It is beautifully designed (especially inside), a well secured hotels and a good place to hold an Event.

InterContinental Lusaka is one of the most out standing five star hotels in Zambia. It's at very good location, good reception, their staff are so overwhelming/ welcoming, excellent hospitality and their Intercontinental dishes are mind blowing.

The atmosphere is relaxing and the ambiance is smoothing. It's a beautiful place.

It is one of the best hotels there is in Lusaka. There are several restaurants and it is close to many government institutions.

Skeleton Crew. According to comparable structures regionally the Intercontinental is now something of an Old Lady. The hotel recently changed hands and the owners have ambitious plans for modernisation. Unfortunately this means the hotel has that feel of the calm before the storm. The hatches have been battened down and everyone is in a holding pattern. It's a shame as the food here was once a delight and the lunch crowd was sizeable. Nowadays at lunch you can hear a pin drop. Give them time to do their upgrades otherwise take it off your list for the time being.

Awesome and relaxing… excellent service all together. Enjoyed my few hours of sleep, wish I could stay there a bit longer…

Great hosts and very accommodating. Hosted a cocktail dinner and were up to standard with service. Food wasn't that great though.

Deeply disappointed with this hotel which is overpriced and doesn't come up to the standards you expect for a 5* hotel. While the service from staff was polite, the infrastructure is crumbling and I suffered multiple problems: firstly with my electronic key not working multiple times ("a problem with the system, Sir"), then with only half a menu available in the restaurant ("we're redoing it, Sir"), then with the lightbulb in the bathroom literally exploding and almost catching on fire at midnight ("a short circuit, Sir"). They changed my room, but then there was no mains power in the new room meaning I couldn't charge my phone before an intercontinental flight the next day ("there was a switch to turn everything on, Sir, but it's not easy to find"). When I complained about the crumbling infrastructure, I was simply told there's a renovation programme and they're aware of the problems. If that's the case, then how on earth can they justify the extortionate nightly rates? I didn't even get a discount for all the hassle. Overall a shabby experience — this place clearly needs a thorough overhaul.

Nice hotel. The experience from airport pick up, check in up to check out was really top class. The staff were courteous and effecient, but hey, this is the The Intercontinental Hotel. Will definitely be back there soon, God willing.

Substantial decline in the amenities and general upkeep. Rooms were dirty and ill kept.

Great hotel and always a pleasure visiting here. The standards are high and the levels of service always good. They do look after their IHG rewards member and one feels very special. They offer free Hotel shuttles to and from the airport if advised on booking your stay upfront. Give us I try on your next visit to Lusaka, Zambia.

I'm here for 7 days and every day I call to service to fix the problem with the Internet. Every time the Internet is disconnected. Don't use the Wi-Fi in this hotel. The service for the rooms is OK. The bath is very small and does not allow to shower to big guys. The price for me was too much versus the benefit that I got.

Very wonderful food. I went there to taste there cuisine and I wasn't disappointed at all!

The conference rooms are clean and well conditioned including the bathrooms. The food is excellent and the place carters for persons with disabilities.

Had a very elegant feel to it. The environment is lovely to entertain guests.

A little bit of a boring place but has good restaurants and friendly service. The rooms could use some sprucing up. Outdoor area and pool are really pretty. Also not too pricy. Has cute curio ahop and men's clothing store as well as a bridal shop in the smaller lobby. Great venue for functions like workshops, small conferences, weddings, product launches etc and very efficient staff. French Marketimg manager who was there two years ago lit a fire in the place but it has since gone from an 8 to a 5 out of 10 since he left. Otherwise not a bad place to stay or hang out at all.

Rosso (intercontinental) has probably the best pizzas in Lusaka. Sitting next to the pool and with silent crowd, this could also be the most peacefull restaurant.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It's a great place to stay if you are on vacation or visiting Zambia. With its top class services and beautiful interior you will feel comfortable and almost like you are apart from the outside world. It also has a nice pool and great food!

Great place and wonderful staff, breakfast left nothing to be desired. Everything you can thing of was ready at 6am. Another night here is just what I need after a long trip from the states.
