Rest Guest House

Perfectly and conveniently located in the capital, rooms could do with less mosquitos and a wide variety of channels on the TV.

Located near the highway which is convenient. And yet still secluded if you want privacy. Staff was friendly. They accommodated me for my different language than theirs.

Welcoming staff, rooms are clean though you have your bathroom and toilet in a cubicle in the same bedroom for some rooms. The toilets are cleaned well but have a poor drainage system. For some reason the geyser keeps having problems so you end up bathing with cold water. No air fresheners in the rooms.

The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend for a large group needing to attend something at Zimbabwe Agricultural Showgrounds. It is within walking distance.

Too much cockroaches every where at all rooms from Ground floor to first floor. Though rooms look clean night it becomes play ground for cockroaches. Not worth it.

Poor customer service. I needed a place to stay near showgrounds so I called them to ask about their check in time and they said 10am. I got there with my lagguage, exhausted, I just wanted to check in and rest. The lady at the reception was so rude she started interrogating me about why I had showed up before the check in time which is 12pm 🤦‍♀️. I told her that I called and someone said check in is 10 am. She just shrugged off her shoulders and started tiding up the reception area as if I wasnt in the room.
I instantly left the premises because I couldn't take such disrespect. I just needed somewhere decent to rest. Luckily, just a block away there is Island Lodge. The staff there is so professional, great customer care and its so neat. I love the garden, it's so refreshing.

Very glossy but lacks class.
This venue also has self catering apartments apparently.
There is a kitchen on site, but meals are only prepared for specific functions or events there, or specially ordered in advance.
The food is NOT HALAAL.
A Decent option if you are stranded and seeking a rest in a safe secure environment.
They are very new and have a lot of time to sort out teething issues. Standards have to be upheld, or risk becoming another dirty little lodge like AQUA lodge.
The facilities (ie) the ensuite bathrooms, the floor tiles and the room furniture and decor is due for an update.
Very friendly staff.
