Great Service! Nice breakfast although in the past, I had better. But for the price we paid, its such a nice place to stay. You can also park your rented bike there safely. Good food and a nice atmosphere at the rooftop sky bar. My 7th time staying there and I will continue to book there every time I go over to Ho Chi Minh City again! Good job and keep up the good work.

The staff was very friendly. We rented a superior room. Lots of space. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent and the main dishes changed everyday so we always had something different to try! The one thing I would say about this hotel is that the elevators are a bit slow and a bit small. But I'd definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Located at the most happening street in Saigon, Duc Vuong is value for money. Restaurants and pubs are on your doorstep. In fact, the in-house rooftop bar offers the best view among the rests.

I booked this hotel for two nights and was happier than a pig in slop. I was impressed with everything from the warm welcoming to the quality of the rooms. Comfortable bed — check Functional AC — check Hot shower — check In addition, the rooms were small, yet clean and everything was provided with the utmost care. The only small complaint was the breakfast buffet, while very good, didn’t have a large selection.

The staff make this place what it is. Everyone is beyond friendly and accommodating, and I am pretty sure this is why this place has such a high rating. The complimentary breakfast buffet is tasty and the dining area has a nice view. The rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms. The AC works well. I wouldn't call it the cleanest place. Keep in mind, everything here is quite old, and a bit dim. There were little black hairs on the sheets when I arrived. The internet is great. If you need a cool breeze, you can find it on the rooftop bar.

Nice clean hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was on the first floor so I didnt have a nice view. I did have the option to change rooms but I prefered the layout of the room I was given to the new option. The breakfast was nice you had a choice of cooked or cold with a selection of fruits, and hot and cold jucies. I would stay there again. You also have to eat and try the cocktails at the rooftop restaurant their food is nice as well.

Lovely hotel, roof top bar was amazing. Showers are stupid it was under my neck so couldebt wash my face without going on my knees. Good pressure in shower thou very clean and tidy rooms friendly staff, 5 star if the shower could of moved up.

The hotel offers everywhere a very pleasant atmosphere with excellent service. All staff were always polite and help me with my special request very friendly (I had an unusual concern with my luggage). The breakfast offers a good selection with Asian and European food. The room with city view has a comfortable equipment. However, the third bed in the room should be omitted, for three people it would be very tight, for me alone: ok. WLAN worked fast except for a short exception. The hotel has a beautiful roof top bar, from which you have a great view of Saigon. I felt very well at this hotel, it was one of the best 3 star hotels in Saigon. Of course I will stay here next time again!

Nice views of the Ho Chi Min Skyline from one of the busiest streets in the city. The street itself is not what you are looking for if you are looking to get to know the city thoroughly. Rather it looks like an adjacent to the red light district of Amsterdam but on the terrace of this hotel there is a haven of peace where the noise of motorcycles, kittens for guiris and harassment of public relations does not come. The prices are higher than elsewhere and they ask you to pay before you go up if you don't have a reservation and just want to drink a beer. The Saigon BIA is to 100.000 VDG.

We enjoyed our stay. It had all of the basic amenities and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There are definitely better value hotels available, but you can't beat the location of this one in the heart of the backpacker's district. Only other issue we faced was the car they booked for us for transport back to the airport didn't have seatbelts. Everything else was great.

This hotel is definitively deserved a rating of 5-star. It's a two-star hotel with services better than of a 5-star hotel. Its services are exceptional, from courtesy to cleanliness. Its every employee should be commended for its exceptional customer service attitude. They had accommodated every request I had with a smile. I had stayed here twice; 15 days long each; and I will stay again and again every time I go back to Saigon.

The room is spacious enough for stay of two. Great location to restaurants, bars and cafe. Have to give credit to the rooftop bar, the view is great and beautifully decorated area! One downside is I had bedbug bites during the stay, the staff gave us free drinks as apology though.

Relatively clean room. Rooftop bar was good. Air con didn't really work and no extractor fan in bathrooms so when showering getting dry wasn't easy due to humidity. Good value for money for central Ho Chi Minh City.

Great rooms and amazing garden bar on roof. When I booked I had no idea it was right in the middle of the backpackers area which is a fun crazy bundle of energy especially in the evenings… some types may not want that, but I enjoyed it very much. The room was nice, but the first room offered had a tiny window not like the big window in the picture on Agoda where I booked it, and that window is why I booked it… along with the rooftop bar. But they changed me to a better room.

Great place to stay, very central to everything. The safe's in the rooms don't work too well and are not bolted down securely. Great roof top bar.

Great family friendly hotel with better than average rooms (compared to this specific area of the city) Duc Vuong is a little more expensive than some of the run down hotels in this area, but it is one of the best looking. They also have a beautiful open concept rooftop with amazing panoramic views of the entire city. Gay friendly hotel as well.

Great hotel. Quiet despite its central location. The staff were amazing. One of them rented us a personal moped, and another spent a morning tracking down a cell phone that I had left in the cab. Thank you Linda!

Really nice but a bit pricey little hotel! I got herrassed already by check in with a local friend from Hanoi. Really unkind they would not allow us to stay there after a long and tired journey. The reason was that Vietnamese person are not allowed to stay with western in one room. After begging the manager they let us stay there for two nights. My Vietnamese friend even book it under our names! It really ruin our stay there, so I can not recommend that place.

I would give this place 10 stars if there was such an option. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and all the staff were unbelievably attentive and meticulous. They went way out of their job scope so as to make sure that our stay was extremely enjoyable. At such an affordable price, every tourist visiting Vietnam should stay here.

Really liked this hotel! Awesome rooftop bar with great views and yummy cocktails! Try the ciders — yum! Reception staff are very courteous and smiling. Willing to help. Location is great especially for party lovers. I didn't even realise this until going there. Nice to explore around and lots of great food places too, street food included if you're willing. My room didn't have a window which I wasn't aware of but that didn't prove as too much trouble. Breakfast is sufficient.

For the last 5 days of our Viet Nam travel, we decided on this hotel. Our first (windowless) room had a small window to the floor – we already knew from other hotel rooms and politely asked for a new room (through the small window, you can hear as well as about what is taking place in the hallway). After a short wait we got offered also a new room, this time without the annoying floor window. The new room was somewhat smaller than the old one and apparently older. The wallpapers were partially yellowed something, basic cleanliness but was alright. Unfortunately the room keeping in the bathroom is lost — so we had to get toilet paper from the hallway and the liquid soap in dispenser was departure after refilled (was already empty when we arrived).
Whom the checkout till noon is not sufficient (because the plane leaves such as Center in the night), for which half "room rate" buy a checkout until 6: 00 or take advantage of the free shower in the basement. The luggage can be deposited free until departure.
A small Tip: The hotel or The restaurant next door offers a roof top bar. As a hotel guest, you get also 10% discount on food.

Good service, front desk will help with virtually any needs, free breakfast is surprisingly good, small rooms but we'll maintained.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, probably the most helpful from any hotel I stayed in on this recent trip. The hotel has a nice rooftop restaurant and bar which offer some good views of the city and the food is good, though a little expensive. I only had a couple problems with the hotel 1) the Internet is not very good and you keep having to sign back in and see the adds. One note is that premium Internet is only 1.99 usd for 7 days so that's not too bad, I did not notice this until my last day. 2) it's noisy with activity on the street or in the rooftop bar.

A lovely rooftop restaurant in the heart of the city. A great place for a breakfast or dinner. The food is good and the price isn't too expensive. The views and atmosphere in the evenings are beautiful.

Very quiet top terrasse… and very good staff … foods avalaible and not expanseve… I like to go there.

Fantastic service, great location, but they are doing heavy construction work with lots of noise and even more light dust right now, scheduled to finish november 2012. I had prepaid via Expedia on a no refund deal, but the hotel refunded most of my expenses for the remaining nights when I decided to check out early! If you're going to Ho Chi Minh after 2012-11 go to this hotel :-).
