Great location for central Doncaster. Great food. Parking 300 yards away with exit ticket available on checkout. Excellent responsive service.

Lovely hotel and wedding venue. The ball room looks great. Im photographing a wedding here and im impressed. Gorgeous food.

Grate staff and rooms and 2 for 1 on breakfest on a weekend check in from 2pm check out 12pm worth 5 star.

Clean and tidy but the one thing we wanted fixing wasn't, 24 hrs after reporting it.

Smallish room but very comfy. Some noise due to back alley/ Street but was a restful night.

Had a great xmas party, great atmosphere, food was okay and the service was good.

My friends and I had been on a night out in Doncaster City Centre on the 17th March 2018. While we were in one of the bars, a tremendous amount of snow fall occurred. We were unaware of this until we left the bar. We attempted numerous taxi firms, none of them would pick us up from Doncaster until 6 am in the morning due to the snow fall and below freezing temperatures. After exhausting all other options, we went into this hotel in an attempt to book a room for the night, they were fully booked which they cannot help. While one of the receptionists tried to help us find a hotel room elsewhere (which there were none as everyone in Doncaster must have had the same thought as ourselves), we asked the hotel if it was possible if we could wait in the waiting area until a taxi would come for us due to the horrendous conditions outside. This is when the issue started, because we were not paying customers he would not allow us to wait in the waiting room he said we needed to leave the premises. We offered to buy things if it meant we could stay in the warmth but again he would not allow this. After a while, 5 police officers turned up, the receptionist had called the police to throw us out. This lead to us being kicked out into the streets into below freezing temperatures and they proceeded to lock the door, just to ensure we couldn't get back in.

Went here to do a market research. Came with my 1 year old and food job I came with a small ish pushchair as I could hardly fit us both in the lift! Im not sure how a wheelchair could fit in the lift.

Two star rating due to lack of parking. A stupid place to hold conferences and training seminars for that reason aline. The buffet was lush!

The room was small for such a large bed there were lots of squeaky floorboards and the view from my window was of a brick wall. In the bathroom the glass shelf was missing so there was no space for my toiletries. The cooked breakfast was cold and hard the eggs were like rubber.

So so helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Spotless clean.

Lovely refurbishment. Modern and plush with great decor and carpets. Friendly staff. Good equipment in the rooms for conferences and training.

Not sure if it was the fact that my office had paid fora "privileged" room or not, but it was nevertheless a great experience. The images I am going to post are from room 1010 and it was a 5* room experience for the UK. They had thought about almost everything. Wasn't a big fan of the "break the top" for your shampoo experience, it was great shower and a great room. A good breakfast for a 4* hotel. Try to avoid the claustrophobic elevator. ;)

Located in the town center, nice tidy clean rooms. Only a short walk from train station. Woukd definitely use mercure in future.

Within easy walking distance of train station, Staff polite and helpful. Useful as a meeting place.

Room small but clean and comfortable. Was a bit concerned to find earplugs in room, especially after passing a very noisy pub down the street. Fortunately it was a quiet night, possibly because it was midweek. Maybe something to be aware of if you plan to stay at a weekend. Evening dinner and breakfast was of a good standard although the restaurant appeared to be rather small.

Really poor. Went for a coffee. It was nearly empty on a Saturday afternoon. Couldn't get the attention of someone who was busy hoovering. Scones came ages before the drink was served and when I got up to pay the waitress disappeared again for ages. Won't be returning.

Nice hotel and the staff were very nice. The prices were about what you would expect from a town centre hotel. The location is great, within walking distance to the race course and a short bus ride to football stadium and lakeside shopping. I was put off by the a amount of what appeared to be homeless beggers and young people hanging around. A definite wart on on the face of Doncaster.

Needs a better bar in the event room upstairs. Not the large one but the smaller one.

Staff were very helpful. Great welcome as well.

The room on the third floor was quiet, the staff friendly. The central location great. The room was a bit stinky. Think it might have been down to a kind of mould growth on the wall in the room. Staff seemed concerned when told and promised to investigate. Overall very good stay.

Average. Hot water and Wi-Fi weren't working very well. The rooms are nice as are the staff but that's about it. I expect more from chain hotels.

Unreliable and disorganised, total shame of a business. Took a bar booking for 12 people cancelled 2 days before and a standard refund has currently taken 7 working days (11 days). Would highly recommend avoiding this place and it's appalling staff.

Hotel OK, recently renovated. Pretty clean. Breakfast a bit down of tone considering that you pay aside.

Check in was easy and professional. Room was well equipped and very clean. The bathroom was large for the type of room with a high powered shower. Bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the hotel is next to lots of clubs and pubs and so you can hear a bit of noise outside your windows. However, this did not detract from my stay. Car park is a multistory a short walk away and you can get a discounted nightly rate of £4 from the reception at the hotel.

Rooms excellent. Location very central.

Menu selection poor. Burger bun burnt. Chips under cooked. Large radiator in room broken and a apparently a tiny electric radiator is considered a good replacement. The room is cold.

Staff were great, Yorkshire burger awesome, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. My only concern was that it is on a noisy road and music noise from bars in the street was annoying, clearly not the hotels fault. I would recommend the Danum for price and service but take ear plugs for sleeping.

2 weeks ago someone stole my laptop in the room while it was closed. I don't know if it happened with the complicity of the staff or by their negligence but It is completely unacceptable that people walk in and out of guests` rooms. The help of the staff has been poor has they just told me that they can't do anything and it s better that I call the police. But even Worst is the Management. Despite various request the manager didn't have the bravery nor the courtesy to talk with me. It s a shame to have such a few consideration to a guest that has been stolen a 1500usd laptop and years of work, pictures and memories…

If you like a hotel with 70's antique pine furniture and uncomfortable beds in the middle of the town with night clubs open till late come here. If you want a good nights sleep try somewhere else.

Disgusting experience going for a job interview. Even tho I was the best person for job and only on the next street they give it to less qualified person because they don't like how my face looks. Disgusting racist and discriminating place. Do not go for a job interview because you won't get it no matter how nice and qualified you are to them.

This is one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever been in. First I was put in a room with a noisy lift, then I was shown a room facing the street without soundproofing. When I asked for a quiet room I was sent to a room that stank of stale cooking, with decomposing pigeons outside the window. The mattresses are like what you would find in a prison. I gave up at that point and left without getting my money back. Don't every consider staying here. You will seriously regret it.

Don't stay here if you want to sleep! Stayed on a Thursday night in October and the noise from the local "revellers" went on until 4am. In a city centre hotel some noise is expected but this was unbelievably loud. Paid for breakfast but can't comment on it as after being kept up most of the night I woke too late and had to leave without anything to eat. The Danum experience doesn't exactly set you up for the day.
