We have just spent the weekend at The Selbourne Hotel. The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfy beds, great size room, huge balcony over looking City Hall. In my opinion the nicest Hotel in Bulawayo. The service from the staff was superb, friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautiful and we had a swim in the pool, nice and refreshing in the mid day heat. The rooms also had a new air conditioning system which was great. The location is perfect opposite city hall, with restaurant and bars close by. I would recommend staying The Selbourne when staying on Bulawayo.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed. It’s a very old hotel, very poorly renovated, basically ruined with ugly renovation. The owner of this hotel is incompetent and knows nothing about hotel business. There were no towels in the room and I had to ask for them two times. I think that actual pictures will tell you more.
Don’t waist you time, don’t stay in this fugly place.

We had nearly three weeks in this extremely well run Hotel. Rooms and housekeeping were wonderful. Christine and Ashley could not have been more friendly, efficient and helpful. A beautifully kept garden with a clean refreshing swimming pool. Right in the centre of Bulawayo. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Recently renovated, it’s basically a brand new hotel! Their service is incredible, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. It’s located in town so everything is easily accessible and there is plenty of parking space.

I had the pleasure to stay at the Selborne Hotel in February 2022. Christine Rukanda, the Selborne Hotel manager & her staff ensured my stay was memorable. Located in the City Centre, meant I could walk to my business meetings, and daily enjoy elements of the Bulawayo city life. My room was delightful, with a spacious balcony augmenting the private living area. The hotel caters for vegetarian meals, and I sampled delicious dishes of traditional foods such as sadza and fresh greens. Highly recommended.

Christine showed us all around the hotel and it was magnificent! The ballroom was incredible, as was the garden! The rooms were incredibly clean and many have balconies overlooking one of the main streets allowing you to peacefully take in the sights of Bulawayo.
