Really nice. Great spacious homestay with big vegetable garden. And excellent and fresh home cooked meal. Hosts are amazing and the rooms are neat. Don’t listen to the poor reviews this is a lovely and peaceful place to stay. Would definitely come back again.

The good was the people, the food and the time we spent during dinner. The bad I'd say the bedroom. Although the homestay has potential It was too noisy. I don't know what animals but we didn't sleep well. Whether there are RATS or not as other comments say I couldn't tell but we had a banana in a handbag and it was eaten.

This is one of the most friendly places I’ve stayed while travelling! Me and my friend ended up staying here unintentionally — we were let down by another hotel as they gave our room away during one of the busiest holiday times in Vietnam, we didn’t find this out until we got to can tho at about 11:30pm. We called round loads of hotels and they were all fully booked, thankfully hungs homestay had someone cancel! Hung met us at the gate and took us to our room and was very accommodating. He also told us about a tour for the next morning which we decided to go on. His son took us and some other people on a tour of the floating market, a noodle factory and a small river. Would highly recommend going! The next day we were moving on to somewhere else and hung helpedk us organise our bus and ferry to the next place which was very helpful as we can’t call anyone on our phones as it costs too much. When we were about to leave hung actually refunded us some money for the dinner and breakfasts we had missed, we didn’t expect this at all and it was such a kind gesture. If you’re going to can tho would 100% staying here just because of how well you are treated there.

Attention! There are rats in the bamboo huts. We were accommodated there on a 2 day/1 night trip to the Mekong Delta. When we returned to the hut after dinner, we discovered the rats in our hut. These walked back and forth all night on the wooden struts of the hut. We were able to save our provider in time before it was nibbled on. At our neighbor's, they had nibbled the handbag on.

I turned up expecting to stay in an actual home. This is basically a lodge by the river with dinner and breakfast where you made spring rolls and dinner was good. You can buy beer there for 2000 vtm (less $1) the rooms have mosquito nets over the beds and are quite basic but fine. My favourite part was the fact that there were about 12 travellers converging and we had a nice dinner and drinks afterwards and I met some great people. For $13usd it's definitely worth it and it's where all the tour groups have you stay. So I would happily recommend this place. People had mixed reviews on showers, some. Said great with nice pressure. Mine smelt badly so I didn't use it. Overall I'd stay again.

Very nice homestay. Not much in terms of a cooking class but still the fish they served us was yummy!

A place run by very friendly people, it's a cozy place, the bungalows are nice, but everything is a little sloppy.

Fantastic experience in the homestay. Had a big spread for dinner, and also had the opportunity to make our own fish rolls. The hosts were very friendly. Rice wine was delicious. Rooms were conveniently located by the river, which connect to the Cai Rang floating market by boat.

In the bungaloos you have to share your rooms with a few rats.
The owner/staff were okay but they didn't had too much interesst for the guest. (It's not the 'family atmosphere' what most people expected from a 'homestay')
Despite of all this it was safe. But didn' worth it to paying an extra money for the bungaloos instead of rooms in the houses.

Could hear rats sqeaking all through the night, couldn't sleep. No hot water in the shower, only one electric socket in the room. Bes is hard. Dinner was mediocre but filling, breakfast was basically a piece of bread, not satisfactory at all.

Great food, clean room, lovely views. Cute puppies and a hamster and aquarium. Friendly staff :)

If you can live without the hairdryer and tanning lamps for just one day, Hung's Homestay is a fun and enlightening and sometimes hands-on experience. Hung's knowledge of the Mekong Waterways is spot-on and the hospitality provided by Hung and his family is warm and genuine. Even a stroll through the local village can be a heartwarming experience. At the end of a long day Hung might even join you in a beer and share a tale or two.

Hung is a lovely man who made everybody feel welcome with his great home cooking. It was great value for money and he offered everybody a shot of rice wine after the end of their meal. Here's the bad thing, While my girlfriend was taking a shower, she came out and screamed!
The owner's son was going through her suitcase.
What are you doing? My girlfriend asked
The young boy said that it was his room and thought it was his suitcase. We knew this was lies. it's just a shame that the owner's son let down such a great host. I hope this review will help him realise so his family can continue to provide a great service.

If you want to experience what life is like away from the modern urban cities then this is for you! Located in Can Tho off the Mekong Delta, we arrived here by boat. Mr. Hung is very friendly and welcoming. The small bungalows are fine for an experience that comes from traditional hotels, they are clean and well maintained. Mosquito nets and fan in room, comfy beds and basic washing facilities, and WC in every bungalow. You can take part in preparing nem for dinner which is one of Viet's national dishes. No creature comforts but free Wi-Fi available. An unforgettable experience, highly recommended!
