Unik studio Apartments

I stayed in the one bedroom apartment at Unik Studios and the hosts were present, communicative and very helpful. The property is set on a mini compound of other apartments/Airbnb's and is very safe. Electricity power cuts are not so much of an issue as power only went out an average of once a week for a few hours (a feat for Lusaka).
This being said, the place is best suited to those who will not need to be home much as the apartment itself is yet to be given a final touch. Any steady rainfall of over 30 minutes results in massive flooding in the kitchenette/sitting room thus making the house perpetually smell damp.
It is also NOT centrally located and in the rainy season, after steady rainfall, access is cut off because there is a river that overflows and is impassable. The hosts are helpful about this and have an arrangement with an opposite neighbour of theirs who doesn't get affected by this issue, so guests can walk through their yard to get to Unik Studios.
Lastly, in my month long stay, the sink leaked and made the area underneath smell vile. The hosts were helpful and responsive when I complained both times, however, solutions were short term and I just had to make do.
Despite all these cons, I still recommend this place for it's warm, friendly, Zambian atmosphere, and endless mango fruits.

Unique place indeed, very neat place and warm welcome from hosting couple n the staff. I will definitely recommend these apartments to everyone who wishes to have a relaxing visit in Lusaka, Zambia.

Terrible place … the studio itself is ok but the location and area it is found can scare you out… and worse no generator when the power cut.
