Turtle Bay Lodge

We had such an amazing stay at Turtle Bay Lodge. When our plans unexpectedly changed, the team went above and beyond to accommodate us without any stress. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay as smooth as possible.
The food was absolutely delicious every single time – fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. On top of that, the views are simply stunning. The crystal-clear water and peaceful surroundings make this place feel like a hidden paradise.
Couldn’t recommend Turtle Bay enough – we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed in a family room for our family of 4. Kids had their own bunk beds and space and parents had their own room. Family has an amazing deck that is a stone throw from the ocean. Excellent common area and restaurant.

This resort was amazing for all the reasons. The best service, the best location (everything was so easy and accessible). Reefs, Blue Holes. Really good food! For added reassurance the lodge had a water filter on every tap. Including in the bathrooms. The staff were so friendly and the hosts Mick and Vikki were wonderful in offering advice and friendly service. This was the best holiday I’ve had in a long time. I hope to visit again soon! Just go.

My family and I visited Vanuatu for the first time and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The place was just perfect and the staff so friendly. My daughter loved her pancake breakfast! We will definitely be returning.

This place is paradise, I can't recommend it highly enough. Its perfectly placed to access all the best places on the island very easily. The rooms are clean, comfortable and functional and each one has a view of the ocean. The staff are brilliant, attentive, intuitive and very friendly. The resort managers Vicki and Mick are fantastic, they are super knowledgeable about the island and especially about the dive sites. The restaurant in the resort is one of if not the best restaurant on Santo. Best Holiday Ever!

Fabulous place to stay. Ocean view units all have amazing sea views. Beautifully furnished and super clean. Spacious with plenty of space.
Glamping tents are next level luxury… private clean fabulous views easy sea access for snorkelling swimming.
Tasty meals reasonably priced.
Continental breakfast is lovely and if you still peckish the Big breakfast is awesome (50% off for guests). Dining area is fantastic relaxing with views of coast and sea. Also perfect for happy hour cocktails!
Fabulous Swimming pool a great option to relax and chill if you want a change from the sea.
Staff are so friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy being part of the Lodge.
Vicky and Mick are awesome hosts who find time to make all guests welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Easy friendly people to chat with.
Cultural evening was superb and a lot of fun.
Plenty of tours and activities available plus kayaks paddle boards snorkel equipment all available too.
Car hire available too. Recommend this as a the Lodge is little way from the town and cafes shops etc.

The family had a very relaxing stay here. The resort is quaint and well-kept, and every person working there is genuinely friendly and happy to make our stay welcoming — probably nicest staff I’ve come across.
We stayed in the seafront family bungalow and the huge deck and view onto the water was wonderful. Seemed like we had our own personal area, somewhat private. It was cute and roomy but cozy, two separate rooms for the kids and adults to separate. No frills, like AC and microwave, but there was a fridge and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The air flow through all the windows and fans kept us cool enough at night. The bunk beds for our teenagers were a bit springy but they seemed to sleep just fine on them after our fun sunny days. The adult bed was good enough for us.
The staff are good at helping to arrange transport and excursions. We did some diving at the onsite PADI dive shop, very well ran with excellent staff there to show you the untouched reefs around resort. They lined up diving the Coolidge one day which was AMAZING with Pacific Dive.
We did Max’s Snorkel tour (ask front desk, a little secret) where he took us very close by to an awesome reef next to an island/beach the family had to ourselves for the afternoon (esky full of adult bevs was a good idea).

Super happy with the staff, they are the kindest and most helpful people I've ever met, from the first to the last person we met. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It’s also the perfect location for excursions around the island. We booked one of the hotel quads to explore around, and it was fantastic. Highly recommended, no doubt we will go back here if we come back to Vanuatu!
If you are staying somewhere else, make sure you come at least to the restaurant, so so good. They will help you with the transport arrangements.

We had visited Turtle Bay Lodge a couple of years back and were blown away with the whole Poulet Fish we had for lunch. It was therefore an obvious choice for us to stay for our latest trip to Santo.
It didn't disappoint!
The moment we arrived we were made to feel special with a refreshing welcome drink, all the staff were friendly and happy to assist, be it providing advice on what to do or just a friendly natter on random topics.
Turtle Bay Lodge is perfectly located ~20km from Luganville. That makes it ideal to base yourself for visits to the south part of the Island or to Champagne Beach and Port Orly in the north.
The Lodge has a good mix of rooms. We had 2 rooms with connecting door that worked perfectly for us.
The restaurant has a great selection of food and we revisited our love of the Poulet Fish many times.
Would we return? Most definitely!
I highly recommend this lodge for your stay.

The resort to stay at whilst on Santo Island. Plenty of activities to choose from or just sloth about, your choice. Great food and plenty of choices. Remember to check the specials board, as the staff forget to tell you what's on.
And don't forget to go fishing with Bob!

Great family holiday with young children (2 & 5 yrs). Very safe, very friendly, very relaxed, very easy. Turtle Bay Lodge is central to the key sites, and plenty to do at or from the resort like sea kayaking around the bay, snorkelling around the bay, kayaking to nearby blue holes, hiring buggies or quads to go exploring, scuba…
Bear in mind that Santo is hardly touched by the western world, that is its strength but can be seen as its weakness too (ie food can be bland or limited options, you are on island time, not everything works as you'd expect etc) — all part of the experience!

A great resort in a beautiful location on the beach. The glamping tent is spacious and comfortable and well designed. The restaurant menu is amazing and more than just the common dishes. The diving is exceptional. The staff are extremely helpful.

We had a lovely break here. Staff are well trained, exceptionally friendly, and very capable. This comes from good management so top marks to Vicki and Mick. The 'tents' we stayed in had great decor and were very comfortable and spacious … air conditioned and with fans. The best thing was that all accomodation is close to (almost on! ) the water. The grounds were in immaculate condition and remained so throughout the day… the staff raked that sand daily. Then there's the restaurant — we all agreed it was one the best steaks we had ever had — almost tender enough to cut with a fork and cooked to perfection (which is difficult with a table of 8 with 5 steak orders ranging from rare to well done).

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Turtle Bay Lodge. We felt at home, the staff was like family and very accommodating when our flight back to Efate was cancelled at the airport. The management was very helpful and welcoming when we had to stay some extra days to sort our flights back home. The food of the restaurant is fresh and delicious, the setting of the resort in Turtle Bay is a dream and very protected. A short swim out to the reef rewards you with a superb snorkeling experience. We could have stayed forever and would love to return one day.

I had the privilege of experiencing multiple accommodation styles at Turtle Bay Lodge. Due to being “stranded” on Santo Island when the collapse of Air Vanuatu happened May 2024. I was in love every morning waking up to the views from the different rooms I experienced. I miss listening to the ocean and hearing the gentle lapping of the waves. The staff were very attentive and the managers welcoming, and only to happy to help. The rooms were excellent! I loved the whole lay out of the lodge. There is hammocks, beach lounging chairs and little romantic pockets to have your meal near the water. Snorkelling off the shore at sunrise 😍. Managers Mick and Vicky extremely knowledgeable divers. Great dive set up. I brought most of my own gear only used their BCD. I had fun using all the non motorised water equipment. And we also got it have a spin in the Roulette “wheel”! The staff we got to know by name and they were dancing with us at diner time and we had a lot of laughs. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and I Will definitely be coming back. I could not speak highly enough of the managers.

We had a wonderful experience and time at Turtle Bay Lodge. Arriving on Christmas Day we were welcome with friendly faces and unbelievable views. The waters around the lodge are mesmerising and I found myself perched on the water edge on one of the many resting spots reading a book and enjoy the quiet. We hired quad bikes on two different days and explored the island taking in Champaign beach, blue holes and Luganville. Great way to get around. The owners are wonderfully helpful and friendly. The staff remember your name and are always happy to assist. We can’t recommend Turtle Bay Losge enough. It was a highlight of our Vanuatu experience.

We had the most amazing time and can't wait to come back. The restraunt was amazing. The food, the staff, everything was just top notch. They took care of everything for us. We found the prices fantastic. Kayaking to Matevulu is a must. As is the RIri canoe tour. We hired a car for the day and found it very easy to drive ourselves around, though on a Sunday there is much less traffic on the road. We can't wait to return. Thanks for the best holiday EVER.
