A lovely hotel with a very central location. Very clean and tidy, staff were always helpful and friendly and breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. All in all a great place to stay when visiting Sheffield.

Lovely hotel, looks a little rough from the outside, luckily the inside is lovely. Menu is very limited, and expensive, the curry pot is lovely and worth the £12. Staff are very helpful, if you have a desert ask for it with your meal, cause they take an age to come, I for sick of waiting and has it sent to my room. Overall a nice hotel.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough, we travel to Sheffield quite a lot and really enjoy staying at this hotel, the rooms are lovely, beds comfy, shower is amazing. The breakfast is included and is really nice, a good choice of food. The staff are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. The restaurant on site is okay, a bit pricey for what you get though.

This is my second Hampton and at least I must admit they stick to their brand standards. Again very good location and a good value for your money. If all you need is a bed in a clean comfortable room, this is definitely a 5 star hotel for you. However, if you care for attention to detail, that's where they loose some stars. "ok" is what defines their rating. But again, you definitely get more than what you pay for. Clean and spacious rooms. Standard full English breakfast. Kind staff and a good location. If you've read this far and you find this review useful, don't hesitate to give it a like ;)

Very clean. Good early breakfast available for early starters. Air con issues on second floor, however compensated and moved to the first floor for night two which was much better. Still, can't give back a nights lost sleep back especially when the next day was so important.

Shocking! Just shocking! Stayed twice now and seems the hotel is a haven for drunks and big parties! First time we were woken by about 15 lads next door having a part with their room door wide open and no action taken! Daughter terrified as I went to sort it out as hotel staff too scared! This time we have a group of lads going out every hour and then return by shouting down the corridor, bad language and screaming in the room all night! The hotel decided that this is acceptable! Once bitten, twice stupid… never again!

The room is very nice and modern. Very comfortable bed, excellebt shower etc. BUT the air con in my room was broken and the windows can't be opened. They brought a fan up to me but it was still so hot I got no sleep. They did give a full refund though.

Nice clean hotel, no thrills. There is a Marco Pierre White restaurant attached to it which is very good! Fair value for money when we stayed. Takes about 5-10 minutes to walk into the City centre.

Good hotel at a reasonable price. Room fits, as large, quiet and quite modern furnished. Breakfast for the price also okay. Parking slightly more expensive (12£/2 day), which is actually English standard. Very well suited for transit or city tour.

Nice place. One of few business restaurents in city center. Service is good. Rooms are arranged good but slightly on smaller size. Has good parking and breakfast. Excellent for short to medium stay.

It’s a solid 3 Star Hotel, and for the money (£60-80 a night), it’s good value for money. Breakfast is average but does the job. Perfect for a stopover and they have a secure car park with free parking.

This hotel seems to have gone downhill since I was last here. Rooms pretty basic. Maybe because it’s nearly full and we’ve got the last rooms. But I do appreciate this convenient location.

Had a few 1 nights here for work and night out. Quite a new hotel, functional, clean, comfortable rooms. Has facilities for making own drinks in room. Breakfast was good and has car park. Good value for money on edge of city centre.

I've stayed here three times. Clean rooms with everything you would expect, the staff are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend.

Great hotel, the rooms are very nice and clean, I especially appreciated the shampoo and conditioner dispenser and also the body lotion dispenser in the bathroom. The only bad thing, the staff was very slow with check in, the whole procedure was way to complicated. Breakfast was very nice too with lots of variety.

I enjoyed my time there. Despite being categorised as budget the offered way too much. 24 hours excess to gym small but nice to have. Rooms were clean and enough towel for. Also breakfasts is excellent you have English breakfast option with continental option as well. Really good.

A very beautiful and clean place. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and always a service with a smile. Front office staff is always ready to help and serve. Rooms were properly cleaned everyday. Thank you to house keeping aswell. Definitely excellent service!

A lovely City Centre Hotel. Close to the City Centre just a few minute walk. Very comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast. Hotel also has car parking so it's a ideal base to use on a Sheffield overnight — weekend visit.

Nice rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was better than most hotels regardless of the busy nature of the day. Price was very reasonable also and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice easy overnight stay.

I was only there to wait for other people who had stayed at the hotel. Regardless, the staff was friendly, the lobby was clean and well furnished. I was able to complete some work there while waiting. Seating was comfortable and bathrooms were clean.

Reasonably nice, but felt overpriced. Same facilities available at other places for less. With prices of over £100 a night, it's not unreasonable to expect all the TV channels to work.

Stayed the night after an evening in Corp. Really comfortable room and the included breakfast really helped the morning after. Would recommend!

Good location for city hall. Parking but chargeable, remember your reg. Good reception staff, had a takeaway pizza from Marcos on meal deal, bar gave me ice for the room. You need a key for the lift so don't leave your room without it. Uphill walk to town.

The afternoon tea was very good value nothing was to much trouble for the manager and staff it was a very good selection of sandwiches and cake it well worth visit we would give it a 5 star.

Thank you for putting us in a room next to the lift as I explained hurt my foot so saved me from using stairs lol. Amazing view Clean and changed towels regularly.
I would recommend this hotel to others and already planning on returning when we come back to Sheffield in the future x.

Fantastic. Clean, comfortable spacious rooms, with all the facilities you would expect from a higher starred hotel. Great value. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was unbelievable in the range of what was offered. Couldn't fault it.

Exactly stay. Very friendly staff. Marco dinning has amazing quality Italian food to try out… we Loved it… will come back soon.

Decent hotel, you get what you pay for and a delicious breakfast too.
Limited on vegan options, however staff were available to ask about dietary stuff.
Lift was broken go our floor so it was either going up the stairs up, or a combination of lifts and stairs. (Don't really mind that much).
Room was absolutely spotless however the view was almost depressing — but again, not a problem for us.
Television was a bit crap on some of the channels, and it wasn't the best nights sleep ever, but definitely decent enough place to lay your head for Sheffield adventures.

Clean and well decorated but small room. Staff friendly but did not ask if everything had been ok at check out. Dreadful breakfast experience. It is self service which is fine. However after eating fruit we left our table set with our drinks and cutlery and went to get cooked breakfast. On our return to our table others were sitting there and told us that it had been cleared. We then had to sit at a table near the corridor. Out breakfast went cold while we got more drinks and cutlery. When we complained to restaurant staff they said sorry but it is self service. Will not be returning here!

It's a really nice hotel not a bad location and has its own parking facilities (£12 for 24hours) which makes it easier when the trains aren't working!. Overall cleanliness of the rooms could be better. Windows aren't very clean in the rooms and carpets could do with a hoovering a little better! Drinks can be a tad expensive. Breakfast choice is really good and isn't too bad we stayed 2 days and it was same things both days good quality but could do with a better quality sausage lol. The staff what can I say they're all very nice and polite and are really great with all the guests. Overall I would come back but will try another hotel next time maybe closer to the centre of town :-)

Great service from friendly helpful staff. Easy check in. Clean comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast (although some variability would be good) and other food options plus a nice adjacent Italian restaurant. All for a reasonable price. This is my first choice stay when in Sheffield.

Stayed over night with my best friend, had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Staff were wonderful and room was so comfortable and clean. Bed was a dream, and slept like a log. Were given direction into center and map. And found it straight way and not far to walk.

I was visiting Sheffield for business so my main thrust is how the hotel accommodated my business needs. The room layout is good with adequate desk space etc. I found the Wi-Fi/ internet security (provided through BT I think) a little overly secure and, in my room, I could not log onto my companies e mail outlook web access mail account (had no choice to get around the security even to log onto to an e mail account) and even getting onto a company desktop application wasn't possible without disconnecting from the Wi-Fi access. I think an £8 per night car park charge for guests is also un-necessary. Positives are that the accommodation is very good with friendly staff etc.

Parking is difficult at first, but they have an agreement with the neighbouring hotel to use their much bigger car park. The rooms are fantastic and great for a good night's sleep, and breakfasts are virtually faultless.

Holiday inn express is better, and a fraction of the costs. Breakfast at Hampton is better but not by much, and the rooms at holiday inn express are far better. Hampton has plastic shower, express has proper tiled shower. Both have squeeze shower stuff. I'd go holiday inn every time.

I rang the hotel before hand to ask for a quiet room away from, lifts, banging doors, function rooms, kitchens and roads. They assured me room 200 was quiet, it wasn't. Just above a road with road sweepers, taxis, motorbikes til midnight and the main door in the corridor slamming shut every time someone came through it. I had earplugs but was still woken by slamming doors every hour until 4am and started again at 7am. A colleague in a room further away, and who normally sleeps like the dead, was also kept awake by the slamming until 4am. This was a week night so heaven only knows how bad it is at the weekend. I rang to ask for another room but was told the hotel was full. Had to scrape 'things' off the sheets. They were not clean. Breakfast was a soggy, sat in vats affair and quite unpleasant. Even the coffee was a vending machine. Stick to Wetherspoons. In fact, just don't stay here.

Great hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The fitness room is small but adequate for a mini workout. The hotel itself is fairly central but a 15 minute walk from that train station. The breakfast is great with plenty of choice from hot full english, pastries, fruit and the list goes on. I'd stay here again!

Excellent value booking for two mid-week. Clean, comfortable rooms in a 60's 70's era former police HQ. Handy for the city centre, within striking distance of the train and bus stations. Reasonable breakfast included in the room rate.

Stayed mid July 2015 so was very pleased with the amazingly cool air con kicking in as soon as I put the room key into its power activating slot. The room was very nice, felt much bigger than it actually was and had everything you could want. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever experienced and the shower was more than enough. Nice to get such a good, spacious shower for a cheaply priced room. The hotel itself obviously is a great setting, from the reception to the lifts, everything looks good and modern. You can feel safe driving here as well as the parking is nice and secure. Great hotel and no complaints.

I stayed here just for a Saturday night and overall I can see why this gets its very high Trip Advisor rating. I arrived from Sheffield train station and it's not the most direct route to get to this place. If you have suitcases I would definitely get a taxi from the train station. I would have thought the journey would be no more than 5 minutes; walking is around 15-20 minutes. Other reviewers have mentioned that the local neighbourhood looks a bit run-down; there are one or 2 buildings near by that do look scruffy, but you can also see new offices. The hotel itself is excellent, it looks modern and impressive and it stands out from the other local buildings. Check in was super efficient, my reservation was quickly found, I was told about the card must go in the slot next to the door to power the room and within 3 minutes of arriving I was in the room. Downstairs reception staff were plentiful and smartly dressed. My twin room was a little on the small size, a bit cramped around the desk and chair area, but very clean. Tea and coffee facilities are present. Bed linen is high quality, and the bed and pillow was very comfortable. Bathroom had lots of towels, plenty of shampoo, shower gel and hand wash and also of a high quality. The view from room 305 was nothing exciting, of the rear car park, but it was very, very quiet. Breakfast was included in the price, which saves people trying to find somewhere to go. Sunday morning at around 9 was very busy.

The room is quite small and basic, but it's nice enough.

Very average hotel. The breakfast is to be avoided.
