A hotel in the heart of the capital. Standard rooms though with furniture, which is already a dozen years minimum, but very neat and clean. Breakfast in the form of a buffet came to taste. Probably because among the guests of the hotel a lot of foreigners, the food, though not pretentious, but very good quality and tasty. I can say that I will definitely return to this hotel with great pleasure!

Celebrated in the restaurant Cossack prom, a large hall, which accommodated two classes with parents, space for dancing was enough. The dishes are cooked deliciously, the portions are normal, the work of girls waitresses like, too, there were no complaints. The toilet in general pleasantly surprised, clean, spacious, flavors.

The hotel is in the center and only this allows it to "have" customers, otherwise everything is notable.

The hotel rooms are a horror… It seems that the repairs have not been done since the Soviets. The tile in the bathroom is beaten and somehow glued. From cranes can run red water. The flooring is dirty. Walls in some spots and falling wallpaper. Constant blowing and no air movement. No air conditioning. And this is in other rooms. At my expense I B in this hotel did not live, but now and at the expense of the company think to go there or not.

Terrible. Do NOT stay at this hotel, even if price and photos look temping. Location awesome but next door are quality hotels and apartments same price. Or stay at hotel dnipro or hotel ukraine for same price. Water was red and rusty in sink and shower. Mafia and gulag type guys hanging around. Breakfast soviet prison style.

This place is not the Hilton, it is very basic, there are some things that are tired. I had trouble with the lock on the door till I figured it out. But reception were very good and offered another room if I wanted there is no safe but security will look after valuable if wanted. Reception are very helpful and speak English. Bedding is changed daily and is nice and clean Breakfast has a good choice of foods, again very basic but free. Who would complain. Advantage very close to all things, Shopping, Nightlife, and food of all tastes. Disadvantages no credit card payment facilities at reception you need cash. But card machines everywhere.

Sorry, guys, this hotel is run down and dirty. AC was not working. You have to wait for the hot water to appear about 10 min… location is great though. Thus 2* just for that.

The breakfast and restaurant are good and the staff friendly. However, the hotel does not provide wash cloths for showering and I was grossed out when one of the cleaning ladies switched out my toilet cleaning brush and then without washing her hands, changed my bedding including pillow cases. Weird hotel location wise it's amazing staff wise it's amazing but what type of business only accepts cash I feel like someone might walk into my room at any moment this seems a bit shady.

The location is fantastic. Basic Soviet-era hotel with "vintage" standard amenities. May be more basic than some are used to, but it was just fine for my needs during a 6 night stay. Good price for the location as well. The Wi-Fi in generally un-reliable I found. Would recommend overall.

Old fashion hotel with great location in Kiev center. Very nice view on the Independence square. But be careful, they do not accept cards or forain currency.

Given the premium location, it looks like they could have invested more into the renovation. There are definite signs of the old past everywhere — — from the worn-out doors to cheap bathroom holders, even in a suite room. I dread to think what it's like in the standard rooms. The view and the breakfast were good, though.

Rented the most expensive room on the last floor of the hotel. Very decent price as for a hotel in the center. The room was clean, large bed, 2004 level TV, decent view from the balcony, but the balcony itself is not equipped. Good breakfast. Overall, not bad.

It's basic and functional. Expect no bells and whistles but the place is clean, comfortable, good Wi-Fi, decent breakfast and reasonably priced considering the location, which is excellent.

As central as it gets — located next to Maidan square. Prices are ok-ish, but prepare for some old-school Soviet spirit around.

Yes the rooms are dated, but overall this is a nice hotel. It is located in a great area for exploring Kiev. It is very affordable (by american standards). The ladies at the front desk and in the bar were very nice and helpful. When I enquired about a ride to the airport, the lady at the front desk took care of everything, even writing down the price of the taxi and scheduling it for exactly when I need it. She also mentioned that since I was checking out before breakfast started they would make me a to go box to pick up the nigh before. I have never had a hotel do that. So, while the rooms look a bit 70s or 80s, with tube tvs and lots of orange, if you are looking for an affordable place to stay in a good location with friendly staff, this place is great.

Hotel in the heart of the capital. The street is quite decent, but inside scoop scoop. Old squeaky beds, not the most reliable to look at the door (the feeling that leverage push and room hacked). But a beautiful view over the Maidan and attractive price.
Hotel for foreigners who come to see the style of the Soviet Union, while inexpensive to live in the heart.

I have been there twice and the hotel is oké. Staff is friendly and helpfull. The lights of my room broke and everything was dark. They solved the problem instantly. Free parking behind the hotel. A good place to be.

Not a very cozy hotel. Apart from being very old, it was not very clean and the bed sheets just covered the top of the mattress. Although this seemed to happen in many places in Kiev, water from the tap and shower had a very unpleasant smell to fish. On the other hand, location was perfect and staff was very nice and helpful.

This is an excellent budget hotel in arguably the best location for the city centre with very friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

Location wise you can not get better than the Hotel Kozatsky. It is slap bang in the cirt centre on Independence Square. The quality of the rooms were good. You also have a small television (ukrainian and russian channels ofcourse). The only fault that I would say it that the pillows are quite hard but other than that the stay was comfortable and I have planned a second trip there this year taking a 9 strong group with me.

Not bad! From the hotel "Kozatskiy" there were only walls and a couple of grandmothers retirement age. Everything else has changed for the better.
