every need. The studio is in a section separate from the main house which offered extra space and additional privacy, but I enjoyed the interaction over breakfast with guests in the main house as they were returning from, or on their way to, various safari destinations. The staff were most kind and helpful as I had come to experience generally in Zimbabwe and breakfasts were beautifully presented by Godfrey. The main house has a home-from-home atmosphere with the most delightful safari-like garden – look out for the birdlife and chameleon/s. I would most definitely recommend Sunbird Guesthouse and very much hope to return in the future. Thank you to Ant and your team!

Conveniently located for travellers. Easy access to shops and in a very pleasant part of town. Facilities are very comfortable, and an excellent breakfast prepared by Chris.

I spent 3 nights here when first arriving in Zimbabwe and it was delightful. My host, Ant, was charming and helpful and Trymore and the rest of the staff were pleasant and cheery. My room with attached bathroom was comfortable and clean. The back porch was a wonderful spot to watch birds and the Food Market down the road was a great place to pick up a salad and supplies. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for seven nights and it was just great. The place is very private, safe and clean and the staff just wonderful. Thanks so much, we felt at home — and will certainly come back next year!

The guest house associated with Ant Bown’s Manapools tourism services could not be more homey and comfortable. We stayed in the cottage, which is extremely roomy and was spotless. We also appreciated the reliable hot water, Internet, and electric power, as well as the lovely garden. Best of all is the extraordinarily high level of service provided by Ant and his crew.

Truly you will be so lucky to stay at the sunbird. We were welcomed by the host which was so appreciated. The most sensational stay and delicious breakfasts each morning (thank you Godfrey). Highly recommended we will be back.

We have had a great time in Zimbabwe. Ant and his team were very helpful and competent, everything was organized well and so we could quietly enjoy our stay. We also were greatful for the flexibility and the accommodating atmosphere, we could really feel at home. Zimbabwe is a beautiful destination and we could, despite heavy econimical problems for Zimbabwean people, experience many friendly and cordial contacts.

A great place to stay in a nice suburb of Harare. We have stayed at Sunbird several times and it never disappoints. The accommodation is very comfortable and set in well maintained gardens. The staff are all great. We have no hesitation in recommending Sunbird and will continue to stay there each time we visit Harare. We love sadza! 😁
