Gaia Hostel Hostel

This place had a huge bedbug problem while we were there. One girl was moved into my room after being covered in bites from another room. I found a few in my bed before falling asleep on the second night staying and their solution was only to move us to another room after checking out — they had no problem checking anyone in without telling them that at-least 3 rooms had bedbugs not sure about the other rooms. They offered to wash my clothes for free. I guess in order to appease me. I later found out after being miles away, that none of my clothes were actually washed (“in hot water / dryer”) — and that they were only neatly folded.

I really wanted to like this place. It's really beautiful upstairs on the roof and I met some nice people here (including the excellent staff). But, the lack of privacy (only curtains separate the beds) and the loud music coming from the lobby, and the only semi-maintaned bathrooms were not great during my 3-night stay. I was planning on giving this place 2 stars because I really liked that I got free breakfast and the staff was helpful enough but the last night I found 2 **bed bugs** in my bed. Because of this, I simply can't recommend this place.

Everything is so well ran here. The staff are the best, very helpful and warm. Very clean and comfortable. I'll give 5 stars for what I get for the price of the dorm. Perfect except the hostel is on a little hill (1 minute gentle slope), a bit tiring for those with advanced age… unless you take taxi all the time or has your own bike. But I still highly recommend this place.

Very nice hostel. Loved the upstairs area for sitting and morning yoga practice.

Staff at check-in was super awkward as he insisted he wouldn't honour any Agoda deal booked.

I liked this place and the staff where super friendly. Interestingly I was the only European there it is very popular with Vietnamese from Ho Chi Minh.

To be fair, I haven't stayed here. My stars go to the incredibly sweet staff that talked with me and helped me find a new place to stay after discovering mold at my (then current) hostel. Unfortunately Gaia was booked 2 out of the 3 days that I was requesting so I went elsewhere (next door at the PI Hostel).

Amazing place! Strong recommend. Fair price. Nice staff. The hostel is on the hill which means it has a beautiful view of the city.! I love the weather in Dalat. I think you will like it too. I will choose this hostel when I come back to Dalat agin.

We stayed two nights in this wonderful, charming hostel and loved everything about our stay there! The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean! And there is a small rooftop bar with a stunning view over Dalat! But the best thing about this hostel is the exceptional friendly staff! We were really sad to leave our new friends, but when we are back in Dalat, we will definitely come back to this place! Thank you so much for this amazing stay.

A hostel highly recommended to visit when you come to Dalat. Located on a little hill, the view speaks to my heart. Moreover, super good position in the center, moving to other destination is never be difficult. The decor is a big plus, I like it =) ) There is a small rooftop bar with "must see" view, good music loud enough not to make you feel uncomfortable. The price is pretty OK. Staffs are super friendly. Services, especially free breakfast and bike rental are good, even the after sales service :) ) I forgot my personal ID card at the hostel after my 2 days stayed and hostel and, hostel people did contact me to return my ID, this make me in love. Thanks.

The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The first rooms are a little noisy in the morning with all of the coming and going.

I would say one of the best hostles We have visited in 3.5 years of travel, bit more expensive but worth every penny! Such a chilled out vibe and this place has everything! beautiful decor with natural wood, plants indoors and a light airy modern feel.
The rooftop is great for city views and rekaxing after a long day exploring the surrounding countryside. …
The rooms are really nice, clean and feel spacious, there are lockers for your stuff, towels, pillows and quilts in the beds all separated by curtains for privicy. There is even a double bed bunk bed which was perfect for us!
The owner is a great guy, very friendly, smiley and welcoming — and great English! The staff are all fantastic too, very friendly and chatty and full of useful advice on dalat and Vietnam in general, got on with them great and now have them all on Facebook!
The hostel can help you to book tours and advise you on you'd places to eat /drink/ visit. Nothing is too much trouble! They even do laundry and our clothes came back smelling awesome!
If your in dalat this should be the place you stay!
