Nice hotel. Close to the beach.

Was such a nice place to escape to after the hustle and bustle we had in Ho Chi Minh. Although it is a little bit outside of Hoi An they offer you a car/minivan service which will take you to and from multiple times per day.
we were greeted at the door by Au and he instantly made us feel welcomed.
Kieu and Ly were at reception most of our stay there and were always ready to help with any request
the staff here speaks very good English and are more then happy to help you book tours and find new places to explore.
The room was very clean with really good air con which made us very comfortable during the hotter hours of the day.
Overall I highly recommend this place if you want to have a relaxing stay.

Great service, nice rooms.

A stunning hotel just outside the town. The staff were lovely. They followed us to their private beach with towels and cushions for the sun loungers. My daughter celebrated her birthday while we were there. The staff found this out from her passport and left a beautiful birthday cake in the room for her. The rooms were beautiful and had stunning views of the beach and the river from the balcony. They even had a twice daily complementary bus service into the town centre. Well worth a visit great value for money.

No air conditition in hotel public areas. Most of the stuff didnt speak or even understood english at all. Location of the hotel sucks, there's actually nothing near the hotel. Two stars because room was nice.

A bit underpriced for the excellent service we received during our stay. Our room was clean and spacious. Big pool. Private beach just across the hotel and great seafood restaurants 5 mins away on foot. But the best of all is the staff. Each of them is very kind and helpful. We were well looked after and they went above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable. Their service is beyond excellent and I would definitely rate them 10 stars if I could.

We got an upgrade to suite however, kinda wish we didn’t accept the offer! ;) Room we booked was with timber floor which is to me cleaner and looks better. Suite with red carpet floor (very outdated) made me nervous when I step on the floor with bare feet. The whole main corridor always gave the smell of something old and wet, red carpet floor of course. Wish they could change this as soon as possible. Swimming pool is nice, beach is only cross the street. Service is good.

This resort is across from the beach and is within walking distance of some local restaurants and a spa. About 10 mins from the Old Town by either shuttle or taxi (100, 000 dong). We had an executive room for 4 nights which we would have rated 5 stars except the spa would not turn on and a lack of power points brings it down to 4.5 stars. The carpets clearly had not been vacuumed for some days. We ordered room service which was prompt, however our cream brulee had no burnt sugar coating and was not enjoyable. We did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast which we felt was a good selection and the egg station was great. Their coffee was undrinkable and when we ordered cappuchinos, they were even worse and as though adding salt to the wound, they had the hide to charge you extra for them. Staff walking around the dining room seemed to be trained to avoid eye contact with guests so you nearly had to stick your leg out to trap them. Many of the staff struggled with even basic requests in English. Dining 3 stars. The service at reception and the front door was excellent and the bar area enjoyable with a happy hour. Due to a hotel function and loud music and guests we were unable to sleep having to wear earplugs after midnight. Overall this place just did not feel like a resort or a place that you could wind down and relax.

Best hotel I stayed at in Vietnam — and I don't say that lightly. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and remembered my name, which made for very personal service. The room was gorgeous and I got upgraded to a river-view upon check in. I ate at the hotel restaurant once when I was too exhausted to go into the Old Town and the food was good — they were also mindful of my food allergy. Right across from a decent beach and cheap to get a taxi into the old town if you don't want to wait for the free shuttle bus. I wish I had stayed longer but they were fully booked so I could not extend my stay.

We have this evening (9th March) left the Muong Thanh Hoi An hotel as its a disgusting dirty hotel. The management need to take responsibility for the mess the hotel is in and stop leaving it up to the hotel reception team deal with.
We had 2 Executive Suites booked for 5 nights and could only tolerate the mess for 3 nights before it was too much.
In general the hotel corridors stink of damp and rubbish bins that aren't emptied for days at a time so it smells like a dump, however the suites we stayed in were the worst. We notified the hotel management the minute we walked into a "Non-Smoking" room that smelt like an ashtray and resembled one on the floor. (I have all the photos of the cigarette burns on furniture and the floor and will post them on Trip Advisor and will also be sending them onto booking dot com)
After 3 days they couldn't even clean the room properly or replenish items such as tea/coffee supplies or even the toilet paper… and they obviously struggle with using a vacuum cleaner because there was food (fried rice) from previous guest's under the coffee table and squished into the carpet all throughout the room.
To top it all off the "Sales Manager" who came to try and sort the mess out after 3 days couldn't decide if she was able to refund us anything or allow for us to be upgraded so we decided to leave the hotel.

Rooms not clean, supposed to be no smoking but our room smelled so much of cigarette smoke we had to ask for a oil diffuser. Bar staff couldn’t understand a simple order for a glass of wine and a margarita and came and told us 20 minutes later they couldn’t make it. Staff not helpful. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Nice comfortable stay. Breakfast was great. Rooms could be a bit cleaner.

A seaside hotel no more or less.

I like the hotel. Worth the price! We have the pool view and ocean view on the 4th floor.

Fabulous place everyone so friendly and helpful in a great location will definitely be back again nhi is such a lovely person shes really looked after us and the rest of staff. Our room is kept lovely and very clean thank you sang. Till next time thanks again xx.

Comfortable hotel, big rooms, good facilities, large pool, near beach.

The service is bad. I did not touch the minibar, but the reception said I took 2 beers. The service of spa was bad also, they told all the time during the massage.

Near the beach Have swimming pool Very far from Hoi An. It takes 15min to travel Room design is not good. Air conditioner is above the front door, so you will get hot in the corner Only one key per room. Breakfast is so-so Old billard table.

Good property, great staff. Really nice river plus sea view. However too small balconies and bad acoustics.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good for a quiet and peaceful recreation.

Suitable for a short stay in Hội An ancient city. The hotel needs an upscale.

Muong Thanh Hoi An Hotel is very cozy and comfortable. I spent 2 nights in there with my family and my colleagues' families. The first impression when I put my feet on the hotel's lobby is the landscape inside the hotel with 4 sets of tables and armchairs, a shopping corner with traditional products, a coffee zone with the view towards the outside swimming pool and a free-access internet area with two sets of computers. The hotel's staffs also friendly and professional. I am quite into the food in Tra Que Restaurant and the price is also acceptable. Because there're not too much people in there, I think this hotel is very suitable for those who want to relax, to relieve stress and to enjoy ocean environment. I surely will come back to this hotel if I have a chance.

I had nearly two weeks at Muong Thanh in late June 2015. The staff were exceptional — efficient, friendly and very professional. The establishment was clean all over and the room rates very affordable — the 100% occupancy when I left testifies to this. Food was great, bar service was very good, pool clean and big with ocean beach five minutes walk away. If I return to Hoi An I won't be staying any where else.
