Saltek Forest Cottages

It is good convince place with Wi-Fi all meals are present at affordable prices and a resting rooms for those who have travelled from far it also have a swimming pool and much more so you are welcome feel at home a home away from home.

I am thankful for the great customer care service at Saltek Forest Cottages and the quiet ambiance with your spacious rooms. I really loved the place.

Ideal place for tourists who want peace and quiet there is a little forest and some monies in the compound.

The location was a tick for us coz its located along a main feeder road. It has a good forest view the cottages around just like its name goes with fresh air in them😊. When it comes to the rooms the bed and washrooms are all I was appreciative to. We were disappointed upon the sitting room have a fridge but not working and seemed very old so we were like whats the use of it inside then😂. Maybe for decoration. We came expecting provision of us cooking for ourselves but it wasn't possible as well as shown in pics the utensils were available but no gas plate so we wondered what their use was for as well. Management plz work upon those issues. Our other disappointment was with the food too. No taste, very bigsized fries ooh my God we paid for the food we didn't eat our first day ordering for lunch the Chef needs to style up. We were forced to move out and look for what to eat for the days we spent their so bad even the breakfast oooh 🤢🤢. But besides that its a nice place to stay around🥰

Stayed there as it was mentioned in the Bradt guide. It really was a pleasant surprise!
The place is quiet, the cottage is spacious and clean, with chairs and small tables, the bed was big and comfortable (and is fitted with a walk-in net), there is hot water, the shower is spacious, and has good pressure, and breakfast was quite good.
On the downside, there is no Wi-Fi, some more light in the room (especially in the kitchen and bathroom) would be welcome, the kettle plug did not match the socket (lucky we had the right adapter), the fridge was not working properly and a shelf and/or more hooks/hangers would be a great addition, but apart from those minor flaws we were very happy with the cottage and really enjoyed our stay. I confirm what is said in the Bradt guide, exceptional value, as the price was very reasonable.

Saltek is very clean. Serene. The cottages are spacious and you have a mini kitchen.
Breakfast was also good. Only downside was that their DSTV package did not have Supersport 3. So, I will rate them 4/5.

I have never in my life had a unique experience like I did at Saltek Forest Cottages. A mix of a 4 star accommodation with a total forest. The quietness and seldom happy monkeys can't be rubbed off my memory. The other thing that I enjoyed most was the early singing birds in the early morning. And I mean as early s 5:30 am.

If you are a nature lover, a book reader and a lover of privacy and tranquillity, then Saltek is a place to stay. The set-up is in form of apartments and you can carry own your food to prepare, snacks and drinks. The rooms are absolutely clean, with mosquito nets and all necessary accessories to make your stay comfortable and the staff very respectful and helpful. It is also not very far from the town. The place is covered with trees and you cannot feel the heat even during the dry season. It's very affordable with rooms ranging between 100, 000ugx to 150, 000ugx. Perfect weekend hideout.

Saltek Forest Cottages is a serene, and calm place. Very clean, smart and with wonderful cottages. It's a beautiful get-away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The customer care is excellent. The staff is very helpful. Everyone is eager to take the extra mile to guarantee your comfort. My wife and I had a great two days there.
The price is quite affordable.
If you would like a place to stay in the city, that's got good gardens, great people, and lovely cottages, look no further.
The cabins have wide windows that let in all the fresh air and natural light, while at the same time, keeping the pesky mosquitos outside. They serve a healthy breakfast, and took extra measures to attend to my pregnant wife's many needs.
We couldn't have picked a better place to prepare for the journey into Murchison Falls National Park. If you are heading to murchison, and need a place to prep, this is definitely one of the best. Especially if you don't like crowded spots, and love a natural surrounding. Lots of monkey visitors though… 🐒
It was too bad they did not have intercoms, but you can let them know in advance if you would like to have room service.
Also, I would appreciate it the next time we come around to find a wider assortment of food to choose from.
