I wouldn’t rent a bike from here. Unprofessional staff who fob you off with barely running (Yamaha) bikes. 100k per day 7am-8pm. In fact I don’t think there are any Honda’s for rent in this town, mechanics I tried wouldn’t let me hire their only Wave 110. I wasn’t told to bring the bike back the same day at all, no contract between us was signed and thankfully I didn’t hand over my passport as collateral for the bike. When I did bring the bike back the following day they were very confrontational and demanded another full day, I offered 50k as an apology and showed them the full tank I’d brought the bike back with. This seemed to spark an argument and I relented, sorely disappointed in the staff. Renter beware! Be careful getting gas anywhere, you will be overcharged by small shop owners by about 5k/l and the gas station tried to walk away with 500k thinking I was stupid enough to pay for 50k of gas with a 500k note. No shame when I asked him for my change, seemed a little disappointed if anything. As a whole I think Phong Nha needs a little room to grow, been in SEA for 6 months now and Phong Nha despite its’ beauty has left a bitter taste.
Let us check in at 4am and had a free breakfast. Room was very clean and had aircon and a fan. Good location on in the town. Staff were very helpful, we rented motorbikes and booked a bus to Hue. Would definitely return.
