Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings.

No bar staff, good night with friends and music but at times only 1 or 2 serving, friends came back to a cold meal, if your wanting to host theme nights please make sure you have staff on first.

Great venue for holding an event or celebration. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon 3 course meal with around 100 guests. Fantastic service and the meal was delicious. Enjoyed every minute.

Myself and my wife had our wedding reception in the Lagonda Suite on 16th July 2022. The day was absolutely faultless, with the event managers having fantastic attention to detail. The food was outstanding, and delivered in a timely manner. The rooms were clean and spacious with all our guests able to check out at 11am the next morning. This meant that we were all able to sit on the patio in the fantastic weather and enjoy a morning coffee. Id highly recommend this venue to any couple.

We had our Wedding at Aston Hall on Saturday. We have spent many happy hours at the Hotel in the past, but nothing prepared us for the standard achieved on Saturday. The staff were efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was out of this world The tenderest Beef I ever tasted and a wonderful buffet in the evening. Everything went like clockwork so we could relax. I would highly recommend the Hotel for any special occasion or even a meal or coffee. Thank you for pulling out all the stops to make our day special.

Absolutely fantastic wedding venue for my sister and brother in laws wedding this weekend. Rooms were beautiful and spotless, and the staff are so attentive and cannot do enough for guests, food was lovely and we were all so well looked after and had a brilliant time, lots of happy memories made 🥰

As a wedding cake designer I frequent lots of venues & I have to say the staff are super helpful, the venue as a romantic beautiful sweeping staircase adjacent to the entrance which is a wow when you walk in, overall a beautiful Hall, wedding venue etc.

We stayed for a wedding this weekend and the food was really great, the garden area is lovely and our bedroom was huge. The service from the reception staff, wait staff and bar staff was also really good, friendly and approachable. We would have had an amazing weekend anyway, watching our dear friends get married, but the service and amenities made us comfortable too. Thank you x.

We had afternoon tea today at Aston Hall. The staff were so helpful to my mum who is on sticks and seated us on the table with the easiest access. The afternoon tea was delightful. Fresh, tasty and utterly delicious. Will definitely be revisiting soon.

Attended a wedding party here last night and the bartender was very rude the way he spoke to to guests was disgusting even threathed to get the father of the bride chucked out all because he asked why the buffet had bin taken away he had a real chip on his shoulder and I don't think he's in the right job.

Recently hired the Vanquish for a private Sunday lunch for 13 people my Dad's birthday. From start to finish I cannot fault the staff. They were so attentive throughout and made the day run so smoothly. The food as always was amazing too. Thank you for making a 60th birthday surprise one to remember.

Stayed for 1 night with breakfast for a wedding. Perfect venue. Comfy, well proportioned beds in large, airy bedrooms. Seemed clean and tidy. Pretty and leafy outside grounds. Excellent breakfast and above average food throughout the rest of day. In all honesty, I would happily get married here myself one day after this experience. And I'll definitely be back for an afternoon tea as they looked delicious!

Shower room full of spiders, no vents in windows, had to block draft with toilet roll.
Room clean although didn't have a deep bathtub or any bath for that matter although it was advertised.
Staff very friendly indeed.

Very nice country house hotel in pretty gardens. Only there one night but very comfortable rooms, nice, if slightly pricey, bar and decent food in restaurant at fair prices. Not many guests when we stayed so a little quiet but that could be a bonus? Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent breakfast as part of our deal, very happy with the stay.

Modern and historically rich hotel outside Sheffield city centre. Staff are professional, pleasant and quick to serve. Rooms are modern with some original features plus clean and really comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner is very good and affordable; recommend the bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Nice enough stay. Staff were friendly and the rooms were good. The beer in the bar was a bit off. The English breakfast was fantastic, best I've ever had in a hotel and could give most cafes a run for their money. The setting seems to be nice, plenty of parking and a number of pubs and restaurants within driving distance.

Would like to thank everyone at Aston Hall hotel for their wonderful service and efficiency at my daughters wedding yesterday, they really contributed to the smooth running of the day and nothing was too much trouble, thanks once again.

Well located off the M1, great old building with history. Attended a morning networking event, reasonable catering, nice room with great country views. No disabled parking near the main entrance and toilets difficult to access.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt pampered. It was fairly quiet but they very attentive. We attended for afternoon and as my friends little boy came with us they made him up his own little sandwich platter and sweet treat. There was a large group in the restaurant and we were asked if we would like to sit separately in the bar area… which was wonderful. We tried a selection of gin cocktails which weren't massively overpriced like usual in these type of establishments. The afternoon tea was sublime. Excellent choice of finger sandwiches, fruit and plain scones. The pettit fours were sweet and plentiful. We weren't rushed at all, just a relaxing afternoon sampling the delights that were on offer. We will certainly be returning.

Excellent service and very nice rooms. Rooms was clean, the TV worked (the amount of places I stay and the TV doesn't work is amazing) free room safe and iron and ironing board. Dinner is very good and breakfast is the same.

The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are a decent size and they're quiet. It's a typical converted manor house now used as a hotel. So it has ome veey interesting rooms and nice gardens. The gardens are at the front though right by the road which seems a little odd. They're very well looked after though. My one issue was the lack of staff. On two occasions I found reception empty and nobody about to deal with a question I had. Then at breakfast, three or four is us sat in the dining room for 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were there. Calling into the kitchen didn't help as the chef had the radio on quite loudly.

We came for a friend's wedding, we didn't stay but the guests who were said nothing but nice things. The staff were all helpful and polite, the place itself is gorgeous, the food was perfect and the facilities were all clean and well kept. There was another wedding party at the same time but it wasnt an issue, we only knew they were there when we arrived and had to ask which room to go to, otherwise we could have been the only people in the place. Will definitely consider when we book our wedding!

Had a fantastic meal Here, we attended a Santa Sunday Lunch and couldn't be happier with the entire event. The food was superb and the room beautiful. All the staff worked their socks off to ensure all went well. Thanks to all concerned and Merry Christmas to you all. See you in 2018.

Aston Hall Hotel is a welcoming place as soon as you set your foot through the door. It has spacious areas with a variety of different rooms which is great for any kind of meetings or medium sized events. The food quality was impressive for the price paid, although not on the cheap side. I would recommend people to come here.

Historic and typical English charm. However, amenities need updating. Picturesque environ and staff are generally friendly. Found food affordable but have had better.

Went to view as part of the wedding fayre. Very lovely combination of old and new within the building. Lovely character and surroundings and close to the motorway for easy access.

Attended a meeting using the upstairs meeting room. Good access for disabled, however toilets a bit of a trek. Overall a great venue for meeting.

I cannot praise Aston Hall enough for the fabulous weekend we spent there for our daughter's wedding. Every member of staff we met was pleasant and helpful, going out of their way to ensure our daughter's wedding day ran smoothly. Our room was beautiful — huge, light and airy and very tastefully decorated, beautifully clean and a really comfortable bed. The wedding breakfast was wonderful, greatly exceeding our expectations as we've previously had some disappointing wedding meals at other venues. This was stunning. Well cooked, good flavours and superb presentation. I thoroughly recommend Aston Hall to anyone looking for a wedding venue or other special occasion. Thank you so much to all the staff. Attended a wedding and stayed overnight after. The staff were friendly, professional and chatty and the room was excellent. The table service at breakfast could be improved in terms of speed and attention to requests (being seated, ordering, handling a table swap and did being delivered to the original table) but otherwise a lovely stay.

Good Value The Aston Hall Hotel was a warm and welcoming venue for myself and a large group of friends. Around twenty of us were booked in for one night and a large group breakfast the following morning. The superior room we stayed in was large and attractive. The bathroom was luxurious and whilst the room sported a generous range of tea and coffee, the room lacked a fridge. The large king sized bed was very comfy. Unfortunately the middle of the bed had a dividing line and was uncomfortable. There was still plenty of room regardless. The breakfast was very tasty. Unfortunately the waiter was awful. He clearly had no idea what anyone wanted. He wasn't very interested in listening to us or offering good service. Two of our friends waited for half an hour for a Full English and asked twice. They both ordered coffee but received a small pot of coffee and a large pot of tea. Generally the hotel was clean and accommodating. They had no problem with the groom playing music at 4am in the private bar downstairs on his new wedding gift, a bose speaker. I'd certainly visit again without hesitation.

Whilst there was another wedding on and the reception was busy, the check in time was smooth, efficient and friendly. They were very accomodating and kept the bar open for us. The room was well presented and clean. The beds allowed for a pleasant and comfortable nights sleep. Few teething problems with regards to booking & breakfast service, nothing major though otherwise would have been 5 stars.

The location is fantastic just two minutes off junction 31 M1. The room and service was fantastic and although some members of our party complained privately about their meal they never made it known to the staff. The adult meal was very good but the childrens burger was lacking. It was the burger that let it down, it didn't taste very good at all unfortunately. Overall though it was very good and highly recommend.

I stayed in the Aston Hall hotel on 2 seperate occasions in the past month. The hotel is very picturesque and has ample free parking. The rooms themselves are very modern and are a very nice size. The only downside to both the rooms I have stayed in its the tv. All the channels seem to lose signal quite frequently and it takes a couple of minutes after you have pressed the remote for the TV to change to the channel you selected. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and the bar food is very nice, although you may need to get in early as the eating area isn't very big. Breakfast is a good size with plenty of selection. The staff are very polite and attentive to all my needs. On both occasions I stayed for a couple of days on both occasions, after 2 days the key card stopped working and I had to go back to reception too get it renewed — which was Ann inconvenience. Overall a good hotel and I would recommend.

Last stayed here 10 years ago when dark and old and awful Much nicer decor now, modern spacious rooms in west wing, generally attentive staff Good breakfast and sleep Given disabled room — didn't realise till saw no bath and emergrncy pull cord — asked to swap for bath — quickly done, but why not tell me at first? Dinner a bad experience — have to wait in bar lounge — after 10 mins asked for dinner — got given menu and offered drinks 10 mins later — finally got in but 30 mins later than table booked for — young woman either not listening or run off feet or both — need more staff in bar esp as they take food order Wrong starter arrived — put right quickly with apology, food very nice but service so sloooow! more staff required and better management Breakast nice and hot and choices but no serviets for very hot plates and big queue as didn't replace choices before ran out eg bacon, beans etc bit disorgansied but 2 weddings — no excuse — staff acordingly! Teething problems but generally ok would stay there again lovely hotel and wonderful gardens.
