We got married here on the 06/08/2020. The place is absolutely stunning and the staff are absolutely amazing! Given the time period with Covid, everything was so organised and nothing was too much trouble, the social distancing was down to a fine art and the staff made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. Thank you to everyone involved with our wedding, you made our day very special and beautiful ❤️

The hotel staff were so helpful and accommodating. Even tho we checked out at 11am they told us we could still use the leisure facilities (gratis) and the grounds. The spa is a little on the expensive side but the treatments were well worth it. Will defo stay again — с Judi Skupski.

Been here for a wedding and had my grans 80th here few weeks ago and I cannot fault it the food was beautiful and the service was great.

Amazing place with lovely staff! We had a wonderful meal last night and Lewis our waiter was very polite and professional and made us feel welcome.

The hotel was lovely. However when I called, my booking was recorded incorrectly which affected my Mum's 50th Birthday present, as she did not receive her second treatment. Also I did not receive my second treatment as there were not enough staff to cover it, due to sickness. So we booked 4 treatments but only received 2. Although the treatment I did get was nice the unreliability was not ideal, so I will not be returning as the reason I booked the hotel was to attend the spa. Also the woman in charge kept telling me 'the booking was wrong', even though I called to confirm, and there was not even an apology.

The most amazing wedding venue! We booked this after one meeting with Pauline, who is undoubtedly the most amazing wedding planner and one of the nicest people you could possibly meet. The team were all professional, organised, adaptable and they made my perfect day so perfect! The food, grounds, hotel, atmosphere, staff, you cannot ask for anywhere better. I can’t thank them enough for such exceptional service and I can’t imagine there is anywhere better.

Went to my nephews wedding here last week from start to finish was fantastic the place is beautiful we stayed over for the night beautful rooms with a lovely view over the lake breakfast was gorgous and staff were lovely beautiful experience at this place will never forget and 1 day hope to return x.

Another amazing Spa break! In a group of 7, every staff member helped to make each one of us feel beyond amazing and the most relaxed I have felt in years! The Bridgwater Restaurant staff again were amazing and helped to pull of two birthday surprises! Helping us with all our extra requests! The staff here never fail us and every single member is willing to go above and beyond for us everytime! Next year we are already planning two visits!

We got married here on 1st August 2019.
What a stunning setting for our special day, you have to see it in person to truly appreciate the beauty of this venue. Amy our wedding coordinator was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. On the day everything ran perfectly, the food was great, and the staff were really attentive and helpful. Waterton Park worked brilliantly with the other outside agencies we chose to make our day perfect.

A beautiful hotel in a beautifully quiet part of West Yorkshire. Absolutely idyllic. Friendly staff clean well equipped rooms all make for a great stay.

Me and my best mate stayed here for two nights & three days — friday till sunday. We had a fabulous time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The actual hotel was stunning especially outside. The views and atmosphere was amazing. Very peaceful and relaxing. The food from the main restaurant — hot meals and drinks were reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Portion size was plenty. The breakfast was really good and options were very good. They had a wide range of hot and …cold items. Food wise the onlu downer was the ‘traditional english tea’ — we paid £19 each for me and my friend which was extortionate. We had awful sandwiches — very basic. The quice was cold and the desserts were satisfactory. Definately over rated and over charged. We didnt eat much and ended boxing up desserts to take home and we ate at the main restaurant. The rooms were spacious however there was no air ventilation — no air conditioning as we stayed on two very hot days. The building is vvv old and we struggled to open the windows for air — literally gasping for air esp at night. We managed to open the windows on second day and hotel staff gave us a fan to use. We had no room cleaning which was the worst bit of our stay. Toilet paper / towels and bed sheets wereny changed / replaced. We complained on check out and got an apology instead of a slight refund due to the inconveniences. I would come here again for the scenery / views and warm food. Wouldn’t stay there for more than a day.

Just had my friends wedding here and it has been fantastic, spacious rooms, rooms with great views over the lake, swimming pool, great breakfast, all staff we met over the weekend were so friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble, such a lovely place to have a wedding or a weekend away.

We had our wedding here on 26th August and wow! I can’t find the words to express how truly amazing all the staff are here, our wedding day ran so smoothly, they all made us feel so at ease. A special mention to Pauline, she is absolutely fantastic, right from the moment we booked the venue up until the wedding day she was always there to help I can’t thank her enough she is such a lovely person! We had the most magical day, I keep re living it in my head I just want to do it all again! Thankyou for making our day so special we can’t wait to come back for nights away.

We had our own wedding at Waterton Park & it really was our perfect day. The day run like clock work thanks to the lovely pauline & her team, who were attentive & ensured our day went without a hitch. The venue itself it absolutely beautiful, the grounds are just stunning & the photos that were captured we will cherish for a lifetime. We run a Flower Wall Hire business & have set up at waterton & found the staff to be nothing but welcoming, accommodating & the venue to be just as magical as it was on your special day. All in all a beautiful venue.

Very disappointing stay. Executive room way overpriced, nothing special dingy room small bathroom, bed hard, pillows flat. On arrival I was immediately asked for payment, the receptionist needed to go on a good manners coarse. As for the evening meal it was disappointing. Soup cold. Steak not hot and not cooked the way I had asked for it to be done. Chips were awful. Won't be going there again. Alf Gilzean. It would have been nice to have had a call from the management team.

Pauline & Kate were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and went beyond any of our expectations. They gave us loads of great advice on the day and on the approach to our wedding and really put us at ease. The results of all the staffs hard work were just staggering and we couldn't have asked for anymore. If you are looking for a truly amazing venue for your wedding, we really can't recommend Waterton enough and thanks so much for helping to make our day so special. Thanks again guys and see you soon. What can I say? Stayed 1 night for a relaxing break and found this betiful, peacefull place tucked away. Absolutely stunning place and setting, staff very friendly, room was superb. Cannot rate the place high enough. I will be back :) Thank you to everyone.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds… this place is like something out of a dream. The room was beautiful over looking the lake with a big 4 poster bed. Breakfast was lovely too. Just one small down side I had to ask staff 4 time to put towels in the room as we didn't have a single one. But I didn't let it ruin my stay.

Beautiful surroundings and such a lovely place in general. My daughter got married here yesterday and it was an amazing day. The staff couldn't do enough to make the day a very special one. Highly recommended.

Scenic hotel with pool, new dining area that looks lovely. Wedding staple I would imagine, but had good parties and corporate events here too.

The staff were perfect, the food was great and the pool was immense. Everything about this place is beautiful. The view from our room was breathtaking. The only reason this place didn't get a 5 star from me was the heat. I know it's not usually that warm in the UK, but it was a sunny day and the room turned into a sauna. There wasn't any form of air conditioning or a fan. Even with the windows open it was too warm and I barely slept.

What a fantastic spa day we had, from start to finish, the staff were so helpful, friendly and very accommodating, we had use of the pool and facilities then over to the spa where I’ve got to say that it was one of the best places I’ve ever been! Once again the staff there are all very professional treatment rooms are amazing and the relaxation room was simply beautiful. I highly recommend everyone to stay or go for a day of R & R, beautiful setting and a beautiful place. Thank you to all the staff for making my day there memorable xx.

Just got back from a night at this beautiful place! We will definitely be booking to stay again. Absolutely beautiful location, excellent facilities and 5* customer service. Loved every minute. All the staff from reception to bar staff to spa staff treated us like royalty. Made us feel very welcomed and couldn't do enough. The room was amazing and we had breakfast delivered to our room which again was fresh, made to order and top notch! Fully recommend! Can't wait to go back!

I had a fantastic weekend! Our room was gorgeous, overlooking the bridge. My boyfriend proposed and the staff were so lovely, providing free prosecco with our meal. Maybe we will come back for our wedding! Thank you!

Amazing location, absolutely stunning but can't help but feel that this hotel really could do with an update, there was a double bed in my room that was A) a Divan with single mattresses on (which I would definitely not expect to find at a 4*) B) that was too short for me. General decor could do with an update and bathroom was starting to show signs of age and needed regrouting. Charlie's bar was good but given that the other restaurant has earned rosettes I did feel it was all a bit to much focussed on the fryer and freezer.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The service and location were both excellent. The food both in the resteraunt and at breakfast was also very good quality.

Picturesque hotel. Weddings would be amazing at this venue, the food is veRy good and reasonably pRiced. Service and staff are polite and attentive. The rooms are modern with period features and mostly set within a Georgian mansion. Beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are to die for.

Loved our one night stay in the executive suite. We stayed for out anniversary and was impressed by the comfort and the quality of the food. If had I to be critical I would say the bathroom sink area could of cleaner in our room and having to put on tiny shoe covers that didn't fit to get to the gym area was a bit annoying. Would definitely recommend and probably stay there again.

The perfect location, great rooms and amazing food! Would recommend booking for massages. Only down is the small gym with old equipment.

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a big birthday and it was fabulous. They cater for gluten free, glass a of prosecco for birthday girl & the staff were brilliant. We used the leisure club too, which was nice but the changing rooms were a bit small & cold, otherwise it would have been 5 stars, thank you Waterton Park.

We stayed in the poachers cottage and it was absolutely wonderful. Big modern rooms and a nice family space. The hotel grounds are stunning. Wonderful overall.

The staff are so attentive & well schooled in serving. The meal leaves quite a lot to be desired for the money paid, but think this was because it was catering for a large group, over 100. The vegetables looked suspiciously like frozen ones, very mushy & roast potatoes probably reheated. Starters & desert good. Surroundings beautiful, room well decorated for Christmas.

We’re looking forward to hosting a family party here but a bit bemused by not being allowed a string quartet… Utterly odd IMHO but still rules is rules. Clearly Waterton Park is a no-strings venue :)

Me and my Wife recently got married at the venue. The whole day ran smoothly and was a fantastic experience. Pauline the Wedding Co-ordinator and the rest of the staff were brilliant and more than helpful throughout the whole process and day. The ceremony room on the spa side of the venue was set up promptly in the morning and looked amazing. The canapés that were provided were out of this world and there were plenty for all the guests as well as a welcome drink each. The breakfast room looked incredible and blew away our expectations. Simply stunning. The meal was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The boathouse was an ideal size for our wedding party and the DJ was phenomenal. The buffet food was top quality and very fresh which was appreciated by all of our guess. Most of our guests stayed at least one night over the weekend and they were fantastic. Clean, modern and a comfy stay. All I can say is that we had the time of our lives and the rest of the guests were blown away by the venue. Would highly recommend this to anybody considering getting married in the near future.

The service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food good but sent my lamb back as it was too tough. The rooms need refurbishment. Stains on the carpets and chairs.

The location of the hotel is lovely. I didn't stay in any of the rooms but if they are like the meeting rooms then they will be fabulous. The hotel is clean and well looked after and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was great and couldn't fault it at all.

Beautiful picturesque Hotel, Golf Course and Trout Fishery. Rural. Location. Great rooms. Great views a number of different bars & buildings. Excellent for Weddings or Conferences. A good choice for a romantic getaway. Highly Recommended.

Just recently had our wedding at Walton Hall, Waterton park. The venue was absolutely amazing and beautiful for our wedding. All the staff on the day were brilliant and provided an excellent service. Pauline and all the wedding team were excellent and made our day very special. Would fully recommended Waterton park as a truly magnificent venue.

Had our wedding there and went back for dinner on our anniversary and as always it's 5 star. An amazing location and beautiful old building. Would recommend visiting, staying, eating, drinking and getting married there. Absolutely fantastic place! 5

Me and my husband attend a wedding at waterton park and we're blown away by how stunning it was. Our room was out of this world and the staff were more than helpful. We loved every second of been there and even relaxed an hour or 2 in the spa before returning home. Food was amazing and the breakfast was one of the best we have had the choice was brilliant and the buffet aspect of breakfast was amazing on its own but the cooked breakfast was just what the doctor ordered. We will definitely return and recommend. The only issue we had was the check in time as it was the same time as the start of the wedding so we had to get ready in the spa facilities.

My husband and I stayed for two nights with breakfast. We found the hotel receptionist couldn't have cared less about the fact we were finding out about our family heritage and that my husband is a descendant of Charles Waterton. The rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The food in Charlie's Bar was absolutely delicious and the waiting staff were delightful. We are hoping to visit again with our children so they can see the beautiful manor house and where our family roots were.

Location a little out of town, in a good way. Food especially the lamb shank was fantastic, leisure facilities well maintained excellent and friendly staff service. Rooms old but comfortable. Hot water not so hot but due to geothermal heating.

The tone is set for an amazing experience as you walk over the footbridge towards an outstanding looking building. But that's where the fairy tale ends. Walk through the door to find the least attentive receptionist I've ever encountered. No information just " sign there room ** top floor " no times or anything useful so we had to ask (the overnight guy was amazing I must add). The staff were all rude well apart from the cleaners they were lovely. Then the room! Wow executive? Maybe if I was one of the borrowers or a hobbit. The room was small and below average decoration for the price bracket. There's not even a bath to relax in. The breakfast was nice I must admit but £155 for a breakfast just doesn't cut it. I'd have asked for a refund but the unhelpful staff probably wouldn't have done anything.

We've photographed a lot of weddings at Waterton Park Hotel over the last 10 years. This has to be one of the best locations in Yorkshire to get married. It's a castle on a lake! Wonderful location to get married and the food is also fantastic. Every time we've worked here the staff have been very helpful and accommodating with us.

A stunning Hotel and wedding venue. I am a wedding photographer who is often working at this venue and its one of the best hotels in West Yorkshire. The grounds are perfect and the staff are even better.
