I really enjoyed spending time at Stevalyn's Ridge View Lodge. The place has a lush, green atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down and relax. The owners are friendly and welcoming.
One of my favorite spots was the big mango tree in the middle of the compound, with monkeys often playing around. It gives the place a fun and lively feel. The restaurant serves tasty fresh fish, and the rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view over the lake.
A peaceful place worth to explore!
The lodge is brand new and consists of three cottages, each with two clean and spacious en-suite rooms. The restaurant (with roof terrace! ) has an open kitchen, so you can watch the chef at work. It is run by a German-Ugandan couple (Stefan and Evalyn). Because it is not a large complex, you feel like part of the family and can get good tips about the country and its people. The lodge is not located directly on Lake Victoria, but above it in the mountains.
Stefan and Evalyn also help to organize excursions. For example, we took a boat trip on the lake. This was also very personalized, i. E. The time and scope were tailored to our wishes, and the boatman picked us up at the lodge with his boda-boda (moped) and brought us back again.
Good place as well to discover the Jinja region.
Breakfast is included in the overnight rates, dinner and drinks are extra. The prices are reasonable (approx. $10 for a freshly prepared three-course meal).

My husband and I spent a couple days at this beautiful place and it was very beautiful experience! A very serene environment, a haven of some sort tucked away from the hussle and bustle of the city. The service and hosting from both Evelyn and Steven was top notch! The food and juice was so fresh and extremely delicious. We shall definitely be back. A 10/10 experience.
