Very helpful owner! He took me to the market on his motorbike to organize spare parts for my bicycle! Cleanliness of the room was good, breakfast as well! Hard matresses seem to be standard in this area.

Excellent location, food, drinks, beach, 420, good rooms. Recommended. Plan to stay three or four nights, there are caves around. The beach is magical and the hostel is great to chill. Paradise that has a happy hour from 5 til 7 PM. A free welcome beer and a nice breakfast included. Best place in town.

We really enjoy our stay there. Nice clean place with a more than friendly owner who speaks english very well and really helpful. Lucy, his dog, was just so lovely, it even came with us to the restaurant. We highly recommand this place if you stay in Pho Chau and want a friendly place. Enjoy!

I was going to give it 3 stars but the owner puts so much effort in being a good host that I add one star! Facilities: rock hard matrasses, could be much cleaner (especially linen and towels! ), our twin room had a bath tub but the boiler hardly supplied enough hot water for filling it up, rooms smell very mouldy, covered motorbike parking. Owner: such a nice guy, speaks well English (meaning he actually understands what you are talking about and can small talk — worth so much in Vietnam! ) and really tries to be a good host. When my gf was feeling sick he let us stay in the room until afternoon at no extra charge, offered help and provided us with face masks to cover our noses from icing cold wind when we drove off. This is by far better service than expected and makes up for the average room condition.

Bloody awesome hostel. Great location, great people and make sure you have some local rum with the owner. He is an absolute legend! Don't stay anywhere else in dong hoi!

The owner is so friendly and speaks perfectly English. Besides that, he knows the local city really well and can give you good recommendations. Also he has the most friendly dog I've met in Vietnam so far!

The best hostel I have ever stayed. Right at beautiful beach where you can hear calming waves even to your room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed for a stopover between Ninh binh and phong nha. The host was great and helped out a lot but the rooms were damp and dusty. Not good for people with allergies.

Thang, the owner, has been really hospitable and always ready to help us. He speaks a good English and will be happy to discuss with you to improve. If you have the time, Thang will be happy to take you to a school nearby to discuss without the kids, all eager to learn English! That was a really nice experience and we met a lot of nice people. The room we slept in was clean and the hot shower was perfect. Very good Wi-Fi connection. We recommend it!

One of the best places I have ever stayed at! The staff and owner were great and we were treated like in such a nice way. We felt like being part of the family rathwr than just guests. Highly recommend this place!

Ended up here mainly by accident on the bike trip north and was delighted with the cleanliness and setup of the place. Facilities were good for the price. The beds were fairly hard but by no means the hardest we've stayed in on our roadtrip (never mind the hardest in SE Asia as another reviewer has unfairly suggested! ). On top of this Tang spoke great English and was really helpful in taking to us a great spot for cheap food and showing us some local liquors. Would definitely recommend if you have to stay in the area.
