A managed property under Ascott of Capitaland. The courteous staff and security makes you feel welcome at any time of the day (or night if you will). Rooms are well appointed for both long and short term stays. That being said short term stay customers are usually given room on first floor without choice and it usually lacks privacy with children running to the pool and passer by peering through the kitchen windows.

The place is clean. Everything is well equipped. Washing machine, fridge, microwave, wine glass, TV, coffee and many other items that make you feel at home. They have pool, gym and a place for you to work during the day with some cookies and coffee.

Pretty poor experience. While the 2 bedroom suite was large, the rooms felt empty and a little sad. Breakfast was disappointing with a lack of selection and less than generous portions. As the new restaurant doesn’t appear to be open yet, you’ll likely have to sit outside next to the pool. Receptionists were friendly, but that’s all the good things I have to say about this place. It’s good for families but pretty terrible for business travellers. Go for a hotel near the center. A little more pricey but worth it.

This is a great serviced apartment. All great amenities. Washing machine and detergent powder are also in the apartment. Kitchen has all necessary cutlery as well. Microwave too. The only thing I don't quite like is the pillow. It is just too soft. There is no bathtub.

Stayed I a 3 bed apartment. Was beautiful! Spacious, clean, nice little kitchenette. Great pool. Would stay again if we ever went back to Saigon.

Great hotel. The apartments are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is well equipped (although we would have enjoyed some large bowls for cooking). The amenities, such as the outdoor pool, the small playground for the kids and the workout room are superb. The quality of the service, especially for the maintenance staff is exceptional. Definitely a favorite!

Very suitable for family stay, the environment is comfortable and clean. This time with the baby to go ~ there is a crib. But there is no bath tub ~ recommend to buy baby bathtub to make service more perfect.

A very nice service apartment. Apart from being a little too far from the town, everything else is good. You will love it. Trust me.

About 25 minutes by car from the airport, our 102 sqm suite had 2 big bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a sitting area with a big TV (about 48 in), dining table for 4, fully equipped kitchen with a big refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, coffeepot filled by staff everday, water bottles replenished everday, plates, cups and saucers, silverware, and a washing machine. Staff are courteous and always smiling. The small restaurant near the swimming pool (ground floor) serves breakfast from 6:30 am. Although menu selection is limited, staff are friendly and accommodating.

We had a comfortable lovely 3 bedroom apartment. Very spacious and clean. Washing machine was a blessing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Not much to eat for vegetarians. The pool area is lovely. Evening entertainment was excellent. On the whole atmosphere at Somerset is great.

The apartment is awesome however don't expect much from the staff, they don't show the courteous attitude and so. E trainees were rather rude with us.

I am not sure if it is appropriate to compare this kind of residence with other hotels. Good thing of the residence is to provide two or three separate rooms with big living room. But sevices are generally poor. Especially, room clearing is not satifactory. I shocked to see dirty leftover food in my floor was neglected almost whole day.

Great hotel in District 1, nice rooms. Was upgraded upon arrival to bigger room, staff very polite and helpful. Clean, modern and quality furnitures/appliances.

Stayed at the Somerset for the last four trips to HCMC. Oasis of calm in the chaos of the city. Features are location, staff, amenities, security, and atmosphere. Requests were responded to quickly and efficiently. Great for family and large group.

Positive — Apartments were clean and bathroom was well maintained (The whole property looked newly constructed). The location is just on the edge of district 1 hence it near the independence palace but away from all the bustle. The staff were helpful and jovial. There is a travel desk which will guide you to interest points and cruise, if required. Negative — This is a service apartment and hence lacks the hotel facilities such as a bar. The breakfast was below average. This also operates as the dinner restaurant which looks more like stall. It is much better to have it outside.

Great service. Always kept our place nice and clean and replenished amenities. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and felt it was quite nice.

Nice and spacious serviced apartments, well equipped, good facilities and a decent restaurant at the pool. A bit far away from the main strip with all the bars (taxi is about $5 / 10 min). Mixed guests (all nationalities, age groups, families and singles). Decent travel agency in house and good security. Only problem is that if you only book a few days and then want to extend I had the feeling that they screw you a bit. We were told we can stay in the same room for the same price, paid and one day later they wanted to move us to a smaller apartment for a higher price (coming up with some stupid excuse). Don't let them. The booking is a contract and if they make a mistake, they have to eat the cost (or not have the revenue they were expecting). Also for a more expensive hotel (by Vietnamese standards) I would expect the customer facing staff to know better English.

Overall have a nice experience staying in Somerset Ho Chi Minh City. The apartment is nice and clean but housekeeping must learn to replenish amenities without being told.

Spacious and well equipped service apartment. We had a very satisfying stay there with our expectations met.
