One of the best hotel in Mauritius. Recently hosted my son's birthday party there and was as usual very satisfied. Memorable moments. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Mr Julie for organizing the event.

Excellent welcome, the kindness of Mauritians is not legendary. We spend a heavenly stay that ends in apotheosis with the surprise celebration of my husband's birthday.
The country is all in contrast between mountains and sea to discover.
The rooms are spacious, clean and the staff efficient and very discreet.
We recommend this hotel and hope to be able to come back.

Best Beachcomber hotel I have visited so far! We had the best server at the pool everyday — Mamed! He is amazing, he made sure we had the most relaxing 10 days! Loved the different choices of restaurants each evening! Rooms are spacious and room service was great! Highly recommend!

Beautiful palm garden, very well maintained and absolutely clean. Service, in the buffet restaurant is ok. Excellent service in the a la carte restaurants. Room service comes morning and evening to clean which is wonderful. Very special praise to Mamed at the pool, which is by far the best waiter in the whole complex! always attentive, never runs empty, clears everything that is not needed, why he only works at the pool is a mystery to me?! Rajesh is also a great waiter. All in all wonderful holiday, thank you 🙂

Beautiful hotel but in this hot weather not enough drinking water for customers. In the room only one bottle of water for two people for all day and then you have to buy water all the time. No any water in the lobby. I think for 5 star hotel is not acceptable.

We have loved our two week holiday at Trou Aux Biches, property is mint, food and staff service is impeccable and the scenery amazing.

A hyper attentive and extremely well trained staff, beautiful surroundings, spacious rooms, top restaurants, very well stocked menus and extraordinary chefs!

The most wonderful hotel to stay with hospitality par excellence and nothing too much to help with… always a helping hand food is out of this world. View of the sea is pure heaven and even though in quarantine I feel like I'm on second honeymoon thank you for the best time ever.

Paradise exists and it is there: all the ingredients gathered for a magical holiday! I recommend 300% and look forward to being able to return…

I knew going in that this resort had a good reputation, but I can honestly say that it was even better than expected. From the awesome location, helpful and friendly staff, to the amazing views, and wonderful room, every aspect of my stay was extremely satisfying. Troux Aux Biches will definitely be referred by me to anyone interested in going.

This hotel this old but we love the beach you have in front of your room is clean and safe and the owner friendly.

Marga, Scarlett and Tahvia make the best Virgin Island Iced Tea, try one or five! Chicken tenders are great for $12. Excellent view of the pristine Lindberg Bay. James at the front desk is a good dude too. Chatty Catty is cool, meow! Had a blast here floating with the stars at night. Cant wait to go back.

This place is best local beach bar on island, with the best mixologist Tahvia Pursley.

Fantastic location, it took me just 8 minutes to walk there from the airport. The beach is quiet and beautiful and the complex itself is very St Thomian, but the rooms are very damp and dated.

Where do I start, the fact that my family and I were accused of trafficking due to the company coming in and out of our hotel room. Prior to my family and I renting the room, the staff were advised that we were in town for a funeral, and we would be having extra guests throughout the days we were staying there. Two days, prior to our leaving "Dallas" advised my aunt that she would have to pay an extra $15 per night for the extra guests. Please be mindful the extra guests he was implying were myself, and my cousin who were actually guests at the hotel. We met a young man that stayed next door to us and at night we would sit in front of our doors and talk. Mr. Dallas proceeded to tell my aunt he was watching us and there was trafficking going on. At this time I immediately was offended and asked him if he knew the definition of trafficking and that he should be careful with his words. He said "like I said, its 15 per night for the extra guest, and I witnessed the trafficking going on. " At that time I demanded to speak with the manager (if you would call her that). She came out and told me she was standing there and witness the whole thing, despite the fact he came back about 10 minutes later, with her. That was neither here nor there, I told her he accused my family of trafficking and it was unacceptable. She then proceeded to yell telling me to "GET OUT. " I laughed, and demanded a corporate address or her manager. Well low and behold Mr.

Truly a Beachcomber paradise. Right on the beach with a nice bar. All sorts of activities available and easy access from the airport. The morning breakfast "favorite" is a plus before starting your day.

I spent 5 days and four nights at this hotel. I had a great time. It is on the beach — you open your hotel door and you are 10 steps from the sand. You open your hotel door and a have a breathtaking view. It was peaceful and very relaxing. It's a perfect place to just relax and commune with your thoughts. The staff was amazing — the breakfast was great! Its a down to earth hotel to just relax. Best vacation to take in paradise.

First, I would like to say that the staff is super friendly and helpful. Secondly, the rates here are very reasonable. The rooms all face the beach. Even with the door closed, we could hear the sound of the ocean while laying in bed. The scenic view from our patio was great too! The inside of our room was clean and nice but you can tell it is very old. We had a flat screen TV (with limited cable channels), a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The bed was comfy but the pillows were flat. Some may complain about the rooms being old but how much time do you really spend in your room while on vacation? There is a bar/restaurant on premise but, since we rented a car, we ventured out to eat. The beach was clean but didn't see many beach chairs. Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time! I would definitely consider staying here again. Oh, I forgot to mention that it is walking distance to the airport.

Do Not stay here. I thought it would be nice judging from the photos but it is not. The owner (Michael) is very disrespectful and not accommodating at all. The hotel Is very old, outdated and basically filthy. Beds are nasty, cleaning women have nasty attitudes and there was literally roaches in the front office when I checked in. I was informed that They clean the rooms every three days and they don't like giving you towels each new day. There are stains on the walls and the rooms are just disgusting. If you complain or ask, the owner will get mad like he did with me. He came to find me on the beach to start an argument bc I asked for my room to be cleaned and to have some fresh towels. He then told Me that I was not welcomed there and I have champagne taste on a beer budget in front on my child. Not only is this insulting but it was seriously a joke to me considering I have a great Job with a wonderful salary and the only reason I was there is because Expedia booked trip for me. After the incident, people On the island immediately walked up To me to tell Me that he was a drunk and always did things like that to visitors. Had I known before, I would have never stayed there. I am now staying in a very nice hotel for the same rate and I feel much better. Expedia refunded me my money and I will never ever never stay there again. Trust me. Do not stay there. Do Not stay here. It is old dirty and should not be advertised on the major hotel booking sites. This hotel is a ONE star for the condition of the building and rooms. Even reception is in a dirty decrepit building. First impressions are terrible and it does not improve. Expensive joke.

Terrible, outdated, and no pavement in the check in area if you call it a check in area. Rooms and the building are old and rundown. Very, very bad upkeep. Don't stay here! Only nice thing is it is on a beach. But the hotel is terrible!

We didn't stay at the hotel — but on the way to the beach bar we walked through the lush gardens noticed that the buildings needed quite a bit of updating. At the bar we ordered our drinks — and my friends bushwhacker was more frozen slush — not very flavorful. I returned it to the bar requesting another variety of drink. We had just come from 2 doctor appointments (and it's very obvious that my friend isn't in the best of health as we had to change out chairs etc to accommodate) I waited at the bar to be able to deliver the drink and was told 'Oh, I'll deliver it. '. Well — the bar tender continued to flirt and toy with a guy at the bar, she waited on quite a few other customers at the bar, waited on some new customers too. My friend an I agreed to just leave. I paid for my drink and took the bartender not to bother with making the new drink. On our way out I let the office know of our experience. The previous bartender was there cashing out and very nicely offered a blameless apology and blamed the poor service on a change of shift. NO — just very poor service and a suspicion that the bartender came to work under the influence. We'll never be back.

The hotel is a little bit outside of signal coverage. Sometimes I could get and sometimes not. And Wi-Fi only works around the office.

Great location. You can walk from the airport or take a 14 dollar cab ride. The view is spectacular! They have an outdoor bar right on the beach. The bartender from England is amazing. They also have a kitchen, you can eat under a covered open eating area, your room, or the bar. The rooms are very similar to a motel 6, not the most luxurious place but definitely a very comfortable, clean, and welcoming place. And you can't beat the rates. I really enjoyed my stay am highly recommend this place.

My company has used this facility for several years to house employees working on Island for extended periods. I personally have spent 6 months spanning 2 visits in this hotel. The staff are amazingly inviting, I was in a King room 40 feet from the bay and was delighted. I will continue staying at this hotel every trip. Even though my company will pay for almost any hotel room for my travels, I am a repeat customer because of the people that work and own the Beachcomber.

I only rated a 4**** because I didn't get a chance to say there, but I was very impress with the fact that a day before coming to the island I had to cancel my reservation due to family medical emergency, and all my funds were refunded to my card within 2 business days without any problems. To me that's a plus, and will do reservation with them to get the full experience with the staffs, because they were all excellent and very compassion with for my situation. Thank you.

Watch out for the washed up cheerleader who waitresses at the restaurant, she will give you some serious venom if you don't give her the tip she adds to your bill regardless if she was a shitty waitress.

We reserved 4 rooms, all 4 had cockroaches in them, 3 had crumbs, and trash in them when we entered. Complained and were moved to new rooms and again cockroaches. We were told "they come from the garden" and it isnt a big deal. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.

Found a live cockroach in the bed.
