Edem Resort & SPA in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

How polite and efficient is the staff at Edem Resort & SPA?

Most guests describe the service as impeccable, highlighting the staff's professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness, often comparing it to the standard of top European hotels. The reception staff, waiters, and bathhouse attendants receive particular praise for their courtesy and readiness to assist. However, there are some negative reviews: one guest experienced untactful behavior when receiving a call from reception at 4:00 PM demanding quiet in the room. A case of slow breakfast service was also noted, where orders were mixed up, and guests waited 30 minutes for tea and fresh juice.

What kind of dining and cuisine options are available at the hotel's restaurants?

The cuisine at Edem Resort & SPA is widely regarded as exquisite and high-end, with some guests comparing it to Michelin-starred establishments. The "Terrace" restaurant is particularly praised for its innovative presentation and flavor profiles, as is the "Panorama" healthy eating restaurant for breakfast. Breakfasts are described as exceptional, although there are occasional complaints regarding slow service from the kitchen and waitstaff in the morning. Guests also note that alcohol prices at the hotel are quite high, despite complimentary sparkling wine being offered at breakfast.

What can be said about the room amenities and comfort?

Opinions regarding the rooms are mixed. While some guests appreciate the interior design and comfort, others point out noticeable shortcomings: the lack of a kettle, coffee machine, and blackout curtains, allowing light in early in the morning. Complaints also mention inconveniently placed electrical outlets (at times requiring guests to unplug the TV to power the refrigerator), dusty outlets, a leaking shower, and subpar toiletries. Stains on carpets in certain room categories and an insufficient number of bedside outlets were also reported.

How effective is the soundproofing in the rooms?

Soundproofing in the hotel has raised concerns among some guests. One visitor reported receiving a call from the reception at 4:00 PM regarding room noise while simultaneously being able to hear sighs from neighboring rooms, concluding that the sound insulation needs improvement.

How is the SPA complex equipped, and which treatments are recommended?

The SPA area is generally rated very highly, described as tranquil, welcoming, and professional. Guests especially recommend the forest sauna with herbal vats and traditional broom whisking rituals, calling the experience fantastic. Massages (specifically the "Touch of the Wave" program) are compared to the finest treatments in Bali and Thailand. At the same time, one guest considered the SPA quality to be lower than that of other comparable luxury hotels in Ukraine.

What are the grounds like at Edem Resort & SPA, and what activities are available?

The resort grounds are vast, impeccably maintained, and picturesque, featuring a forest, a lake, a fountain, and vineyards. It serves as an art space adorned with numerous unique sculptures, paintings, and a Trypillia culture museum. Guests can enjoy walking trails, Nordic walking, visiting the stables, and playing golf with available coaching. The atmosphere is described as magical and inspiring, ideal for meditation and rejuvenation.

Is the hotel suitable for families with children?

Staying with children may present certain challenges. Guests note the absence of a playroom and dedicated children's areas on the premises. A major concern raised was the lack of basic pediatric medications (such as paracetamol) at the on-site medical center, which left a child without relief during a toothache. Additionally, hygiene concerns regarding dogs on the grounds and the risk of pet-related allergies in rooms previously occupied by animals were highlighted.

Is the hotel pet-friendly?

Pets are allowed at the property, unlike at several other resorts. However, this has drawn criticism from some guests due to dog waste found on the grounds and leftover pet hair or stains in certain rooms.

8/10

It is such a magnificent place — probably the best hotel in Ukraine! We had a great time with my husband at Edem Resort, enjoyed the photo shooting there, walking in the garden and seeing the modern art sculptures. The gentlemen at the reception Sviatoslav and Artur were especially helpful and well-mannered. The terrace by the lake serves amazing lemonade and it is such a place to stop and stare. Edem. Paradise — speaks for itself. Will be back for sure.
