MedioMundo Hostel

A small but excellent hostel in a good and rather quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was a very good place to enjoy Montevideo after a long South America trip.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed. Decoration is lovely, very cozy place. Comfortable and safe. Staff is really cold, helpful and friendly. Clean.

You get what you paid for with the hostel itself, but the people are nice and the location is solid. I immediately made friends with some people at the bus stop down the road who took me for a night out on the town. The restaurants in the area are good and there is a grocery store near by — they made me give them my passport number though when I bought something, and I don't love that. Decent breakfast as well, note that you have to pay a bit extra for it though.

Pretty good hostel in a good area for bars, restaurants and attractions. Staff were friendly but didn’t speak any English.
Hostels in Uruguay are expensive compared to most of South America.
Needs a co-working space as the very loud American woman doing her English online tutoring dominated the hostel come 10am both days we stayed there!

A great hostel with character, super helpful staff, nice patio and communal areas, clean rooms, and convenience close to the beach and public transport.

By far the best hostel I have stayed in. Front desk was very helpful, the entire hostel is extremely clean and well upkept. It feels nice to sit in the living areas. The place is quiet and the location is perfect, super close to the park and beach. Best Wi-Fi connection in south america too 🤣 I stayed in a hotel before here and I wish I just stayed here instead. I am so impressed and would choose to stay here over a hotel 100%. Fantastic.

We used the' WeKeep' storage facility for 4 suitcases for 6 hours.
Location was central in Montevideo and the hostel staff were very helpful. The service was inexpensive.
Overall experience was positive.
Recommended.

Front desk people are super nice. Beds have curtains and there’s AC. There’s not many bathrooms especially for the number of people but I’m very impressed that they keep them very clean. Enjoyed my stay.

Everything during my stay was good. The owners and the staff take good care of the premises and they are helpful and engaging. The hostel is situated a stone's throw away from the Rodó Park and there are two grocery shops nearby.

The location is very good, in a safe neighbourhood in walking distance from restaurants and the beach. The hostel itself is nice and clean. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very cute, especially for hostel standards. The gardines on the bed help to get a bit more privacy. The staff was helpful and nice.
However, at night you can hear every noise from the street, because the windows are not well isolated. Also, from about 7 in the morning there was sometimes music in the main room or people talking during breakfast. The shower would sometimes switch to cold water for a couple seconds. Overall a good hostel, especially for the price. Just beware if you’re a very light sleeper.

Super chill hostel to stay in Montevideo. Friendly and helpful staff, equipped kitchen, cozy living room and as far as hostels go the best & clean bathrooms I've seen in a long time. Definitely will stay again when coming back to Montevideo.

Loved it, super nice and friendly. Private space! Just one side note: only 3 bathrooms for all the travelers isn’t enough tho. Make sure u take ur bath the night before if you’re gonna head out early in the morning!

Mismanagement. I had an incident where a $150 coat disappeared in my room. The owners will not move an inch to try to solve the situation. The incident happened last year. They pretend nothing happened.
