Reviews of The Imperial Crown Hotel 3*
Would not stay here again! Was told on checking in that we weren’t on their system.
Finally they found us but had checked someone else into our room! We finally got allocated a room which was disgusting. Old dirty carpet, very dated and tired, stains on curtains, hard as rock bed, I could go on.
Having travelling 450 miles to attend a memorial service I did not bother to request a refund. Had I been there for leisure I would have gone straight back downstairs and asked to be reimbursed.
We were booked in for 2 nights (6 & 7 August) and on arrival my son promptly started drawing in the dust on the reception desk.
The rooms were filthy. Dust on absolutely everything. Bathrooms very dated and need completely refurbishing. Tiles around bath/shower were dirty. Carpets stained and dirty. The only saving grace was that the bedding was clearly fresh. Other than that it was disgisting. The level of dust set off my partners asthma and his eyes would not stop itching. We spent the 2nd night of our stay on my aunts sofas. We had a double and a twin booked and travelled as 2 adults and 2 twelve year old children.
We had paid for breakfast both days but did not have it as I had no idea what the kitchens would be like if the main areas were so dirty. It also didn't help that the dining room was basically a construction site as the ceiling had collapsed whilst they were closed during Covid.
The location is great and if this hotel had money spent on it I am sure it would be popular.
However, until that is done, I would not recommend booking this hotel.

First of all the room we was in the first time was not acceptable enough as the TV was not working neither did we have any essentials such as a iron which we was told we’ll get, me and my cousin had to run out to get an iron after that we was moved into a different room which was slightly better but it was totally unhygienic and dirty as there was someone’s left over food left in the cupboard also bed sheets were undone and there was hair in the shower as you can see attached this is not acceptable for our first stay in Halifax. Beds are also uncomfortable woke up with a very bad stiff neck, hygiene is 0 Worst place to stay!
