Cheap and cheerful hotel close to everything.

Rooms dirty and environment health would have a field day car park across road behind a dis used building on waste land £100.00 holding fee not told about not sure what they want it for
Rooms very tired and filfy.

Very friendly staff nice clean basic rooms highly recommend.

Just stayed here overnight and will definitely be coming back!

Room very clostaphobic, very small on upper floor, 3rd floor not good for disabled and no lift! Expensive for what you get, needs some tlc and a good clean.

Reasonable prices and handy for train station and piece hall and town / bus station.

The staff at the imperial Crown Hotel were on the whole friendly helpful and hospitable! Probably the friendliest hotel I’ve stayed in! They helped with any problem we had happily! Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely building on the ground floor, only visited 'the imperial crown ' to attend an event, staff were friendly.

When at 1st my son told me that he had booked his wedding venue at the imperial crown. (25th August 2018). Not knowing how much it had change since the last time I was there, I was like thinking oh dear. But on arriving on the day, it was like wow. The staff was ever so friendly, helpful and yes very cheerful. The food a double wow. I would recommend the imperial crown for any occasion. Thank you ever so much.

Honetly the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were completely clueless giving excuses for why nothing was working. The room was filthy, the services were none existant. I knew for a cheaper room I really wouldn't get the earth but a little bit of comfort would be nice. I really don't understand how absolutely everything was so dirty straight after the cleaning staff has allegedly been in. We felt we couldn't go to the front desk to complain about our room or the absolutely vile cups/kettle/BED were or we would have just got another tirade of excuses. We couldn't get into the room and we was told it was because maintinece were in the day before and broke a few locks, then put us in a room without a broken lock! Won't be staying again, will be contacing for a refund. Don't stay if you value yourself!

Really comfortable with friendly staff and an anything you want breakfast. Will be returning very soon!

The downstairs area bar and restaurant have been recently refurbished, bedrooms need an update looking dated and tired. On the flip side the staff are great, friendly and very helpful.

Nice place near the railway station in Halifax. Perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Eureka museum with your children, it is just across the street.

Really nice friendly clean and not too expensive.

We've just come back from a lovely stay at The Imperial Crown… lovely staff, very tasty dinner menu, very nice breakfast. We had the four poster bed room-which was a bonus! If we had to give constructive criticism. Its that the bathroom was very dated! Ideal spot for centre of town … and to use as a base for sightseeing. Enjoyable stay-thank you very much. Would definitely recommend x.

I paid £42 for a room the night Kasabian played. For the cost you can not fault the place. Rooms are dated a little but comfortable enough and the staff are really friendly. Would stop again, no brainier.

Hotel staff brilliant can't complain, meals good, In my a opinion, some new carpets or laminate flooring, In places would lift the hotel up.

The food was fantastic and the staff friendly but the room was a little like the house that Jack built but we didn't pay much so was worth the money for the food.

Convenient location to visit places within area staff helpful clean rooms no lift so be. Aware if you have disability enjoyed stay.

Great hotel and very friendly staff, I stayed here for two nights over Christmas 2017, I could not fault the hotel in any way what so ever, we also have a Christmas party and a sit down meal for my staff, and everything was excellent.

Hotel in front of the train station. Typical English rooms, medium bedding, tiny bathroom… Nice staff and good quality restaurant. I had the opportunity to take an English breakfast: a treat.

Lovely rooms comfortable beds and great location opposite the train station and town centre.

Handily located for access to the rail station and Halifax Town centre. Friendly staff, simple, but functional rooms and a good breakfast in the morning. Not much more to say!

Great clean Hotel in good location with nice bar and restaurant.

Hi just wanted to say what a lovely meal we had on Christmas day, the staff were lovely and polite and the food was lovely, it was lovely to dine in the large room that was very spacious and not too busy and also had a bar right next to us, bonus thankyou.

The place was nice and clean, however we waited quite a long time for food as they did a served buffet not the best IMO, alot of people were complaining the meat was dryer than the Sahara. Staff were very grumpy which made us not want to stay longer than we had to.

The manager that served me n my wife was rude and obnoxious it took 3 hours to our main course when I comlained they said what you giong to do about it.

The hotel itself is nice and staff are very accommodating. The docked stars are because there was intermittent noise all night from the new boiler upstairs. Staff, to be fair did come and investigate with the offer of a room change. Also, I took a late night shower and it failed to get past a cool temperature. In the hotels defence I did not ring to get them to check this as it was 1am. I have stayed here before and had no qualms. I would happily stay here again in the future.

What a lovely friendly place to stay staff are a credit to the hotel stayed there only the one night clean tidy bedroom was lovely and clean would definitely be staying there again thanks to all the staff.

I had my wedding here and all I can say is the staff and Charlotte are absolutely wonderful!
I can’t thank them enough at all, the food was perfect, the service, the rooms and the 24hr bar (for those staying over) went down a great too!
I was totally at ease with the wedding planning when it came to getting help of Charlotte! Nothing seemed too big or too small when it came to me needing help from her… the waiters were fabulous with bringing out our food and even wore white gloves to serve people (it really is the smallest detail that makes such a difference) the food was delishious and not just at the wedding every time I have been for food it’s just perfect!
Bar prices are fantastic as some of our guests were worried it would be expensive but it was very well priced.
I couldn’t of asked for a better day here and it ran smoothly from start to finish!

Nice hotel but no ĺifts, but a lot of steps, so the disabled would find it difficult to go to their room, on the plus side staff are helpful food is good I found the bed comfortable and the room clean.

Pleasant place, staff extremely helpful. Restaurant very good with a wide variety of meals. Only problem is there is not lift and all rooms are upstairs.

Had our wedding here all staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble food was fantastic I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get married there or just having a short stay excellent.

Clean, comfy bed, really great food (apart from the poached eggs). Bar / restaurant slightly understaffed sometimes but I was happy to wait. Overall very comfortable stay.

We have stayed at this lovely hotel 5 times now and have thourly enjoyed each stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially on our last visit when due to mobility problem Jack moved us from the 5th floor to the 1st floor. Never had a dirty room and always plenty of clean towels and hot water. Also the biscuits on the refreshment tray are delicious ;) The breakfast is good value for money and a wide range if choices available. I would recommend the freshly cooked to order Full English breakfast… compliments to the chefs… hits the spot :) Would like to praise Denise who looks after us at breakfast and Jack on Reception for exceptional customer service skills and going the extra mile. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Imperial Crown is conveniently located next to the railway station and the soon to be reopened Piece Hall. There's a free car park opposite the hotel and it is easy to find by road as it is opposite the railway station. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. This is a classic railway hotel with a restaurant and bar. We had a good sized room that was due for an imminent refurbishment but it was still very clean and in good order with a comfy bed. Wifi in the bedroom was very good — this is a failing of many other hotels. The only negative for some visitors would be the lack of level access and lift. Value is excellent and we shall be staying in the Imperial for our future visits to Halifax.

Can't fault our stay. Two couples stayed and our rooms were totally different so I can only comment on ours. The furniture was older style but as the bed was a four poster it seemed more apt in my opinion. I looked and couldn't find a fault with the cleanliness of our room. The staff were very friendly, the bar is 24hrs and food was excellent. Breakfast is a feast on its own. I defy anyone to say they couldn't find the kind of breakfast they wanted from the choice of either cooked or buffet food available. Slight down side is that parking is across the road. You can get a permit from reception.

Staff were very helpful and polite throughout. The evening meal included was delicious and generously portioned. Bedroom was in need of redecoration but positives outweighed this.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms need an update but the public areas are nice. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The food was to a great standard and home cooked.

Great venue for corporate events. Good facilities. Good food. I would consider it a business hotel rather than a tourist hotel.

Rooms looking a bit dated and loud construction works outside (can't really blame them for that though). Other than that, great service, comfortable bed, decent TV and very nice breakfast and dinner. Very close to the town centre as well, would recommend staying here if you have to be in Halifax for a couple of days.

I spent a night here, in a single room. The (fairly sparce) work force covered all the bases, and there was nothing they didn't help with, including directing me to the off site car park. It's over the road, so you do have to negotiate a fairly busy road without a crossing, but it's free and in a good location, so, no worries. The food was good (Chilli "fish" tagliatelle and creme brulee), the room was well appointed and quiet if dated. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I stay at this hotel now and then through out the year on business, visiting our head office, which is about 2 miles further up the road. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly and help full, the food is very good from morning to night! Plenty off parking just opposite, I can't really comment on room rates as the company pays for the room etc, one of the girls in the office said, that it is fantastic value for money and the company uses this hotel all the time. One thing I do know is that, every time I stay there, it is always busy and never empty! So they are doing some thing right. Well done to all the staff, and keep up the good work see you tonight.
