Stayed here two nights. On arrival the gates were locked and we had a long confusing walk down a maze of alleyways to get to the bungalows. We then were stood in an empty reception for a good 10minutes trying to find someone! Once we had eventually checked in the room itself was very nice. Great aircon and a ceiling fan, seperate shower/toilet and a huge bed which had two choices of pillow thickness. The view at breakfast is stunning; breakfast choice is limited but is decent for what you are paying. Very isolated area but the scooter rental is dirt cheap for the day. Two of us rented one for 150, 000VND and had it from 11 till 6. The water here has a "drain like" smell to it which lingers in the bathroom and the toilet flush is very weak but things that can easily be overlooked for the price.

The view was good but we were given a room tucked away in the back with no view and construction/noisy children nearby. It was ok though and wasn't too noisy at night and the room was nice. We had dinner and breakfast here which were both okay. You stay here for the ambiance. Very difficult to get anywhere from the bungalow though.

Fantastic river view location, simply the best in town. Good restaurant. Amazing buffet breakfast included. Very nice bungalows.

No ventilation in the room aside from opening the door as neither the wall AC not the fan worked. The bathroom was chronically flooded and the toilet had awful smell. Unsafe connections in the shower! Family dinner was ok. Impossibly loud music both evening and morning. A very long hike from the nearest car arrival. This is a place for backpackers.

Great location next to the river. It is a bonus to enjoy a cuppa by the river. Having Quiet location within residential area, 5 mins walk from main road. Range of rooms to choose from. Staff was kind to pack breakfast for us as we had to leave before breakfast was served. Room was clean but wooden plank floors were squeaky and can be a little too loud. Was nice to be woken up by farm animals and pigs squealing. Be prepared to walk 5 mins into the accommodation as cars can't enter the area.

Situated right beside the river which many paid for the boat tour, it is a fine spot to chill and people watch. Room is so cosy I almost kissed the wall when using the toilet. Otherwise, my room was given away the first night due to my “late” arrival despite me informing them much earlier. Reason they gave was because I didn’t inform them I was arriving late and when I said I did, they said they didn’t receive my email which obviously they did because they replied to it. Only after pressing them about it did I manage to get a discount on the bike rental to 100k dong which is the standard rate.

Reasonable place if not for two things: The dorm bathrooms lead to the restaurant terrasse and the sinks are outside, which means you brush your teeth right in the middle of all the tables. They insist on keeping your passport held until checkout and keep them in a pile behind the counter. Extremely unsafe, noone should ever accept this.

Hotel well located away from city center, possible scooter rentals and friendly staff.

Horrible experience. We booked a night here. On arrival the hotel was inaccessible due to the rains. They had to ride in several motorcycles to my wife, to the suitcases and to me to be able to pass through streets waterlogged. It turns out that this was the only way to get in or out of the hotel, in other words, that in case of emergency it could have ended in catastrophe. Total, we picked up the suitcases and went to another hotel. That night it rained to sing, so I don't know how the subject would end. The hotel only cared about charging that night, not for our safety.

Great for backpackers! So helpfull to organize transfert, motorbike rent and excursion!

Nice place but one star for missing with reservation we booked with Agoda a room and arrived and they said they are overbooked and didn't give any advice before just sent us to another hotel where we have to wait another 2 hr to prepare room for us. Be careful with reservation there. Although place is quite nice.

Really nice place with lovely bungelows in Tam Coc (Ninh Binh area). Great view on the river. You dont have to book a riverside bungelow to have a view on the river btw, a general relaxing area with chairs (by the restaurant) also has a great view on the river. Not all personal speak good English.

This is the spot everyone told me to stay. It was pretty good but I think there are better on the same hidden path to get here. Would have liked a more personal family style touch. A family dinner and evening music would make this place so much better. Also feel like a zoo creature watching all the boats with tourists taking pictures wearing life jackets Very chill. Good breakfast.

The toilet was losing water and the odors from sewer is accentuated by the morning, we are a stench. On the other hand we rented a bike right there and not walking or pushing. The breakfast is good, dinner is better and the excellent attention, as are the views. In summary, what is the room very memorable. The location, the restaurant and the staff perfect.

We got bedbugs! It is a nice place to stay but we woke up the next morning with all our body bitten by bedbugs. Wouldn't repeat.

Unique stay with the restaurant/bar next door and facing the scenic lake. The bungalows were spacious and had nice facilities although there was a small leak in front of the bathroom.

Amazing experience! A definite stay if you are coming to Ninh Binh to see the sights. It's unique and the customer service is great!

Location location location. This place is fantastic! Great starting point for activities in Ninh Binh. The staff are flawless and knowlegable. 100%!

The place itself is nice and 7$ for a dorm bed including breakfast is okay. However the whole area is quite touristy therefore food expensive and not so delicious, including this place. It has a very nice view to the water and mountains from the terrace.

Great location and views, took the house boat out for a few beers and had an excursion of our own. Rooms were really good and very reasonably priced too.

I just came to the bar to eat and hang with friends who stay here. It was a very cool pave with amazing views on a large comfortable deck. I did not see the rooms.

Really nice location, you can watch the boats passing from your room window. Nice manager/boss who was enthusiastic in telling us where to go and what to do.

Great dorms. Highly recommended for Backpackers. Excellent place to stay. Chilled with good vibe and good view. Staff are great. Food is expensive but there is a really good vegan restaurant a short walk away in town.

This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. We managed to get a room last minute withing a few hours of wanting g to stay in Tam Coc. Very well priced (charging a little more wouldn't have killed it for us) Breakfast was great, and with a lovely view. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Clean and friendly places on the banks of the river.

Nice location with a good view. The food was alright the staff was helpful the location was awsome. Overall overpriced for what it is. At those prices the fine details should be taken care of and they are not. There needs to be a level of service at the prices paid and there was not. The places is annoying to get to twisting the thought streets. A long walk if you have to walk.
