Very Bad Experience! 1 — fleas (or some other insect) in the bed 2 — someone entered in the room when we were out. We left curtains of the big window opened and we founded them closed when we came back. 3 — we deal for a price and at the time of payment they threaten to don't give me back the passport if I don't pay the double. Of course we don't get any receipt. He also take a picture of my passport to (he said) block me in case I do a bad review. 4 — They try to sell us the cruise trying to cheat us in different way. Luckly we accept other offer in the tourist office. Bus from Sapa stops in front of this Hostel early in the morning. Pay attention and stay far from them!

Not very cheap thus not very clean. Staff is not very helpfull and thay take a lot of money on tour reservations! I would not stay there again.

If you want this post before your booking : you're very lucky!
Don't trust the manager of this hostel, for everything : it's a crook (he just interesting by you're cash).
If you want to book for something (bus, cruise, motorbike or something else), serch an other solution.
Besides, staff is uncompetent : sleeping in the reception ot playing smartphone, can't speak english and don't how to work a scale (for lundry) …
Only one good thing : the room was good if you except the bathroom.
if you want to book, run and find an other hostel!

We have got ripped off. First we waited 40 minutes for someone who could tell us if there was still room. There wasn't. Then the guy brought us to an other hotel of his. We got a room (in a new building) which wasn't even finished for guest. It smelled terribly like paint. He promised us it would be great, near the centre, beautifull view (that all wasn't even a bit true) and we could stay 2 nights. Since everything cousted a lot of time and it was late, we took the bait. Second day he told us at 6 o clock in the evening we had to share the room, which we never agreed to. When we said this was not Wait he promised he said we could check out trew my passport at me and walked away saying nothing since we already paid. What a horrible person and a terrible experience. Don't fall for it.

At bai chay… super duper cheap. 5 usd per night. Medium clean with very minimum facilities…

The rooms were beautiful, modern and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but only the manager speaks good English. We would book this hotel again.

We booked a transfer to Cat Ba with the tour operation agency. It was a mess, so don't do it. We arrived early in the morning with a sleeping bus and they made profit out of our tiredness. We paid 12$ for a taxi and speed boat which at the end wasn't any advantage because in Cat Ba harbour we had to wait for the public transport because, so the agency said, we didn't pay for the transport to the city. Actually my boyfriend asked especially for the transport to the city…

Rooms are big and pretty clean. Bathrooms old and not the cleanest. The holder for the shower was broken. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and french fries and bread for 2 days in a row. But the staff is really kind and friendly. Good value for money.

然後車子經過直接攔下，還直接跟司機在講價
（正常情況是會有專車到旅館接人到巴士站直接上車所以很明顯他們也沒有事先預訂車票）

The result actually did not take me to the bus station but a big road
Then the car stopped directly after, but also directly with the driver bargaining
(Under normal circumstances there will be a car to the hotel access to the bus station directly on the bus so it is clear they did not book a ticket in advance)

Room is good, clean, have many tour but sometimes we need to tell them service the room.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But the staff never asked for our passport which felt irresponsible. We also saw a huge flying cockroach outside our room. And then we saw another one in the reception. We tried to explain to the guy at the reception but he didn't seem to understand. Some of them could speak some English though.

Do not book a tour with this hotel, is a scam. I repeat, do not book it. They will show you 1 boat but when you arrive to the harbour they will take you to a speed boat in order to get the main boat in the middle of nowhere. Things that happened to us: — No free food — No free drinks (and all of them are overpriced) -No rooms for all of us and they tell us that is our problem -No outdoor activities So I repeat, do not book anything at all with this hotel for your own good.

Absolutely disgusting! We stayed in the hotel for one night which was okay for the price. If you are after help and advice I suggest forgetting this hotel altogether as the staff sleep most of the time and cannot speak very good English. But my main issue was the tour I booked through the hotel. DO NOT BOOK A TOUR THROUGH THIS HOTEL I repeat do not book a tour through this hotel! My friend and I went on a one night on boat tour we were put on three different boats our final boat was so messy from the group before us, everything was in organised, no free beer as promised, no drinks of any sort to buy we had to jump over to our boat neighbours and buy the drinks in their fridge. The toilets were gross (I didn't expect much from them but they were truly disgusting) The food was okay! However a vegetarian was left hungry as they didn't recognise her dietary requirement even though she told them in advance. The activities we were promised were non exsistent! No cooking class, no cave exploring, no thaichi, no fishing & no swimming. It was honestly one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had in my life.

Liars! Trying to scam with selling tours and charging more than 4x the amount. Trying to intimidate you and are only about the money!

Hotel run by kids for a travel group.

Rooms are amazing, clean, nice sheets and comfy pillows. Clean bathroom. My room was the front facing room with huge open concept windows. Nice sunset view. My only complaint with this hotel is the service. The staff are completely disorganized. We stayed one night with no complications. However, the next day after we had already paid for another night stay and were out walking around Halong Bay the staff drove up to us on a motor bike and said we must switch rooms. A little annoyed we came back and spoke to them. They made no efforts to mend the mistake, or compensate for the hassle. So many beautiful hotels down the street, seriously every building in the near two block radius is a hotel, so don't fret and find somewhere else near by.

Didn't actually stay here, but as they also did tours and transport services, I booked my bus to Minh Binh from here, then at the appointed time the bus didn't show up!. So I waited and waited, then a taxi rocks up to take me to the bus station — on asking nobody knew if it was to the public bus station, if so this wasn't the service I had paid for. So I walked around to the Four Season office, to find out from the guy who sold me the ticket, what's going on? To which he offered for me to catch the bus from the marina, an half hours drive in the opposite direction. The plan was a bit sketchy, so I ask him to send the next bus at 1.50 pm to pick me up — a five hour wait! After which he started — on asking more questions — with arms folded in front — it was "I don't want to talk anymore" seriously!, After giving such crap service, no apologies, and now you want to "stone wall me"? Then finds out there are actually no mini buses leaving for Ninh Binh till the afternoon anyway. In the morning mini buses make the rounds in Ninh Binh in the morning bringing tourist to Halong City, then return with tourists heading to Ninh Binh in the afternoon.
